"Fatigue" is planned to be released via Dark Wings (who already released the album's predecessor "Colder") October 14th, 2016. LIFE'S DECEMBER on Facebook Dark Wings on Facebook 'Beast', the new album from Montreal based deathcore pioneers, Despised Icon, was released yesterday via Nuclear Blast Records! To coincide with the band's first release since 2009's 'Day Of Mourning', Despised Icon have released a full band performance of the track 'Inner Demons'. 'Beast' was produced and engineered by former guitarist Yannick St-Amand (Beneath The Massacre, Neuraxis) and mixed / mastered by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Opeth, Nevermore). Artwork was created by Alexandre Goulet. For many extreme music fans, it may be hard to remember a time before DESPISED ICON, given the massive influence they’ve subsequently had on the genre. But when the group formed back in 2002 and released 'Consumed by Your Poison' the same year, there was little intersection between the sounds of classic death metal and the brute force of hardcore. But DESPISED ICON were among the first to fully embrace the signatures of the traditional death metal formula combined with a relentless embrace of breakdowns, part of an emerging new sound. Now DESPISED ICON have returned with their upcoming album entitled 'Beast'. The genre-defining band is fully reawakened, poised to recapture the crown with the monstrous and merciless might of their potent expression. Featuring the men responsible for most of the band’s now classic death metal catalogue, 'Beast' is a vicious commentary on the state of the world and the state of music itself. To view this music video, check out HERE. The song is from the band's recently announced upcoming new album The Cartesian which will be released September 30th, 2016 via Famined Records. Formed in 2011 by guitarist Shane Griffin, The World to Come is a band formed around the creative idea of exploring the music aesthetic. Creating a sense of ambiance and emotion to accompany the overall ideal of any deathcore band. Starting off amidst the plethora of hardcore music talent within the Phoenix metro area, The World To Come eventually morphed into its own entity. Taking each members unique love for atmospheric music and creating a new blend of heavy hitting, and thought provoking progressive metal. https://www.facebook.com/theworldtocome/ https://twitter.com/TWTCmusic http://www.faminedrecords.com/ https://www.facebook.com/FaminedRecords https://twitter.com/faminedrecords The Browning could very well be heavy music's answer to the Terminator. Whereas everybody's favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger cyborg hid an exoskeleton under a sheath of skin, the Kansas City quartet—Jonny [vocals, electronics], Cody [drums], Brian [guitar], and Rick [bass]— thinly veil a hard rock edge beneath a casing of skittering electronic dance music, hip-hop grime, metallic brutality, and industrial expanse. That signature style is "back" in a big way on "Isolation", their third full-length album and first for Spinefarm Records. "Isolation" arrives on June 24 and it's The Browning's most ambitious offering to date. "Over the course of the last three years, rock music is primarily all I've listened to,” Jonny explains. "I've been ingesting bands like Rammstein, Disturbed, and Three Days Grace. My writing swung towards that. I knew this album was going to have more of a rock vibe. Obviously, there's still metal, but the scope has expanded. The electronics remain a big part of it. Since day one, the whole point was to not only be the heaviest electronic band, but the band with by far the most electronics." He furthered, "Isolation is by far the best album The Browning has done yet. It has everything I wanted in it and nothing is missing. It shows how the band has progressed and matured since our last release. So I cannot wait for the world to hear it." The first track "Pure Evil" is available with pre-orders.

CA based metal outfit Carnifex, will release their new album entitled "Slow Death" on August 5 via Nuclear Blast Records. The record was produced and recorded by Carnifex and Mick Kenney (Anaal Nathrakh, Bleeding Through), and co-produced by Jason Suecof (Death Angel, Chelsea Grin, etc. "Slow Death" was mixed by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, etc) at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. Cover art for the album was created by renowned artist and longtime collaborator, Godmachine. Check out a quick teaser of music and the album artwork here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVqreR8VXwQ "Album number six, over 10 years as a band and we have more fire and passion than ever," comments vocalist Scott Ian Lewis. "This album will reshape our genre and be looked back on as an album that started a new movement for aggressive, dark metal. We're going to show those who love us and those who hate us just how far reaching our ambition is." You'll hear sounds of our older slammin' death metal days blended with the speed and technicality of our latest records. Cheers to everyone that has stood by us after all these years. Can't wait to unleash the Beast." Nuclear Blast’s head of retail Roy Culver added: "I signed Despised Icon to Century Media back in 2004 after hearing their debut record ‘Consumed By Your Poison’. The band perfected the mix of ferocious, technical death metal with a modern take on hardcore and their first record for the label, ‘The Healing Process’, broadened the minds of a whole new generation of metal heads. I love these guys and couldn’t be happier to be working with them again here at Nuclear Blast. The Icon is back!" Check out the album teaser for ‘Beast’ here. The six-song EP from the Russian-meets-British band is the Sumerian Records’ debut for the deathcore band. The Circle Pit dubbed the EP, “earth cracking music,” adding it “pushes boundaries of heaviness.” Slaughter to Prevail have also released a play through video for the song “As The Vultures Circle” which can be watched above. www.facebook.com/slaughtertoprevailrus After The Burial, the Minneapolis outfit who have “garnered a reputation from their techy, eight-stringed, djent riff wizardry” (Rock Sound), share new song, “Collapse” (watch the above) from the band’s forthcoming album, "Dig Deep" (Feb. 19, Sumerian Records). “When you think you don’t have anything left in you, you have to rely on that inner strength,” says guitar player Trent Hafdahl. “That’s where we are as a band. So many things beyond our control went wrong, but we started to dig deep as brothers.” “We went through hell to finish this record, and the music translates that,” singer Anthony Notarmaso agrees. “Trent worked his ass off, and it shows. It’s crazy because I think it brought us closer as band. Justin wrote some riffs that ended up on the, but after a couple of days in the studio he left. He obviously wasn’t okay, and we wanted him to get well. I arrived a few days after the guys had gotten there. I never got to see him.” Notarmaso is referring to the untimely death of the band mate Justin Lowe in July. Pre-orders for the nine-song album are available now with instant downloads of “Lost in the Static” (https://youtu.be/hUNAX1UYeAE) and “Collapse” available with digital downloads via iTunes (http://smarturl.it/DigDeep-iTunes) and Google Play (http://smarturl.it/DigDeep-GooglePlay). Physical bundles are available via Sumerian Records (http://sumerianmerch.com). "Dig Deep" was recorded at Graphic Nature Audio in New Jersey with producer Will Putney (The Amity Affliction, Upon A Burning Body). The album is the first where the band partnered with a producer. “We had not tried it before,” explains Hafdahl. “It felt like a fresh idea to do something new. We were still running the show obviously, but he brought a good ear for tone and melody. He encouraged us to explore more. To have that perspective was helpful.” After The Burial join label mates Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, Bad Omens and ERRA for Sumerian Records’ 10 Year Tour: February 19 Minneapolis, MN Skyway Theatre February 20 Chicago, IL The Bottom Lounge February 21 Millvale, PA Mr. Small’s Theatre February 22 Indianapolis, IN The Emerson Theater February 23 Pontiac, MI The Crofoot Ballroom February 24 Cleveland, OH Agora Theatre February 25 Philadelphia, PA Union Transfer February 26 Worcester, MA The Palladium February 27 New York, NY The Gramercy Theatre February 28 Baltimore, MD Baltimore Sound Stage February 29 Greensboro, NC Greene Street Club March 2 Tampa, FL The Orpheum March 4 San Antonio, TX Korova March 5 Houston, TX Walters Downtown March 6 Austin, TX Dirty Dog Bar March 7 El Paso, TX Tricky Falls March 8 Mesa, AZ Nile Theater March 9 Hollywood, CA The Roxy Theatre March 10 Sacramento, CA Ace of Spades March 11 Fresno, CA Strummer’s (w/Veil of Maya only) March 12 San Diego, CA Soma March 13 Pomona, CA The Glasshouse March 14 Las Vegas, NV Eagle Aerie Hall (headlining date) March 15 Albuquerque, NM Sunshine Theatre (w/Born of Osiris only) March 16 Denver, CO The Summit Music Hall March 17 Lawrence, KS Granada Theater March 18 St. Louis, MO Fubar Tickets are available via http://sumerian10year.com. www.facebook.com/aftertheburial www.aftertheburial.net www.twitter.com/aftertheburial www.instagram.com/aftertheburial |
