Croatian Heavy / Power metal band Sage inks a worldwide deal with Rockshots Records!

Hailing from Croatia, the rising stars Sage have just signed a worldwide record deal with Rockshots Records for the release of their debut album "Anno Domini 1573" !

The album is about the Peasants’ Revolt, a metaphor of the battle between good and evil, honesty and greed. Sage delivers a mix of heavy, power and progressive metal, even though is hard to define it specifically due to the band’s unique style.

"The band name Sage means both the plant and flower sage and 'a wise old man'", comments Enio Vučeta, guitarist and backup singer of the band, a living legend of the Croatian rock/metal scene, "We wanted to connect this to ourselves in a way because we are composed of several generations of Croatian musicians and we have great ambitions for our music to make a breakthrough in the whole world."

Croatia's Speedclaw stream new mini-album via "Legacy" magazine

Speed metal cult Speedclaw stream the entirety of their highly anticipated new mini-album, Beast in the Mist, at Legacy magazine's website. Set for international release on April 20th via Shadow Kingdom Records, hear Speedclaw's Beast in the Mist in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Following hot on the heels of their debut EP, Iron Speed - which Shadow Kingdom released on cassette to widespread critical acclaim earlier in 2017 - now Speedclaw strike while the iron's white hot with Beast in the Mist! Taking all the electricity and excitement of that debut short-length, this new short-length sees this Croatian force of nature increasing their power and professionalism in equal, no-less-devastating measures. Just like that first record, Speedclaw still embody all the energy of the early '80s, when the NWOBHM was in full steam and speed metal was in its early days, and take their hooks and heaviness even higher into the night.

Here, no doubt bolstered by the rich 'n' robust production, these four maniacs more patiently ply their bolder and more epic songwriting whilst not losing an ounce of engaging immediacy; if anything, they're going even harder and faster for the throat. Then again, Beast in the Mist plays out its drama in a darker manner, letting Speedclaw dig their nails in deeply and differently than Iron Speed. But make no mistake: Speedclaw are their own masters, and totally heavy metal to the bone! Beware the Beast in the Mist!

The sophomore album from Croatian death-punk duo HerezA is out now via Godz ov War Productions. Aptly named, I Become Death is streaming now in its entirety over at No Clean Singing, who call it “one turbocharged neck-breaker after another”.

HerezA formed in July 2014. Their debut album, Misanthrope, was released in February 2015 by PRC Music. Their new album I Become Death, which is set for release in February 2017, will continue and improve the “chunky, HM-2 overdriven, and loud” (Angry Metal Guy review) sound of Misanthrope. I Become Death was recorded in "Brvnara" homemade studio by Denis Sloboda. It was mixed and mastered by Mario Markovic, Crna Zemlja Recording Studio. The stunning album artwork was done by Maciej Kamuda.

Croatian death metal punk duo, HerezA, have signed to Godz ov War Productions for the release of their sophomore album entitled I Become Death. The upcoming full-length is a slab of Swedish death metal in vein of Entombed or Dismember with a punk attitude.

Croatian mavericks of the trance-like black craft are back with the reminder of what have become the cornerstone of their discography and easily one of the most unique extreme releases of the 2010s. Watch out for the re-release of their seminal second album on Arachnophobia Records.

With two EP releases, and three full-length albums that wiped the boundaries of the black metal genre and brought the band to a firm and clear position at the crossroads of avant-garde, psychedelia, primitive trance-inducing blackness, and a modern approach devoid of limitations under their belts, Pogavranjen, Croatia’s by far most prominent black metal band, are about to remind their audience about their second titanic escapade.

On “Sebi Jesi Meni Nisi”, the trademark sound of the band evolved into something truly terrifying. Its re-release will see the light of day and dead of night this fall.

Veterans of Croatian extreme music use primordial negativity and blackness of bleak modern existence to painfully stomp a 42 minute long march through wastelands of rancid psyche fuelled by complete lack of hope. Through disgust and bewildering bestiality, Pogavranjen present the dawn of a new era of originality by painting the blackest of landscapes.

While being endlessly negative, ugly and malevolent, “Sebi Jesi Meni Nisi” strikes with its progressive and meditative elements. It is an album which emanates a macabre deathly glow, as well as ambitious freshness. Its visionary construction and virtuoso musicianship echo through the avant-garde black metal underground.

Death metal legends Obituary have announced Ten Thousand Ways To Die, a special two-song single containing a pair of brand new studio tracks plus a bonus live set of twelve classics and fan favourites from the band's storied catalogue. Recorded in eleven different cities during the band's highly successful 2015 Inked In Blood world tour, the live tracks capture the incredible performances of a band that has stood atop the death metal pantheon for almost 30 years. Ten Thousand Ways To Die is sure to satisfy new and die-hard Obituary fans and will quench the blood-thirst of listeners until the band's new album drops in Spring 2017.

"We are very excited about the live songs that we recorded on this last US Tour. Joe Cincotta from Full Force Studio is also our live sound engineer and he had his full recording rig on the road with us so we took advantage of the opportunity and recorded the show every night. The quality was amazing so we decided to include this as part of the Ten Thousand Ways to Die release to give the fans a little Ob bonus! We selected songs from different cities so you will hear the sound difference between each song. Nothing was done to the songs after the live performance recording so it gives you the real, true, unedited "live show" sound and feeling that the fans experienced at each show."
