Belgian black metal enigmas Cult of Erinyes stream their highly anticipated fourth album, Æstivation, via InvisibleOranges.com. Set for international release on December 21st via Amor Fati Productions, hear Cult of Erinyes' Æstivation in its entirety exclusively HERE. Drawing its energy from the darkest thoughts of its creators, this extreme and punitive outfit intends to evolve in the realms of black metal while pushing its limits ever further. Spawned with the intention to distill artistic audacity into respected traditions, Cult of Erinyes belong to the forbidden experience, where music is merely a symptom of a higher truth. Ritualistic hymns, vicious and twisted vocals, furious rhythmics, and ambient digressions are only a few weapons which have made Cult of Erinyes a band to be reckoned with. Formed late 2009, Cult of Erinyes released their debut EP, Golgotha, early 2011 through Kunsthauch & Dunkelkunst, as well as a limited-edition tape through Caverna Abismal Records. Quickly after, their first full-length, A Place to Call My Unknown, was released by a very young Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Productions, gathering attention from all over the world. This got them signed to Code666 Records, who would end up releasing two more full-lengths (2013's Blessed Extinction and 2017's Tiberius), while the band kept self-financing smaller-scale releases like a split with Zifir and two EPs respectively titled Transcendence (2016) and Veneer (2018). It was Veneer, however, that truly changed everything for Cult of Erinyes. After a drastic lineup change, including new drummer Ahephaïm (Sabathan, ex-Enthroned) and new vocalist/producer Déhà (Slow, Maladie), it was clear that the band needed something more. The answer was to be found in Amor Fati Productions, with whom the band have joined forces to unleash their fourth full-length, Æstivation. More tumultuous than ever, the band unveils its true potential to lift their music to the highest of spheres, delivering raw fury and haunting melodies. With this new lineup, including members of esteemed acts like Wolvennest, LVTHN, Imber Luminis, and many more, Cult of Erinyes are ready to bring their enticing yet challenging music to the stage once more. Æstivation is thus both strident development and grand rebirth: bottomless immersion awaits! Toronto symphonic black metal band Astaroth Incarnate have teamed up with Metal Injection to stream the entirety of Ascendance via Metal Injection. The EP will be released tomorrow. Listen to the entire EP here: https://metalinjection.net/av/extreme-of-the-extreme/extreme-of-the-extreme-astaroth-incarnate-rise-from-the-ashes-with-ascendance Astaroth Incarnate are back and bolder than ever. The Canadian symphonic extreme metal band started down the left-hand path with their first official EP in 2017 titled Omnipotence – The Infinite Darkness which was the successor to an unreleased self-titled one back in 2015. Their first EP picked up a vast majority of music critics’ ears to their unique style. Now the quintet are back with a new EP entitled Ascendance, which raises the bar even higher. Across the 11 minute epic split-tracked I am Fire / I am Death (alpha / omega), the band weave a tapestry of extremity, flirting with black metal at its core while seamlessly transitioning over to melodic, gothic, doom, symphonic & death metal with ease. Dynamic orchestral motifs soar over speedy riffs, while the titular Astaroth lays down a genre-defying vocal performance. His growls, shrieks, grunts and cleans easily rival those of the scene’s compadres, imbued with theatrical malice. The guitar work is also similarly stunning, such as at the close of “Omega” when Pablo Sagastume shreds over the thundering rhythm section. The record closes out paying homage to one of their diverse influences - the classic Cradle of Filth number “Her Ghost In The Fog” - though naturally with the band’s own unique twist. A fitting ending to a short dive into the twisted world of Astaroth Incarnate. The band aptly name their style of music ‘Apocalyptic Metal’, and state that “we strived for years to create something we hadn’t heard or seen before. Our Avant-Garde approach to song writing eventually led us to perceive each new song with a completely different mindset. Welcome the beginning of the end and thrust towards your ensuing demise with true purpose.” FFO: Emperor, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/astarothincarnate Bandcamp - https://Astarothincarnate.bandcamp.com/ Instagram - https://www.Instagram.com/astarothincarnate Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/astarothincarn8 YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgSkH4zJ8My8CNuHr-wMK-Q Mexican Death Metallers CRS stream entirety of "The Collector of Truths" via Metal Injection5/12/2019 Mexican death metal band CRS have teamed up with Metal Injection to stream the entirety of their new album The Collector of Truths. The Sonora-based band, formerly known as Cirrosis, originated in 1991 and released their debut LP Reciclando Desesperación in 1999. Now, twenty years after that first album and almost thirty years since the band's inception, CRS are back with a thirst for blood.
In the vein of Morbid Angel, Carcass, Fear Factory, and Cynic, CRS prides themselves on playing music that's both brutal and nuanced, with melodies that rise above the underlying chaos. Vocalist Sir Oz, guitarist/bassist Francisco “Chucky” Oroz, guitarist/bassist Joseph Lev, and drummer Tavo Ramirez were joined by two international guest musicians for this album: Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Chimaira) plays drums on “A Better Place to Hate,” “Tan Lejos de Dios (Nowhere.. But Here),” and “I’m the Universe," while Linus Klausenitzer of Obscura and Alkaloid lends his bass work to “The Art of Breathing. ” The Collector of Truths will be available on December 6 2019 through Concreto Records. The album is set to be released tomorrow. Listen to the album in full here: http://www.alternativecontrolct.com/music/exclusive-stream-incarnate-by-the-world-without-us/#.XbHw1OhKjIV The World Without Us came into existence through the union of two old friends. After months of trials and tribulation, Chris Fenimore (Lead Guitar) and Mario Canavarro (Vocals) managed to piece together a line-up with guitarist James Sundwall, bassist Peter Baliira, and drummer Steve Campbell. With that, the band was off to the races. Since their first show in May of 2018 the band has accomplished a shocking amount in a relatively short time. The group has shared the stage with everyone, from local heavy hitters If Not For Me and Burial in the Sky to big names, including Metal legend Soulfly. This West Chester, Pennsylvania five piece is based around the music store which employed multiple members, Taylor’s Music, a local institution for underground musicians. This has allowed their unique prog inspired sound to flourish as the members personal interactions inform long term growth. It has also instantly embedded them deeply into their local scene. This has paid off in getting them a chance to record with TribeSound Records and granted them opportunities to bring their thrilling live act to stages around the region. Embracing their status as newcomers and approaching the scene with genuine and deep enthusiasm, The World Without Us is a veritable breath of fresh air for the heavy music community. Bringing in a deep variety of influences and placing a focus on giving back to the scene which they love, the band has quickly grown into a force to be reckoned with. Over the top and undeniably insane, these Southeast Pennsylvanian musicians have the world at their feet as they gaze, salivating into their starry future. https://www.facebook.com/theworldwithoutus/ Turkish Black Metal cult Horrocious stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, Depleted Light and the Death of Uniqueness, via MetalBite.com. Set for international release on October 25th via Osmose Productions, hear Horrocious' Depleted Light and the Death of Uniqueness in its entirety exclusively HERE. Inexorable hatred occurred with the coming together of Godslaying Hellblast, Sarinvomit, and Persecutory members in early 2015. Horrocious started as a two-man black metal band to spread the infernal sounds that symbolize the destruction of the universe under the infinite chaos and eternal dominance of diabolic nothingness, and in this way, they recorded a four-track debut EP, Obscure Dominance Of Nothingness, which was released as limited-edition cassette in 2015 and CD edition in 2016. Later, three new members (C.G. on guitars, E.K. on bass, Alexey on drums) were added to the line-up to record an eight-track debut full-length in the first quarter of 2018. On this debut full-length, Depleted Light and the Death of Uniqueness, Horrocious points the egoism and ambition of the divinity and his spatial prison in the the archia light of his orders when he wanted to be respected, and prepares the ground for an endless struggle. True power of the Lucipherian energy above the spiritual light and embraces infinite sinfulness by rebelling against the incomprehensible secret uniqueness trapped in sanctity. Would it be forgotten that the war of freedom given by the falling angels and the wrath of sealed old evil spirits? From the creation to the scarcity of information, the salvation of humiliated existence will be realized by the destruction of all the things mentioned as goodness, so the control of the worlds was only an embarrassing force, and the irresistible principles and authorities destroyed endless dissatisfaction and the system was designed in stages and the system of interdependence was inevitable. Swedish sludge band Pyramido are now streaming the entirety of their new album "Fem" in full via Ghost Cult Magazine. The album will be released tomorrow via The Sign Records. Listen to the album in full here: http://ghostcultmag.com/exclusive-album-stream-pyramido-fem/ Pyramido was formed in the southern Swedish city of Malmö in 2006. Five different individuals getting together, sharing a common passion for heavy, distorted and slowed down music... Suddenly these people seem to be getting together every week. Songs are starting to take shape and these five are slowly transforming into one musical being. With a new name, Pyramido, they are now a band with dreams of touring and releasing music. Since then this collective of friends has released four full-length records, a number of EPs, and played every dark and damp squat of Europe you might imagine. In the early days of Pyramido’s existence, the band played a generic take on sludge/doom metal with influences too obvious to mention. Over the years, Pyramido has steadily evolved, eventually becoming the more diverse and not so anxious -- the band you see today. This transformation started to show on the bands third record, Saga, making a more permanent mark on the 2016 follow up, Vatten, on which the influences from the band members' combined passion for music of all kind started to make its way into Pyramido’s rusty soundscape. The brand new album, entitled simply Fem, which is Swedish for the number five, was recorded and mixed during the fall of 2018, with engineer John Rönnerblad. Written over the course of a few years, Pyramido has taken the time to let the new material breathe and evolve naturally, not being afraid to try new tempos, melodies, and ideas sometimes foreign to the genre. Drawing inspiration from the delicate melodic figures of dreamy 90’s indie rock, the folky fuzz of vintage Swedish psychedelia, and the bittersweet harmonies of Henrik Berggren and Broder Daniel. Then imagine these influences being suffocated by the impact of the heaviness and aggression that is Pyramido, leaving only about a few percent of them passably breathing. The result is a somewhat heavy-hearted and melodic sludge metal/hardcore attack, once perfectly described as "…a warm hug rather than a punch in the face." With Pyramido you won’t get the usual macho, congregating-at-a-sacrificial-altar- doing-bonghits-with-Satan-while-worshipping-riffs-and-watching-vintage-biker-flicks-bullshit-shtick that is commonly represented when describing this kind of music. What you will get though is honest, soulful, yet aggressive and crushingly heavy music with strong roots in DIY culture and lyrics dealing with the struggles of everyday life and a desperate hope for social change. |
