Denmark's Forever Still are working on new material; announced to play Bloodstock main stage5/7/2017 After their extensive tour with Children Of Bodom, the young rockers from Forever Still caught their breath and dedicated their time to the writing of several new songs. Just like they already did for their debut, singer Maja Shining and multi-instrumentalist Mikkel Haastrup once again work closely together for the songwriting process to create the successor of 'Tied Down', which was recently nominated for 'best debut' at the German Metal Hammer Awards - the ceremony will take place on September 15th in Berlin! Their second full-length release will drop in early 2018 and promises to stir up the heavy rock scene once more. But before entering the studio, Forever Still conquer the festival stages again and today, they are happy to announce that they will play the main-stage on UK's biggest independent metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air! The band comments: "We’re looking so much forward to playing the festival! We’ve all been hoping to play Bloodstock one day and we’re beyond excited to open the main stage this year; and what better occasion to premiere a track from our upcoming album?" Misantropologi marks the band's fourth - and most devastating - full-length to date. Following the album's release,Undergang will invade the U.S. for the month-long 'Make America Death Again' tour with California's Necrot (dates listed below). For a taste of the blood to spill, Decibel Magazine has posted the premiere of album track "Skåret I Småstykker." The song is now playing HERE. Dark Descent Records will release Misantropologi June 23 on CD and digital formats. The vinyl edition will come via Me Saco Un Ojo Records. Pre-order the album now at darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com Filthy. Disgusting. Heavy-as-fuck. Downtuned. Rotten. Foul stench. These are just some of the words Undergang have been associated with since their debut album back in 2010. Undergang's new album Misantropologi isn't just cementing those assessments but actually adds to it groove and even more filth. Recorded last year at Earhammer studios in Oakland (with Greg Wilkinson who recorded their previous album) immediately after their month-long US tour with label mates Spectral Voice, Misantropologi represents the first recording with their newest member Sam Osborne from Funebrarum. These sewer-bred bastards fourth full-length is once again the antithesis of all of those who wish to bring death metal back to the sunlight. With vocals reaching insane low-depths unheard since the glorious days of the early Finnish scene (no wonder the last track is subtitled 'Tribute to Disgrace'!) that reek of putrefaction à la early Carcass lyrics still in their native Danish, sludgy and primitive riffs and to-the-point songs, this is as dark and brutish as it can be. Nearly 30 minutes of audio horror once again mixed and mastered by Cruciamentum's Dan Lowndes. After the 2013 demo "The Crackling of Embers", Danish atmospheric black metallers SUNKEN are ready to take the world by storm with their debut full-length "Departure", an album where the band showcases once again their potency and songwriting skills, promising to cause an impact and lasting atmosphere. "Departure" is set to be released on May 26th, 2017 via Triton's Orbit (home of Vinterbris, Akasava and Riti Occulti). Cover artwork and tracklisting as follows: The band comments: "Our debut album has been long underway. 'Departure' shows a more matured, unique and experimental Sunken, with a more honest approach to songwriting, sound and expression. The writing of the album has been a long journey, with new and interesting sources of inspiration and contributions from many different musicians. All of this made the album what it is today. We're finally ready for our Departure." https://www.facebook.com/SunkenDenmark The UK metal scene is filled with a lot of talented bands, and we are so very lucky to add Repulsive Vision to the growing Mighty Music family! Matt Davidson: "Repulsive Vision are beyond thrilled to be working with Mighty Music and proud to be a part of their roster. Their support and understanding so far has been an amazing help to us and we are eager to bring our plans to fruition with this union". “Look Past the Gore and See The Art” A mantra that embodies the very soul of UK Death metal band, Repulsive Vision. The battle cry of anti censorship and open mindedness that influences the very meaning of the band itself. Heavily inspired by video nasties and their controversial history, this vicious four piece is a relentless assault of punk fueled old school death metal in the vein of Obituary, Carcass, Napalm Death and Entombed. Formed in 2010, Repulsive Vision has evolved over the years, eventually maintaining a strong current line-up consisting of Dan McEwan (Vocals), Mark Kirby (Bass), Gary Young (Drums) and Matt Davidson (Guitars). Recorded in the depths of Newcastle at First Avenue Studios and mixed/mastered by Dean Thompson, “Look Past the Gore and See the Art” is a work built on frustration and old school inspirations to bring an honest and unstoppable piece of grinding death metal. The long awaited debut album “Look Past The Gore and See The Art” shall be released in stores and on all digital platforms from the 31st of March 2017. https://www.facebook.com/RepulsiveVision/ https://www.reverbnation.com/repulsivevision Amaranthe will kick off their first North American headline tour in support of their latest album Maximalism on February 10 in Houston, with support from Failure Anthem, Citizen Zero, Cypher 16, and Smash Into Pieces. The trek snakes through the U.S. and Canada, wrapping on March 11 in Reading, Pennsylvania. To herald the fact that they will be crashing the U.S. shores once again, the band has released the new video for "Boomerang." Watch it HERE. Guitarist Olof Morck says "It is finally time to release our brand new video for 'Boomerang', an Amaranthe take on the classic heist movie! Directed by the legendary Patric Ulleaus, it is everything you have come to expect of an Amaranthe video and much more! Perhaps the most ambitious video from the band so far, it is packed to the brim with action, glitter and glamour - you can try to bring us down, but we'll come around, like a Boomerang!" In other Amaranthe news, singer Jake E. has confirmed his exit from the band. Below is his statement on the matter. "After eight years and four albums, I have decided to leave Amaranthe. I am extremely proud of the band and what we've accomplished together. "Amaranthe have the most AMAZING fans and they have given me so much during the years, which I am extremely grateful for. I want to thank them all for always supporting me during the highs and the lows - without YOU we would be NOTHING. "Thank you for these years and I hope to meet you again soon!" -JAKE E www.jakee.se AMARANTHE ON TOUR With Failure Anthem, Cypher 16 and Smash Into Pieces: 2/10: Houston, TX @ Scout Bar 2/11: Dallas, TX @ Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill 2/12: San Antonio, TX @ Paper Tiger 2/14: Englewood, CO @ Gothic Theatre 2/15: Salt Lake City, UT @ In the Venue 2/16: Tempe, AZ @ The Marquee 2/18: Las Vegas, NV @ Vinyl 2/19: San Francisco, CA @ Social Hall SF 2/20: Los Angeles, CA @ The Belasco Theater 2/22: Seattle, WA @ Studio Seven 2/23: Spokane, WA @ Knitting Factory 2/24: Boise, ID @ Knitting Factory 2/26: Calgary, AB @ Marquee Beer Market & Stage 2/27: Edmonton, AB @ Starlite Room 3/1: Minneapolis, MN @ Cabooze 3/2: Arlington Heights, IL @ Home Bar 3/3: Ft.
