Hungarian female fronted metallers Ann My Guard have signed a record deal with German based label Rock'N'Growl Records. The band's forthcoming second album 'Ourania' to be released worldwide as CD and digital on January 13, 2017. Singer Eszter Anna Baumann says: "It's a great honour to be a part of Rock'N'Growl Records. Our album couldn't be in better hands than Axel's. I've been following his company/label for many years and I know that he's very professional in managing and promoting his bands. I am sure that our collaboration will help Ann my Guard to reach more fans internationally. This is a huge step for the band and we are really excited about the future." Axel of Rock'N'Growl adds: "We are proud to welcome Ann My Guard to the Rock'N'Growl family! This band is really dedicated and hard working. That's what it makes to get them on our roster." About Ourania: "I wanted to make a record that fully represents what Ann my Guard is: I really like mixing the ethereal feminine vocals with heavy guitar riffs and dark melodies. I like contrasts. Moreover, I love to use mythical metaphors: while on the debut record, Innocence Descent I used the Moon representing the maturing of a woman, by Ourania I expressed more universal themes. As the lyrics of Asteria say: I just want to elevate you, underneath my starlit sky, I'll be set free... The aim of rock music for me is to elevate the listeners into another dimensions, not to pull them down. I think that's what we all need from music nowadays, right?" The album was produced by Gabor Vari, at Black Hole Sound Studio. Ann My Guard is: Eszter Anna Baumann (vocals, bass) Krisztián Varga (guitars) Benjamin Bárkányi (guitars) Norbert Tobola (drums) Ann My Guard was formed in 2007 by singer-bassist Eszter Anna Baumann. Their first EP, Cinderella’s syndrome was released in 2010. The second song from the EP, ‘Gone’, was featured on an US promotional sampler ‘Kill City series‘. Their popularity in Hungary was fast grown by the broadcasting of a report within the Hungarian X Factor, in which Ann My Guard‘s lead singer Anna had been invited to introduce the band. In the summer of 2011 they recorded their second EP: Doll Metal with rock producer Zoltan Varga at Supersize Recordings. Ann My Guard‘s first album Innocence Descent was released in April 2014 produced by Gabor Vari at Black Hole Sound. Beginning 2015 they started to work with UK-based indie label Shamanize Records. After additional mixing by Dark Moon Audio in the UK the album got mastered by Pete Maher for Shamanize Records. Ann my Guard was touring almost two months in Europe promoting the debut album. The second album entitled Ourania will be out due on January 13, 2017 via Rock'N'Growl Records. www.facebook.com/annmyguard

Greek melodic Power metal masters Firewind, the group led by guitar-wizard and Ozzy Osbourne band member Gus G., are proud to announce the release of their upcoming 8th studio album, 'Immortals', which will be released on January 20th, 2017 via the band’s long-time label partner Century Media Records in Europe. Gus G. checked in to comment about 'Immortals' and its artwork (which can be seen above!) as follows: “Today we're very happy to reveal the cover artwork for our 8th studio album. It's titled "Immortals" and it's the first concept album Firewind has ever made. Since we're from Greece, we thought it would be a cool idea to make a concept of Greek history and heritage. So, on this album we focused on the legendary battles of Thermopylae and Salamis during the 2nd Persian invasion of Greece in 480 BC. The artwork was once again created by our long-time collaborator, Gustavo Sazes and we feel it reflects the vibe we tried to capture on this album - Epic, Powerful, Glorious, Everlasting.” 'Immortals' marks the first time Firewind used an outside co-producer, working with Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69), who not only engineered, mixed and mastered the album, but also co-wrote it together with Gus G. Next to the standard jewel case CD and Digital Download formats, “Immortals” will also be released as LP on 180gr vinyl with a poster as well as the entire album on CD as bonus. Additionally, there will also be a limited edition Media-book CD with expanded booklet, a bonus track and 3 stickers. Look out for more details and pre-order details soon… A first album’s online single is set to debut on November 25th, but in the meantime you can already check out a few sample riffs in a play-through clip that Gus G. recorded in co-operation with Toontrack’s EZmix 2 and the Metal Guitar Gods 4 EZmix Pack expansion here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5E7SFBKYVcU Gus G. and Toontrack have also launched a regular "Metal Month Masterclass" series of video lessons, of which the first two episodes can be seen here: 1. Influenced by artists such as Metal Church, Savatage, Mercyful Fate, Iron Maiden, Accept, and Judas Priest, the Hungarian warriors soon came up with their own songs. After a demo, two EPs, a full length, and a cover album they had become a known band in the Hungarian underground metal scene. Due to the fact that the audience of their music declined in Hungary, SpiritBell started to have fewer shows which ultimately led the band to their demise in 2013… However, the passion remained. Despite these disappointments, SpiritBell remained restless and continued to produce new works in their workshop. The hard work of melting the Hungarian steel resulted in five brand new, darkness filled high-energy tunes. Unfortunately, the lack of interest locked these masterpieces in their cellars but we all know what they say about the chained beast… It eventually finds its way to the surface with an endless hunger for blood. In 2016, times were different, people started to show interest in ringing the SpiritBell again, awakening the ghost of the once promising underground act. Sándor “Pixi” Patak”, singer and founding member of the band, decided to heed the call and resurrected the group by finishing the songs which were written after the split up. Five heavy/doom metal masterpieces were put in their final form in the home studio of Pixi’s friend. Five deadly songs about war, ghosts and other mysterious topics. Pixi is currently working on creating a stable line up to perform these tunes along with the old favourites. The inner beast is unleashed in the image of sabre wielding horse archers of Hungary, who like a deadly wave from East is ready to spread their heavy / doom metal music all around the world. This release, originally planned as an EP, has been expanded with 5 extra tracks, bringing the playing time over 48 minutes! Check what the guitarist Zoltán Márkó and Sándor “Pixi” Patak said about Desert Ghost: Zoltán: “I have always loved these Eastern topics along with the atmosphere of the deserts. As the main riff was born the whole song appeared in my head so the rest came naturally. Maybe you can hear both of my favourite bands in this song, but I let you to identify them.” Pixi: “I didn’t have much trouble with the lyrics of this one because after I have heard Zoltán’s demo I immediately thought about writing a story about the ghost of the desert. If I remember correctly I finished the lyrics within two days, including the corrections. I really enjoyed this one!” Pre-Order the Album: http://www.witchesbrewthrashes.eu/shop/sites/ger/catalog.php?cat=19&startat=0&artnbr=2776&letter=&lang=de&art_sort=0#det2776 https://witchesbrewthrashes.bandcamp.com/album/guided-by-evil-light Witches Brew HOMEPAGE || FACEBOOK || SHOP BANDCAMP || YOUTUBE || SOUNDCLOUD Carach Angren are currently unleashing a sinister video clip for the track "When Crows Tick on Windows" taken from the Dutch latest horror metal masterpiece This Is No Fairytale'. In our opinion this album is our most diverse output so far. It carries the typical Imperium Dekadenz mark from the first note, but we have added a new energy. Its epic and melodic parts will carry you off to mysterious and unknown places – like ancient ruins over the vulnerable sides of our spirits. We put our very hearts and souls into these songs! We hope that you enjoy this new journey into the dark realms of ancient cultures and the night."
