Lebanese thrash / groove metal titans Phenomy have unleashed their blistering new album 'Syndicate Of Pain', out March 3rd 2022, along with harrowing animation video 'Lead Me To My Throne'. 'Syndicate Of Pain' is a concept album about an asylum ran by Dr Anton Shuman, a mad scientist that is manipulating criminals and patients labelled insane in his facility. The album later reveals that these patients are not being cured, but are part of a bigger and darker project, that even Dr Schuman himself is being deceived by. In the album is included the single “When The Darkness Comes” Dr Shuman: "First it was the experiments, then there was the knowledge and then came the power of possession and manipulation. It felt godly to be able to create and destroy lives and matter. It became addictive, the greed feeds of the soul of men and vanity makes them feel flawless. At some point we feel in control and indestructible until we realize we are just a fragile pile of dust roaming in the devil's den. And you took advantage of that, you knew that this is what would keep me going and you were just sitting there watching me dance like a puppet in your hands. Doing all the tricks and then taraaa voila, you earned it all" Website: www.phenomyofficial.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/phenomyofficial Instagram: www.instagram.com/phenomyofficial Twitter: www.twitter.com/phenomyofficial YouTube: www.youtube.com/phenomy Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2oeDZHOGoxpg1kOq39JrL5 Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/us/artist/phenomy/1351261592 SoundCloud: http://www.soundcloud.com/phenomyofficial

Italian melancholic metallers SilentLie are giving fans another taste of their forthcoming second full-length "Equilibrium" with the unveiling of their new music video for the second single "On My Skin", a track about the story of the value of life to a son, through difficulties and hopes. It’s a smooth hard rock song, with a good rhythm, and a very catchy refrain. Always drawn to the dark side of emotions, SilentLie's "Equilibrium" proceeds along this path. It stands on modern heavy tones and an obscure mood that can be compared to bands like Ghost, Ozzy Osbourne, and The Cure. Spreading their dark wings, drums, and bass, SilentLie builds a wall of sound on which the guitars dance with tombstone keys while a powerful female voice embraces the listener with gritty, but catchy melodies. Many of the songs on the album, thematically, deal with the eternal struggle between good and evil, with lyrics introspective and personal. There’s a maturity to the music that acts as a pendulum swinging between 80s liquid verses and gloomy, almost doomy, parts. "Our first EP, "Blood Under Snow" was a collection of five obscure and atmospheric tracks, while our first full-length "Layers of Nothing" featured dark/gothic influences with some old-fashioned Sabbath riffing. The new material on 'Equilibrium" reveals a more focused sound with a blasting production. It's deep, heavy, and gritty with a dark outline. It's a collection of 10 heavy songs, a journey in the dark without fear." adds the band. “Equilibrium” was mixed in the U.S.A. by Grammy Award winner Dave Hagen at Dark Horse Studios (Mastodon, Evanescence, Alice in Chains). The album will be released via Rockshots Records on September 30th.
SilentLie was formed in Trieste, Italy in 2005. In 2007, they recorded "Behind My Face", a demo that gave the band several opportunities. In 2008, the song "Silence of Your Mind" appeared on two compilations: The Funeral Vol.2 (for the American label 272 Records) and Maximum Rock Attack (for the Magazine Maximum Rock). In 2009, the song "River Of Torments" was part of the Blood Sisters film soundtrack, from which a video was also extracted. In 2013, the band released the EP Blood Under Snow, a collection of five obscure and atmospheric tracks and in the same year, the video of the single "Regret" was filmed. In 2015, the debut full-length album "Layers Of Nothing" was released by Bakerteam / Scarlet records, later followed by the video of the title track. The album featured dark / gothic influences with some old-fashioned Sabbath riffing. After a hiatus due to personal reasons, SilentLie returned in 2021 to begin work on their second album to be mixed at Dark Horse Studios in the USA by the Grammy Award-winning Dave Hagen. The new material reveals a more modern and focused sound with a blasting production, but SilentLie still holds its identity: deep, heavy, and gritty with a dark outline.
The new force in U.S. technical death metal, Proceed On Your Way To Oblivion, is set to release debut album Ceremorphosis on September 23 via Blood Blast Distribution. Featuring current and past members of Through The Eyes Of The Dead, Cognitive, We Are The Romans, and Aronious, the band has released two singles from the album so far, "Atrophic Radiance" and "The Whispered One," which can be heard at the links below.
Album Credits: *Guest lead on "Atrophic Radiance" by Steven Funderburk (Wretched, Through The Eyes Of The Dead)

Pre-orders:
Birmingham, UK metal quintet Oceans Ate Alaska — James Harrison [vocals], Chris Turner [drums], James "Jibs" Kennedy [guitar], Adam Zytkiewicz [guitar], and Mike Stanton [bass] — have announced their new album Disparity, out on the 1st of September 2022 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it here. Now, the band has shared the video for the new song "Nova." Watch it here. "In an overcrowded and oppressive modern society, it is all too easy to fall under pressure; collapse inwardly until self-destruct," the band says. "'Nova' develops on the aggressive themes that were smashed into the metal world as of recent with 'New Dawn.' Doubling down on chaotic rhythms, overlapping dissonance and vocal hooks that will get your fist pumping in the air. Nova mirrors the inner human disparity, and has you banging your f***ing head to it." OAA previously dropped the single "New Dawn," which was hailed by Revolver as "If this is the sound a new dawn, then we are fucked. The latest from U.K. metal crew... packs a disgusting amount of sludgy heaviness into a concise minute and 48 seconds. Don't look for any of the pretty, melodic hooks of its predecessor, 2020 single 'Metamorph.' This is unfiltered nihilism." It was also lauded as "ridiculously heavy" by Rock Sound. Oceans Ate Alaska have carefully and quietly progressed to this point. Following their 2015 debut Lost Isles, they presented Hikari in 2017. The song "Hansha" amassed over 12 million Spotify streams as the album surpassed 40 million total streams. Upon arrival, New Noise Magazine raved, "Optimistic, empowering, and mesmerizing, Oceans Ate Alaska’s bold sophomore album is a true progressive metalcore triumph." Along the way, they toured with the likes of Wage War, The Plot In You, We Came As Romans, Like Moths to Flames, and more. Throughout 2021, they assembled what would become Disparity. Inspired by a mutual love for the likes of Bonobo and Alina Baraz, collaborator Clem Cherry enhanced the production with airy beat-craft and immersive sonic accents. At the same time, they absorbed the unease of the world, infusing a post-apocalyptic thematic undercurrent. In the end, Oceans Ate Alaska encode an important message inside of Disparity. "For us, it's about uplifting listeners," Harrison says. "We want them to feel empowered to realize they can be the change they want. It's still what we're doing. It's been a long time since we put out an album, but we're here." Indeed it has been a minute since the last OAA album but it was entirely worth the wait. The band will be unleashing their fifth studio album "The Blood of Creation" this coming fall on November 4th and they are excited to share its cover artwork and track listing listed below along with the record's teaser at https://youtu.be/V-9Cr-ABE3I "This album is quite dark topically, the lyrics speak of war, fear, sacrifice, and pain, and the music although very classical and explorative also has some very evil moments throughout. We were in a dark place due to the pandemic and the music reflects some of those emotions." adds guitarist / vocalist Chris Osterman. "The Blood of Creation" follows Iron Kingdom's highly praised 2019 full-length "On The Hunt", which took the band to new heights with tours across Canada, the USA, and Europe along with topping the Canadian loud radio charts at #5 (Earshot) and garnering such reviews as "Holy Shit! Have you heard Iron Kingdom's On the Hunt? If you haven't you are missing out on one of the coolest albums of 2019. 10/10" (Keeper Magazine),"Classic sound, modern feel" Powerplay Magazine (UK), "a glorious gallop of foot on the monitor, traditional heavy metal that will have NWOBHM fans drooling. 9/10" (Metal Gods TV) and "40 minutes of enjoyable no-frills classic metal." (Angry Metal Guy). "The Blood of Creation" continues the reign of classic heavy metal that Iron Kingdom has been presenting over the years to music lovers of the style along with keeping the flame burning for a new generation. "We wanted to create music in a style of metal that seemed to have been forgotten when we were kids. Since no one else seemed to be doing it, we decided to play metal the way it used to be played in the 70s and 80s. That was the reason for forming Iron Kingdom. Essentially, we wanted to give people an exciting show like an early Iron Maiden, Scorpions, or Saxon show from the 1980s." recalls Osterman on the beginnings of the band. Iron Kingdom has come a long way since their 2011 debut "Curse Of The Voodoo Queen" and their next offering is a potent full force of classic shredding heavy metal thunder and will take the fans into some unique fantastic worlds, but will also show a dark side of storytelling. "I think we started as a bit more of a hard rock band on the first record, taking a progressive metal dive for Gates Of Eternity and Ride For Glory, then for On The Hunt, I’d say we went fully classic metal, leading into this new record being a pretty solid mix of all those styles combined. We also came out of the pandemic, which brought some darker emotions some people may have never experienced previously that I think this album may parallel. In the end though, we want people to get the chance to escape this world for a time and find solace in the music." adds Osterman. The new album also sees new drummer Max Friesen (ex-Ophelia Falling) making his recording debut with the band to add another angle to their song writing for this release. The album was self-produced by Iron Kingdom with mixing done by Andy Boldt and mastering by Greg Reely (Overkill, Fear Factory, 3 Inches of Blood). Recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, and Saxon, the album pre-order for "The Blood of Creation" is available at the following links: In additional news, Iron Kingdom have announced their album launch show for November 4th in Vancouver, BC, hosted by the Invisible Orange at the Wise Hall. The brainchild of Nero Bellum, the dark, aggressive electronic assault of his group’s 2003 debut album ‘Divine Infekt’ immediately earned them popularity and notoriety worldwide. Its follow-up, ‘INRI’ (2005), displayed a marked evolution with a lyrical focus on religious themes. In the ensuing years, Bellum's music has taken him down an even darker path, his distinctive whispered-scream vocals guiding us through an idiosyncratic take on modern underground music that has implemented elements of black metal and post-punk influences that, although often featuring haunting melodies, has often had an undercurrent of unbridled menace. The brand new Psyclon Nine album, ‘Less To Heaven’, is a complex and immersive work that sees Bellum at a creative peak, with concussive, machine-precise drums, hammering guitars, scathing vocals and evil electronics all interplaying seamlessly. It also sees him charting undefined musical territory that bridges elements of metalcore with doom electronics, trip-techno with black metal, and experimental cinematic soundscapes with alternative rock. While many acts have a constant faster-louder approach to industrial-black metal, Bellum is unafraid to use all manner of tempos to build atmosphere. "Thanatology" deals with lyricist composer and vocalist Hiram López personal compilation of interests such as movies, literature, and most of all psychology and the scientific study of death and losses in the forensic field, due to the musician’s health state as well as the COVID-19 pandemic while writing and recording the album during summer of 2021. Sagreveht was founded by Hiram López and Aldo Hernández during the summer of 2021, in Culiacán Sinaloa, a bloody, violent, and hot city located in Mexico’s northwest. The original idea behind Sagreveht’s music was just to have fun and keep Hiram’s mind out of his recently (at the time) diagnosed cancer and the treatment he was going through as well as the pandemic situation happening globally. They recorded their debut album “Thanatology” in Hiram´s bedroom and released it locally, but due to the overwhelmingly good response, the project had various local musicians joining the band such as Sócrates González and Feryn D Diaz on guitars, and Hugo Félix on bass. During the winter of 2022, they got signed by Wormholedeath to promote their debut album this being a game-changer for the band in the foreseeable future. Line Up:
sagreveht.bandcamp.com/releases Welcome to the New Southern Gothic. Friday 22nd July marked the release of "Starlight And Ash", the long-awaited 5th album by Oceans Of Slumber. Equipped with a profoundly deep musical background, a staunch reverence for the American South, and starry-eyed artistic curiosity, Oceans Of Slumber have created a sonic expression like no other. Starlight And Ash isn’t a mere compilation of songs, but it comes with an underlying concept, Cammie Beverly (vocals) comments: “The album Starlight and Ash is scenery and stories inspired by characters, settings, and themes from the band’s (traumatic) childhood experiences. These encounters are woven into the lives and tales of individuals in a fictitious community living on the Gulf Coast.” Check out the video for 'The Hanging Tree' to dive further into the storyline. “An old childhood home, a frequently visited spot along the meadow, a closet we pass in our grandmother's house, a tree in the town centre that has scars from its terrible past...places hold memories and they never forget them even when buried under the changes of time”, says Cammie Beverly about 'The Hanging Tree'. Make sure to (re-)visit 'The Lighthouse (Official Video)', as both cinematic videos, that were directed by Angela Herr and Bianca Greene for FirstSight Agency, are conceptionally connected. Fronted by the inimitable power, range, and grace of vocalist Cammie Beverly, Starlight and Ash posits Oceans Of Slumber in a league of their own. This is as much eloquent extensions of famed singer-songwriters Nick Cave and Chris Stapleton as it is the heart-breaking pulse of Type O Negative and Katatonia. Starlight and Ash isn’t Metal, but its edges are. The album was produced by Joel Hamilton (Violet Road, Battle of Mice) and mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Yes, Voivod). Its stunning artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Heaven Shall Burn and many more). The band previously released 3 videos for Starlight and Ash that can be viewed here:

Urban Primate is a modern and intense metal band with the ability and eagerness to implement a variety of elements from hard rock, 90's grunge rock, and heavy metal to deliver a solid and holistic metal experience. They have signed a licensing deal with Wormholedeath for the reissue of their album Desolation, which will be re-released on July 29th, 2022. The band speaking about the collaboration with Wormholedeath stated: "We are very excited to sign with Wormholedeath and a family of very talented bands. This is a group of very skilled and passionate people who loves music and share the same values as us. After many great conversations with the owner Carlo Belotti, we truly believe that Wormholedeath is the right place to develop our music and to form a great partnership for the future. Wormholedeath will release and distribute our album “Desolation” and we are really looking forward to collaborating with WHD" Urban Primate was first formed in 2010 and consisted at that time of five dedicated members, who wrote and released the band's first album “Urban Primate” in 2010. The album was the band's first touch into the Danish Hardrock scene and made the way for a variety of gigs in Denmark. This first album was heavily inspired by bands such as Filter, Alice in chains, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo fighter, etc. The vocals and melodies always had a huge role in Urban Primates' production and on this first full album, Benjamin Larsen drew references to vocalists like Richard Patrick, Layne Staley, and Chester Bennington. Urban Primate played several venues in Denmark from 2010 to 2012. Over the years the band changed members a few times with only Benjamin, Christian, and Jakob as ongoing members of the group. In 2011 the band once again went to the studio to record an EP with five tracks. The EP changed the band's focus from a softer hard-rock band to a more crunchy metal sound. The EP was more aggressive, the vocals harder, and the beats faster and more hard-hitting. In 2012 the band split up and Urban Primate was finally shut down. Yet, in the summer of 2020, the band members felt it was time to revive Urban Primate. In the middle of the worldwide covid-19 pandemic, the band started rehearsals and shortly after released their first single, “My Terror Calling” – a song heavily inspired by 2000’s nu-metal and grunge, after eight years of silence. The band released their 2nd full-length album DESOLATION I 2021. Yet again the band's focus had changed and the style was now even more inspired by the late 90’ies grunge combined with a more modern metal sound. The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Nicklas Sonne, Sonne studios, giving the band a deeper and more modern sound to their music. In march 2022 Urban Primate joined forces with the Italian label WORMHOLEDEATH. A strong and dedicated partnership focused on introducing Urban Primates music worldwide. Urban Primate is at the moment working on new songs for an upcoming album. Line up:
