Belgian Atmospheric Black / Doom Metal band Splendidula presents 'Kilte', the second single from their upcoming album "Absentia", set for release on April 3 2026, via Argonauta Records. Following the emotionally charged first single 'Echoes Of Quiet Remain', Kilte stands as the album’s most intense and searing moment. Tormented screams, relentless energy and hauntingly atmospheric passages ultimately unfold into a lingering climax, carrying the listener through a frozen landscape of grief, isolation and inner torment. Pre-orders for Absentia are now live at Argonauta Records and Bandcamp Written in the aftermath of several personal tragedies, Absentia opens a new and vulnerable chapter for Splendidula. The album was created during a period marked by the passing of loved ones, including bassist Peter Chromiak. Musically, the band blends black metal and doom with fragile atmospheric passages, creating a sound drenched in sorrow, tension and introspection. Choosing our native language allowed the emotions to surface without filters. Grief, emptiness, and inner struggle are woven deeply into the song, with the music reflecting a journey through sorrow, isolation, and vulnerability. It has become the track we feel most intensely when performing live, and at first, singing it was almost too heavy to bear. We hope that same emotional intensity reaches the listener just as deeply.” Bandcamp YouTube Spotify https://www.argonautarecords.com/

After years of ritualistic live performances, March 2026 will mark the final live chapter of the band's debut album "The Serpent’s Cult". This closing phase will serve as the ceremonial end of an era that shaped the band’s identity through darkness, devotion, and uncompromising Death Metal. At the same time, Dalighet has confirmed that their second full-length album is scheduled for release in Winter 2026. The upcoming material represents a new chapter — more aggressive, more mature, and conceptually focused — pushing the band beyond the foundations laid by their previous work. The cult does not disappear. It evolves. More details will be revealed in due time. https://www.facebook.com/Dalighetmxband French Death Metallers Warside announce debut album via Gruesome Records; first single out now29/1/2026 French death metal band WarsideE, drawing influence from acts such as Dying Fetus, Vomitory, and Misery Index, will release their debut full-length album "Cognitive Extinction" on May 8th, 2026 via Gruesome Records. The album introduces a renewed lineup on vocals and drums, bringing increased intensity, precision, and cohesion to the band’s sound. With Cognitive Extinction, Warside sharpen their identity, leaning into a rawer and more aggressive approach built around direct, effective tracks. "For the album, it's the idea of the new line up (there are only two of us left from the original EP, The Enemy Inside) that pushed us to have a rawer, more direct sound. The first single has quite personal lyrics about the damage that screens and digital technology are doing to our children's brains and intelligence, and the decline of culture. That's the main theme of the album." - says the band The first single, “Synthetic Abyss,” is out today and available on all digital stores worldwide: https://artists.landr.com/warside-France Official Music Video: https://youtu.be/iFQr8yw8Kpw Album credits: Recorded by: Warside & Kevin Paradis Mixed / Mastered by: Thibault Bernard – Convulsound Studio Artwork by: Jesus Lhysta (Rotted Artist) Formed in 2018, Warside is a French death metal band with a raw, direct, and uncompromising sound. The band first made a name for itself on the underground scene with the release of its debut EP, The Enemy Inside, in 2020. Thanks to numerous live performances in clubs and metal festivals across France and Europe, Warside built a solid reputation on stage. In 2023, the band embarked on its first European tour alongside Vader and Vomitory as part of the “40 Years of the Apocalypse” tour. This tour was followed in 2024 by a second European tour with Vader, covering 15 countries. https://warside1.com/ https://www.facebook.com/GruesomeRecordsPT The concept of Mývalyĭr was developed over long-distance lockdown conversations between isolated musicians, before the band’s identity fully coalesced in 2023. While Mývalyĭr is a new entity, those gathered beneath its banner all have previous recording and touring experience, with drummer Stephen Wilkinson having played with the likes of One Machine, Dragged Into Sunlight and Blood Countess among many others. In 2025, the band unleashed two thunderous singles, each accompanied with their own impactful video, showcasing glimpses of melodic death metal with folk flavours and an enthralling narrative that was to come. And now it is time for the full length debut from this genuinely exciting band…it is time for a momentous album that explores the concepts of eternal struggle, fortitude and transformation, set to a soundtrack of dramatic, dynamic metal. It is time for "The Past Tales". The opening introductory piece that is ‘Requiem’ plucks us from our reality and casts us into the storm-tossed darkness of Mývalyĭr’s world. It’s a place of sinister shadows, menace and fear, but also courage and nobility of spirit. The exhilarating, intricate, melodic guitar work of ‘Reign’ is as vital to the enveloping atmosphere of The Past Tales as the crushing, heavyweight force of ‘The Mighty Never Fall’. The towering edifice of ‘The Past Tales Part 1’ brings together so much of what Mývalyĭr have to offer in a staggering epic of shifting moods and many facets, with the extraordinary emotion of ‘The Past Tales Part 2’ completing it in quite breath taking fashion. This is the kind of album that you lose yourself in for its duration, consumed by the valour and tragedy, the deep shades of melancholy and hard-won triumphs. When the majestic ‘Renascence’ leads you back into the light it’s like waking from a dream – a dream that you’ll want to find your way back to, again and again. By calling on the services of Lasse Lammert (Alestorm, Sigh etc), Kevin Hare (Blasphemer, Solar Sons etc) and by Janne Lunnas (Boreal Grave, Shade Of Sorrow etc) for different recording, mixing and mastering roles, Mývalyĭr were able to capture the strength, depth, textures and layers that they were looking for, bringing The Past Tales to life in all it’s dark and terrible glory. With stunning cover artwork created by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Iced Earth etc) every aspect of The Past Tales is exactly as it needs to be. On February 27th you will be invited to join the struggle – be ready when the call comes. The first single 'Maan Nielemä' is out now, accompanied by a music video available here: https://youtu.b/L4ygntH5stk The first single from the new Hautajaisyö album, Surun Paino (Weight Of Sorrow), comes with brutality. 'Maan Nielemä' (Swallowed by Dirt) showcases the band at their best. It features heavy riffs, violent drums and low-growl vocals. The song is inspired by the year 536, the "Year of Darkness", when the world was shrouded in darkness and nearly all of humanity perished. Amidst the chaos, a lone gravedigger toils endlessly. The song has a DIY music video which was filmed in one take at the band's practice venue. This fits well, as the album was recorded by the band themselves using their own equipment. "'Maan Nielemä' is one of my favourite songs from the new album. It hits like a hammer on hot metal, and you can feel the darkness of the song. Making the video was damn fun. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do, and we tried to keep the costs down. Then we just 'hit our heads against the wall' until we had the finished video." says vocalist Janne Partanen

To celebrate this new partnership, the band unveils a new album, "The Unyielding Season", set for release on 27th March. Making a stand, Winterfylleth's ninth album is a social commentary wrapped in meticulously crafted poetry and prose. Where the preceding album, The Imperious Horizon (2024), described an ominous, malevolent force, lurking in the distance, The Unyielding Season now explores said threat becoming a reality. The raging wildfire to its predecessor’s calculating, icy cold, Winterfylleth’s first offering for their new record label is a reflection and a rebellion against the turmoil tearing individuals apart. It is a cry against the unsustainable weight of fear and pressure being pushed into the world, by the agents of an non-resting, and unyielding force for evil. The first glimpse into the infernal release is 'Heroes of a Hundred Fields'. Winterfylleth weave an epic story into a raging battle hymn, describing brave minds joining forces against a common oppressor to fight for their freedom.
Winterfylleth about 'Heroes of a Hundred Fields"- "'Heroes of a Hundred Fields’ is framed in a wartime, battlefield setting and uses the premise of soldiers coming together, united as brothers, to fight against a foe who are powerful, oppressive, and domineering. It talks about how people should come together and fight for the freedoms they have and not succumb to those who would attack them and try to weaken them (or take them away entirely). There have been so many ideas and schemes pushed into the world over the last few years that only serve to erode people’s personal freedoms, slowly, little-by-little, until they are gone. This song talks about ‘lighting the beacons of rebellion’ against those who would seek to undermine the way of life and freedom that we all – hopefully – hold dear.” Where our surroundings grow more challenging every day, Winterfylleth offers a pause for respite and resistance. The world is on fire, and The Unyielding Season is a warning. Winterfylleth about The Unyielding Season: “2026 marks a year of big changes for Winterfylleth! A new label, a new member, a new album, and the landmark of 20 years making music together. We are enthused by what this new chapter will bring, and as a result, we are now able to share our ninth album, The Unyielding Season, with the world. It is also a powerful and virulent first output, through which we seal our new collaboration with Napalm Records. In many ways, the new album is a reflection on – and a rebellion against – the turmoil’s and fears that are tearing the lives of many individuals apart. It is a cry against the unsustainable & constant weight of malevolence and pressure being pushed into the world by agents of an un-resting and unyielding force for evil. We hope the album resonates with you, stirs your soul, and gives you a source for hope. But, we also hope it makes you ask questions of your own circumstances and gives you pause to consider the unnerving state of the world we all share.”
'Heroes of a Hundred Fields' is the first revolt on their ten-song manifesto, describing brave minds joining forces against a common oppressor to fight for their freedom. The song unfolds in marvellous grandeur as chants of “Rebellions beacons now alight”, ring out against a tide of evil. With 'Echoes In The After', Winterfylleth deliver a striking epic: adapted from a poem by Sir Philip Sidney’s late 16th-century romance “The Countess Of Pembroke’s Arcadia”, the track was written as a reaction to the felling of the famous 'Robin Hood' tree at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian’s Wall, in the North East of the UK. The following track, 'A Hollow Existence', opens up with galloping drums and explodes into equally aggressive and atmospheric black metal fireworks. The band’s trademark sound continues throughout 'Perdition’s Flame' into the album’s title track, a powerful observation of our world’s current situation and a voice for those silenced by its hostility. Atmospheric masters Winterfylleth then pause their rage, making room for 'Unspoken Elegy', an acoustic guitar-driven instrumental enriched by equally hopeful and menacing cello melodies, a hauntingly beautiful illustration of the dichotomy within The Unyielding Season. 'In Ashen Wake' takes up the perilous undertone, taking its time before unveiling itself as another highly melodic black metal saga. 'Toward Elysium' expands on that with a strong, old-school-inspired guitar riff, thrilling and catchy. Following another instrumental, the beautifully structured 'Where Dreams Once Grew', Winterfylleth end the album running order with a bonus track, a cover of fellow Brits Paradise Lost’s 'Enchantment', originally released as the opening track on their 1995 classic Draconian Times. Winterfylleth will bring The Unyielding Season to the stage this April, touring the UK and Ireland alongside Blackbraid and Noctem.
Facebook || Instagram || Bandcamp TarantisT is calling on artists, creators, and cultural voices around the world to stand with the Iranian people, to speak for those who have been silenced, and to help ensure that the suffering of an entire nation is seen, heard, and never ignored. Iran is currently facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. What began as peaceful civilian protests against the occupying regime has escalated into a nationwide massacre, with the regime deploying heavy and military-grade weapons into city streets and brutally killing more than 30,000 people. Families are denied the return of their loved ones’ bodies or are extorted for outrageous sums, while reports describe piles of corpses and streets running with blood. In an attempt to conceal the scale of these crimes, the regime has imposed a total digital blackout—shutting down the internet and phone networks across the country—cutting off all communication between Iran and the outside world, and leaving the true depth of the atrocities unknown. Despite this, the Iranian people remain united, calling collectively for Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and demanding an end to the regime’s occupation. Artists and musicians across Iran and the diaspora stand in solidarity with the people; among them, the Iranian Thrash Metal band TarantisT, which continues to release protest music and material in support of the movement. Their latest release, "Freedom", incorporates real footage from the current events in Iran, merged with digital technology, amplifying the voices of a nation silenced but unbroken. Relentless and prolific, TarantisT will be releasing a new single next week titled “Mission: Bloody Day”. Stay tuned! Formed in 2000 by a group of young underground metal heads, TarantisT originated in the basement alternative rock and heavy metal scenes in their native Tehran, Iran. Having to perform secretly but loudly often proved to be difficult, but after sparking a following via word of mouth in the underground, the band soon began to garner international recognition. Within just a few years, international media correspondents inspired by their story (including BBC, SKY, CNN, NPR, Metal Hammer and Kerrang) started visiting Tehran to meet and talk with TarantisT. These news reports and articles aided TarantisT in cultivating a worldwide following – motivating the band to relocate to the United States Los Angeles in 2008. Iranian metal band TarantisT have been active with their social-political content and music during all these years, dropping tracks like “Revolution” in 2022. “This is not a protest, this is a Revolution”. TarantisT continues to march towards this Revolution with all Iranians seeking freedom and liberty for their country with the main slogan of “Women, Life, Freedom”. Instagram, TikTok and some other social medias have put limitation and restrictions to TarantisT’s accounts due to posting images and footages of the protest, violence of the Islamic Republic authorities and due to the use of social-political hashtags. Since their inception, TarantisT has been invited to play several festivals like SXSW, CMJ, Canadian Music Week and Intergalactic Fest. TarantisT quickly added to their touring repertoire, performing on the same stages as Metallica, Motörhead, Stone Temple Pilots, Muse, Cheap Trick, Voivod, Sum 41, My Ruin, Ben Harper and many more. They have now brought all the songs that comprised these EPs together, with an additional unreleased instrumental track, into one full length album - "Darkest Light". Darkest Light will be launched with a special show at Dürer Kert in Budapest on January 31st and the band have unveiled a video for the album's stunning title track, which you can see now at the Meteora YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCCrBla8V6E A remarkable song which opened the Dissonance EP, 'Darkest Light' features the talents of Sirenia guitarist Nils Courbaron. Speaking about the video Meteora have said... "Shot at a theatre stage in Budapest, showcasing the amazing talent of Edina Molnár and Fábián Lugosi, dancers of the video who captured the convoluted feelings of the lyrics with their choreography, beautifully filmed and edited by Kill Monday Management this video is so much more than we ever hoped for! And of course the highlight is the guest appearance of Nils Courbaron, shred-master of Sirenia, Bloodorn and Dropdead Chaos." Releasing a trilogy of EPs and then a full length album has been an incredible journey for Meteora, as the band have explained in a recent statement... "We are really excited that we got to the finish line of our half year long EP releasing spree that started with In this Silence in the summer, went on to Broken Mind in the fall, and now concludes with Dissonance. Darkest Light is the culmination of these three with an additional instrumental track to set you in the mood for the title track. The new record is set to be released on March 13th, 2026 via Pure Noise Records, marking the band’s first full-length since their 2023 debut Ferality. Fans can watch the band’s new music video “Enjoy Tha Show” and pre-order the album now at https://purenoiserecs.lnk.to/UnityTX. “‘Enjoy Tha Show’ was crafted to provoke thought on the narratives we embrace as humans, sharing our experiences to foster connection. After much reflection, I aimed to create something that resonated with my audience and mirrored my struggles. Seeking comfort among those who don’t understand the pain of feeling ethnically out of place can be daunting,” frontman Jay Webster (aka Shaolin G). He continues: “At times, the words of strangers would sting so deeply that I’d share them with others. It felt like a natural reaction, yet my friends urged me to rise above it. Ignoring it was harder than I thought, as I was expected to just perform and push through the noise. So, I shifted my approach to simply enjoying the experience." “Unknowingly, I built my life around catering to critics, only to realize that the audience often reacts negatively when you stray from their expectations. This goes beyond music; our society often limits opportunities for those daring to be themselves. It’s frustrating, and I accept that it’s a tragic reality. My identity is shaped by my experiences and environment, and that cannot be changed. Where do we draw the line between empathy and judgment?” Unitytx have always been ahead of the curve. Leaders rather than followers, the Dallas-based band have been breaking the mold since their inception in 2014 with a ferocious fusion of metal and hip-hop, along with some added electronic flourishes and hints of other genres too. Yet new album Somewhere, In Between is largely inspired by the band feeling that, despite always paving the way, they’ve not been given all the props they deserve. The result of that frustration is a record that—across 14 caustic, cathartic songs—oozes with both discontent and determination. It’s a (self-)motivating rallying cry to break free from where they feel they are to somewhere else, idealistically and musically, while also staying true to themselves and their original intentions as a band. As such, it also serves as a reaction to the compromises Webster feels the band have made since they started doing it in a professional capacity. “When we got into the industry,” says frontman Jay Webster (aka Shaolin G), “we had to start playing by the industry rules and not so much by the rules that I had set for us. I was trying my hardest to stick to my code, but it felt like it wasn't ever going to work. This album is what Unitytx used to be before we got picked up. It's letting go of all the tension that made us feel like we couldn't do anything in this space and trying to push past that and reach—not our maximum potential—but start to see where else this can go. We’re trying to evolve both as a band and as people.” Unitytx will be on tour this spring, supporting Varials on a full US run. The month long tour kicks off on March 12 in Detroit, with stops to follow in Chicago, Denver, Anaheim, Dallas, Atlanta, Baltimore, Brooklyn, and more. Finnish Blackened Death metallers Saasta's new single The Leeches is a grittily realistic depiction of present-day and past societies, in which the world’s small, blood-sucking elite disguised as sirs and lords - rip everything from the common person, down to their very hope and health. The story can be seen as the complete failure of a beautiful future utopia. A human being works throughout their life only to be drained dry and thrown into a pit once they are no longer considered productive enough by the ruling elite. In the end, does a civilized society differ at all from livestock farming? Musically, the track combines black and death metal in Saasta’s characteristic way, with death metal’s brute force ensuring that the black metal message reaches the listener’s deepest core. The single’s cover art and the music video were created with a raw DIY spirit by Saasta.
