Finnish Cello Metal veterans Apocalyptica release brand new video for 'En Route To Mayhem'18/12/2019 Finland’s multi-Platinum cello-rock band Apocalyptica have released the video for ‘En Route To Mayhem’, which will transport the viewer to a fantastical post-humanity future. This imaginary world is barren, dusty, and littered with broken pieces of things once considered essential to humankind such as bits of plastic, a teddy bear, crumbling structures, cell phones and computers, bleached bones, and long-forgotten musical instruments. The setting is devoid of mankind, but brimming with the hope of new life; and then one day, thunder, lightning, and one drop at a time, it begins to rain, and Mother Nature steps in. Check out the ‘En Route To Mayhem’ video HERE. Apocalyptica’s Eicca Toppinen comments:- “‘En Route To Mayhem’ is a journey of hedonic needs growing into greed and aggression, driving into inner mayhem and ending without satisfaction. This video underlines the fact that however we think we are in control by destroying things and life around us, life itself will take over in the end, always. We are not in control of the bigger picture, and we should be aware of it and raise our respect to life around us.” The ‘En Route To Mayhem’ video is in support of Apocalyptica’s upcoming album, Cell-0, due out January 10th, 2020 via Silver Lining Music. Produced by Apocalyptica – cellists Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, and Paavo Lötjönen, and drummer Mikko Sirén and mixed by Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Metallica and Black Sabbath), and recorded at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki. The recording of Cell-0 followed a four-year break between albums that gave the band a fresh perspective and affected the way they approached the new music. Cell-0 is the quartet's first instrumental album in 17 years and found the musicians challenging themselves to discover new flavours and colours in their respective instruments. For Cell-0 pre-order options, go to this location. Perttu Kivilaakso comments:- “Cell-0 has a concept which is to challenge the listeners to question themselves and ask “Am I doing the best I can for the environment, for other beings? Is there still something I can change?” To highlight environmental issues, the band wanted to ask fans to do something for our planet; so to coincide with the release of the new video, they have launched a very special competition, which will give fans the chance to win the opportunity for Apocalyptica to play in their living room. To enter, fans will need to show the band how they are making the planet a healthier place for everyone. Fans can head to their Facebook page and comment with photos/videos showing what they are doing to help the planet and telling the band why they should be picked as a winner. To find out more information, head to the band’s Facebook page. The online contest is open to all European fans from now and will close at 7:00 pm CET Friday, January 10th, 2020. Full terms and conditions can be found here. In concert, Apocalyptica are known for their moving live performances and will kick off the New Year as Special Guests on Sabaton's 15-country, 23-date European arena tour that begins on January 17, 2020 in Zurich, Switzerland. With a set list that will likely vary night to night, Apocalyptica's performances will be comprised of new songs from Cell-0 as well as from the band's rich catalogue. In preparation, the band have released a new single called 'Under The Scalpel Blade' on streaming services today! The track is the band’s first new song in 6 years. 'Under The Scalpel Blade' was recorded during sessions for their upcoming 7th studio album that’s due out in 2020. Jeff Walker about the single: "It’s always difficult trying to decide what new song to expose people to, especially given an absence of nearly seven years???? With that in mind here’s a slow throw away number we cobbled together, and NO the title was NOT plagiarized from the DISORDER album of the same title before you ask!" Stream 'Under The Scalpel Blade': nuclearblast.com/carcass-scalpel Carcass’ new single 'Under The Scalpel Blade' is a taste of what’s to come from the band’s long-awaited 7th full-length album. It follows the release of several classic albums over the years, including Heartwork and Necroticism – Descanting the Insalubrious, and their influence has changed the face of extreme metal with every consecutive release. Whether it was inventing gore-grind (i.e. Reek of Putrefaction, Symphonies of Sickness) or creating the template for melodic death metal (i.e. Heartwork), Carcass have always made records by which bars were set and rules were broken. Upon the band’s dismantling in 1996, fans mourned the loss of the seminal act and longed that the group would return again one day. In 2007, the metal world got its wish as Carcass reformed to play several sold-out reunion shows around the globe. Once again re-motivated to administer a shot of cynicism and infectious riffs into the arm of a sickly metal scene, founding members Bill Steer and Jeff Walker recorded the next chapter of their influential career, 2013’s Surgical Steel. Following the critically acclaimed release, the band toured the world extensively, including recent performances with Slayer on their final world tour. Now the band that broke barriers 25 years ago has returned to the studio to tear them all down again with their 7th record, which will undoubtedly be one of next year’s most anticipated heavy metal albums. Multi-platinum quintet Bring Me The Horizon have received a GRAMMY award® nomination in the Best Rock Album category for their latest album amo, out now on RCA. This marks the band’s second nod from The Recording Academy following their Best Rock Song nomination last year for “MANTRA,” the lead single from the album. The news comes on the heels of Bring Me The Horizon’s U.S. headlining “Threesome Tour” and brand new track “Ludens” which they contributed to Timefall, an album of new music inspired by the highly anticipated “Death Stranding” video game available on PlayStation 4. Bring Me The Horizon is one of the most electrifying and successful rock bands to emerge from the UK. amo, was released earlier this year and was named as “one of the most anticipated albums of 2019” by Billboard and described by NME as “bold, brilliant and boundary-pushing.” “MANTRA,” was a Top 5 hit at Rock Radio and earned the multi-platinum-selling act its first-ever GRAMMY award® nomination for Best Rock Song. Bring Me The Horizon has spent 2019 touring the world in support of the critically acclaimed amo. The group has sold over 4 million albums globally to date, played sold-out shows in over 40 countries, including a sold out night at the Forum in Los Angeles and two sold out nights at London’s O2, wowed a traditionally non-rock crowd at Glastonbury Festival in 2016 and 2019 and stole the show at high profile festivals across Europe all summer. Bring Me The Horizon is vocalist Oli Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Mat Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish. https://www.bmthofficial.com/ Bring Me The Horizon continue their assault on 2019 with the release of a new track entitled ‘Ludens’ from the highly anticipated "Death Stranding" Soundtrack (original music from the world of Death Stranding: Timefall). These recent releases (Ludens and in the dark) showcase Bring Me The Horizon at their best and help to confirm their status as one of the most important British rock bands in the world. The soundtrack features original music inspired by the upcoming PlayStation 4 (PS4™) video game. Last month it was announced that RCA Records had partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment (“SIE”) to release the soundtrack which is out today and available here. ‘Ludens’ follows previously released tracks ‘Trigger’ by Major Lazer & Khalid, ‘Ghost’ by Au/Ra x Alan Walker, ‘Yellow Box’ by The Neighbourhood and ‘Death Stranding’ by Chvrches. Oli says of the track:- “Death Stranding is a game I’ve been waiting for long before collaborating with them was on the table. Kojima-san is one of the few people I would call a hero to me, so making a track for his first game since Konami was equal parts daunting, stressful & exciting… the whole thing felt surreal, and not right... to be honest I didn’t see where a Bring Me The Horizon song was going to fit into an art house AAA game but I was stupid to try and pigeonhole Kojima’s style!” From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying experience for PlayStation®4 system. Sam Bridges must brave a world transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a mission to reunite the shattered world. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and humanity on the verge of a mass extinction, it’s up to Sam to journey across the ravaged continent and save mankind from impending annihilation. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? An unprecedented gameplay experience holds these answers and more.Starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner. We started playing some of the songs live on recent tours and got a fantastic reaction from our fans so we are really excited to be sharing this album with the world. We’re also looking forward to heading out on the road again and seeing everyone at the shows.” The Burning is a follow-up to British Lion’s 2012’s eponymous debut album, Steve’s first ever musical venture outside of Iron Maiden which was pronounced both “brilliant” and “a big hearted ferocious triumph” by the music press. The band have since been tirelessly honing their live show performances with club tours every year and festival dates whenever time allows, building and establishing a firm and dedicated fan-base, reaching 24 countries across the globe so far, with plans to visit many more in the future including a short UK club tour in December on the following dates. Support at all shows will be Voodoo Six and Nine Miles Down. English Hard Rock / Heavy Metallers Collateral release music video for new single 'Mr. Big Shot'31/10/2019 English Hard Rock / Heavy Metal crew Collateral have released a music video for their new single “Mr. Big Shot” from their forthcoming debut full-length album, which will be available on February 21, 2020 via Roulette Media Records / Cargo Records UK. The video can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/O67NZRS0zck The exciting and flamboyant rock and roll band are comprised of Angelo Tristan (lead vocals, guitar), Todd Winger (guitar), Jack Bentley-Smith (bass) and Ben Atkinson (drums). Collateral have been busy in the studio since after the release of the ‘4 Shots!’ EP, Collateral worked relentlessly to keep the momentum going. They won a Camden Rocks Festival competition out of 20,000 bands to play the main stage at the Electric Ballroom on June 1, 2019. A few months later, they won a competition between 40 bands at the Ramblin’ Man Rumble to play the Rising Stage at the Ramblin’ Man Fair festival 2019. The band drew the biggest crowd when they played the Rising Stage at Ramblin’ Man. One of their most exciting achievements for Collateral in 2019, was when they won a competition out of 200,000 entrants to support Jon Bon Jovi on his Runaway to Paradise Mediterranean Cruise departing Barcelona to Majorca on August 26th. Now, Collateral’s hotly tipped debut album is likely to propel them next level. A lot of people don’t know what to expect from the new album, as the band have been tight-lipped about the new songs. Collateral have created a state-of-the-art rock album that will enable fans to feel the blood, sweat and glory that went into the recording of every song. Front man Angelo Tristan comments:- “We wanted to stay away from the normal rules that apply to what you can and cannot put on an album. The album contains all of our inspirations, and nothing’s has been diluted. I’m very influenced by country music which is evident in the song “About This Boy”. Jack is heavily influenced by 80’s rock on tracks like “Mr Big Shot” and “Promiseland”. One of the more Southern style tracks on the album is “Merry-Go-Round.” It’s a reflection of Todd’s inspiration from bands that include Black Stone Cherry and Cadillac Three. Our drummer, Ben, comes from a far heavier metal background which really gives the songs their powerful edge. The album is comprised of nine songs – all killer and no filler. The recording of this album was an amazing experience from the get-go. To finally see this record come to life was remarkable. I hope the fans will share the same excitement we had when we made the album. Buckle up. We’re in for one helluva ride!” www.facebook.com/collateralrocks www.collateralofficial.com Kaine has released their new album Reforge The Steel today via Bandcamp. Written, directed and edited by the band’s frontman Oliver Sykes, the visual stars Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe winning actor Forest Whitaker and sees him undergo Matrix-like brain mapping. Co-directed and produced by videographer Brian Cox, Oli comments:- "’In The Dark’ is my first ‘official’ directing effort. We were in the midst of planning to shoot the video with a director in LA, 3 days before the shoot I got a call from Forest saying he was in London and available, so ignoring everyone who said it was impossible to make it happen in time, I called our videographer Brian and asked him if he wanted to help me direct a video. 2 days later we were shooting in London! It was a crazy, emotional few days and I was very lucky to bag an insanely talented crew to assist me.” The band is currently touring in support of their number one album, 'Amo' (RCA), which exploded on both sides of the pond.
