Having remained silent on the subject for a year now, Danish Black Metallers Blodarv are ready to announce their new drummer with the arrival of Galheim (Denial Of God, Ad Noctum, Exmortem, Livjatan) on a full time basis.
Commenting on the new addition to the band, founder and frontman Hugin had this to say:
"Not only do we consider Galheim to be the best Danish drummer that ever walked this earth, but also, and even more importantly, we consider him to be the only real match for Blodarv, not just from a musical perspective, but also when it comes to the ideology, visions, and essence of the band. So much so, in fact, that we actually neither looked anywhere else, nor accepted any applications from anyone to take over the drummer's vacancy. Everyone in the band was in agreement that we didn't just want a great drummer, we wanted one who was hewn from the same rock as Blodarv, and Galheim was that person.
"He has his roots firmly planted in the Danish Black Metal scene of the 90’s and is someone we can connect and sync with, both musically and on a personal level, because he shares and understands the passion and dedication that goes into a life's work such as Blodarv. Not only do we want to keep the flame burning, we want to add fuel to the fire, elevate the band, and sharpen the knife that is Blodarv".
More information about Blodarv can be found on the band's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/blodarvofficial and on their website at www.blodarv.net

Demonic Resurrection has announced a line-up change which sees the departure of their lead guitarist Nishith Hegde, who has been promptly replaced by Vignesh V.
Nishith had this to say about it:-
"No matter how much we want things to be the same, life is all about change. Sometimes it’s for the better and sometimes it’s not. I have had a glorious 5 years with Demonic Resurrection and it will always remain very close to me, the journey I was a part of. But priorities change and you have to do what you have to do. I wish my friends in DR all the very best for all their future endeavours and hope they reach greater heights. As for me, my journey with them ends here!"
"It's been a pleasure having Nishith be a part of this band and we're definitely going to miss having him around. His contribution has been invaluable and you can hear his musical genius on the recordings of Dashavatar. They are part of the history of DR now.
Line-up changes seem to be the only constant in DR but it's something I've come to terms with, it's always hard but everyone has to follow their own path and DR is a stepping stone in that journey. We will carry on as always and for now Vignesh V. (Albatross) is going to be filling in as lead guitarist on all upcoming India tours. We are looking and auditioning lead guitar players but we still haven't found a full time replacement for Ashwin (who quit last year) so technically we're still looking for a full time bass player as well. Vignesh has filled in for Nishith last year for a couple of shows so we're quite comfortable with this line-up for now. Onward and upward."
Demonic Resurrection released another official video of a song from their last album 'Dashavatar' via the band's official channel AT THIS LINK. The band will be touring UK shortly where they have confirmed festival appearances.
The second festival appearance is at Eradication Festival 2018 where the leading band will be playing alongside bands such as Extreme Noise Terror, Hecate Enthroned, Wombbath, Warlord UK and others. RSVP HERE.
The band also released a brand new video of their song Krishna - The Cowherd AT THIS LINK.

W.E.B. is a Dark / Black / Death / Goth Metal band based in the ashes of Athens – Greece. The Fall of 2002AD was the time that the idea of W.E.B. was born and started to take a life-form shape from an embryonic state to a music challenge expressing darkness and death through adrenaline and poetry. An expression both straight but at the same time theatrical. W.E.B. is here to move you, provoke you, and invite you to the journey through raven-dark starless nights with a fire made of Metal music. Their fourth album, “Tartarus” came out on November 10th (2017) via Apathia Records, which is probably the band’s most diverse album, so far! “Tartarus” focuses on a deeper inclusion of orchestrations, making it sound more epic, while keeping the band’s very own Dark Metal genre. The album also features a noticeable guest apparition by Sotiris Vayenas (Septic Flesh) on the ninth track “Thanatos Part I – Golgotha”.

Just recently Theatres Des Vampires released the video for their new single ‘Resurrection Mary’ taken from the band’s latest album ‘Candyland’ (out on Scarlet Records). The video is directed by Patrizia Cogliati Musicphoto (www.musichphoto.it). Watch “Resurrection Mary” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiDVWbGQCR0
Theatres Des Vampires is an Italian Gothic Metal band with strong symphonic influences, formed in 1994 and renowned for the predominant theme of vampirism in their lyrics. ‘Candyland’ has been inspired by a room of the infamous Pennhurst asylum in Pennsylvania, a room which was different from all the others, with coloured walls and bars on the windows, described as hell on earth by the patients of the facility, where adults and children with severe mental problems have been hidden from the public eye for decades. ‘Candyland’ was the name of that room. Obsession and madness characterizes Theatres Des Vampires’ latest work, their sound is forceful and sensual at the same time, pervaded with those wistful and melancholic bursts which the band is renowned for. “Candyland” sees a very special guest appearance by legendary Moonspell frontman Fernando Ribeiro on the song ‘Seventh Room’.

With no more song-writing restrictions, the band are reaching greater heights trying out a plethora of new ideas, which you will all hear in the coming months.
Light The Torch will absolutely continue to perform Devil You Know songs and as the band state below, the only way the group could legally continue to perform as band would be under this course of action.
Light The Torchstates: “After member issues and legalities continued for a year with no end in sight, we collectively felt it was time to put DYK to rest. Every effort was made to avoid this decision, but it needed/had to be done for the sake of moving forward. We will be forever grateful to those of you who shared that journey with us. With that said, we decided that this was a perfect time to write and record something truly different, something that reflected what we have been through and what we have become. Our new album is almost done being mixed, and there will be many more details coming in the following days and weeks. We are Light The Torch. See you soon."
