Latvian thrashers Saintorment are set to release their new album "Defective Mind" December 20th via More Hate productions. Now the band has launched the album preview! Watch it here:- https://youtu.be/CepFad4XSGA "Defective Mind" will be released via More Hate Productions, the CD will come with a 12 page booklet. The pages of the booklet will take you on a trip around our home-town, where you will visit all the places we see every day and which give us inspiration, sometimes apathy and often fill us with anger, the booklet also includes the lyrics and facts about the album. https://www.facebook.com/SaintormentSNT/ Hailing from Kuopio, Finnish industrial death metal group Project Silence will be supporting Soilwork + Aborted for their Baltic show in Riga (Melna Piektdiena) on February 14th. The band is currently promoting their latest album Slave to the Machine (released in June 2016 via Sliptrick Records). It’s a lethal mix of technical death and Teutonic Industrial metal. Despite the bold change in style compared to their earlier work, containing a progressive inclusion of more melodic, keyboard-driven atmospheres within their trademark extreme metal elements, the new tracks have been positively received by both the press and fans. Listen to Project Silence on: Spotify Official Website | Facebook | Youtube February 2016; Enter Shikari head out on a tour of the UK, taking in some of the biggest venues they have ever headlined in their decade-long career. In the DIY fashion that the band have become synonymous with, the video screen content and programming for the front of house quadrophonic audio system has all been created and slaved over for months by the band themselves. Wary of the potential disaster / glorious victory that lies ahead, but never ones to shy away from lifting the curtain to show the inner-workings of their endeavours, the band consider it a wise move to ensure someone is on hand to capture it all on video. Enter Shikari met photographer / videographer Alexey Makhov on one of their now regular trips to Russia; so when he mentioned his availability prior to the tour, it struck everyone as a no-brainer. The resulting 30 minute mini-documentary mixes beautifully shot & edited live footage, behind the scenes access, and candid interviews with the band; following them from the tour’s production rehearsals right through to its conclusion at a sold out show at London’s 9000 capacity Alexandra Palace. Frontman Rou Reynolds had this to say on the subject “It was great to have Alexy along to document the biggest tour of our lives. He captured both the tension behind the scenes and the emotional release on stage perfectly! " A full audio recording of the Alexandra Palace show, however, DOES exist, and has now been mixed and mastered. Details of what will be happening with that will be forthcoming shortly. Enter Shikari have a small number of European festival dates remaining this summer, along with an outdoor headline show at Budapest’s Barba Nagra Track, before heading to Japan and finally rounding off their live 2016 with a short Australian run. The official video for first single "Discrowned," featuring vocals by Soilwork's Björn "Speed" Strid, can be viewed at here. Brilliant melodies combine with the aggression of Death Metal throughout "Face of Balaam", yet that description doesn't quite do justice to the range of styles influencing the sound of Xaon. Consider the contributions of legendary acts like Anathema, Type O Negative, My Dying Bride, Soilwork, Demonical, Ulver, and even Finnish act Disgrace's early-to-mid 90s output, and you'll get the picture. Face of Balaam was produced and arranged by band members Vinc and Flo, recorded between June and August 2015, mixed and mastered by Julian at Parallel Focus Studios. Vocals engineered by Rob Carson at Carsonian Sound Solutions. All vocals, except "Discrowned," by were performed by Franco-American singer Rob Carson. Samples on "How we become Ephemeral Birds" and "Discrowned" by J.-P. Lana. The album artwork was created by Californian artist and painter Erik Burton Kirchner.
