Finnish melodic metallers Lilli drop third single Elude from their upcoming second album

Finnish melodic metal band Lilli releases the third single from the upcoming second album on Thursday 12th of May. The song titled Elude is a heavy sounding but still wistful story of giving one’s all but still to be left with nothing. Elude following the two earlier single releases - Limits of Life and Manflake - continues the musical development leaning towards heavier sounds compared to the band’s first album Awful Hits for Women (2020).

Vocalist Lily Black sums it up:-

”The lyrics are about trial and error in a relationship, about giving all you got to someone but still just not being enough. Eventually one is forced to give up and let go, but still the doubt remains: did I try hard enough or could I have given it more effort?"

Guitarist Teemu Harjunen and bassist Sami Halinen comment on the song:-

"Elude differs from other our songs because the basic structure was created almost two years ago but the finishing took time. The chorus especially took a lot of work and we ground it to the point of tiring. We put the song on the shelf for a while and got back to working on it in the beginning of 2022 as we were working on the second album. Suddenly it all just clicked and the released version also includes a synthesizer bringing wideness to the sound. The song is very nice to play and as an upbeat song it works great in live shows as well”

The song has been recorded in the group’s bassist Sami Halinen’s home studio in Nakkila
Mixing was done by Sami Niittykoski (SN-Audio Production) and mastering Alho Audio Mastering.
LILLI is a melodic rock and metal playing band founded in February 2019 from Pori, Finland.

Dreamferno's new song is a reverence to songwriters' close relative who passed away after a long struggle with terminal illness. Hagne is all about purity and virtue. One can only hope that everyone has at least one person in their life, who passes on the idea of good morals and kindness for the next generation.

The song starts off with a beautiful Disney - style intro which transforms into a vibrant symphonic rock interpretation accompanied with vocals by Enni Rautiainen and Samuli Rimmi. Krzysztof Dobosiewicz is responsible for the exquisite arranging of the orchestrations. Composing and lyrics are from the pen of Samuli.

Danish melodic deathcore outfit Hanging The Nihilist present new single 'To The Sound Of Madness'

10/4/2022

Picture

Danish melodic deathcore band Hanging The Nihilist are gearing up for the release of their debut full-length album ‘Prophetic Blasphemy’, an album with an epic story of cosmic treason and revenge, on a backdrop of some of Europe’s most crushing and frenzied modern deathcore. Today they present the second single '... To the Sound of Madness' - watch the accompanying music video above.

Vocalist Alex Hall Kristensen muses:-

“'...To The Sound of Madness' is a track where we truly combined all our influences - from the frenzied blackened passages to the hard-hitting breakdowns and slams that for sure will make people move. Lyrically, the song explores the remains of the story’s fallen empire, and how it keeps spiralling further into despair even though the evil that influenced its downfall is gone."

Since being formed in 2016, Hanging The Nihilist has played shows with bands such as Shokran, Imminence, MØL, Cabal, among others. After the release of their EP ‘Crow’, the six-piece debuted at the UK metal scene with their performance at TECH METAL FEST 2019, with headliners DYING FETUS, MONUMENTS and LEPROUS. The coming debut album marks a new level of ambition and direction for the band, revealing what the hard-hitting six-piece has to offer the world of extreme metal. ‘Prophetic Blasphemy’ has been recorded and produced by renowned sound engineer Chris Kreutzfeldt (CABAL, Unseen Faith, MØL) and is set to be released on June 3rd through Prime Collective.

The new single '... To the Sound of Madness' is available on all streaming services.

Finnish melodic metal band Dark The Suns is set to release their yet unnamed fifth studio album later in 2022 via Inverse Records. The first single 'Kun Aallot Kallioihin Murtuu' is released today.

Mikko Ojala commets:

"Kun Aallot Kallioihin Murtuu is the first single from our 5th album. The song speaks about sorrow and grief and how some day you will have to forget and move on with your life."

  • Tidal: https://listen.tidal.com/album/218909312

In 2005 Dark the Suns was founded by Mikko Ojala. In 2006 the band grew when three new members (bass player Inka, Juha on the keyboards and drummer Markus) joined the band, which signed with Firebox Records that same year. During 2007-2010 Firebox Records released the band’s three full-length albums (In Darkness Comes Beauty, All Ends in Silence and Sleepwalking in a Nightmare). The band performed many live shows during these years.

There have been some changes in the line-up over the years, but Mikko and Inka have been continuously together, making music. The band was inactive for 2013-2020 but in 2020 Mikko and Inka decided to resume making music together. It was a really natural way to continue the band as a duo, because they have written almost all the band’s music and lyrics during all these years.

In 2020 and 2021 Inverse Records released four singles from the band’s 4th album Suru Raivosi Sydämeni Pimeydessä. The album includes ten songs of melancholic and melodic Finnish metal music. The band has always described their music as ”Beautiful piano melodies and dark vocals”.

Fifth studio album is set to be released later in 2022 via Inverse Records.

Japanese symphonic metal wizards Heterogeneous Andead drop new lyric video "Fragments Of Memories"

24/3/2022

Picture

"Fragments Of Memories" is a track taken from Heterogeneous Andead's upcoming album "Chaotic Fragments", which is due for release April 8th via Wormholedeath worldwide.

Heterogeneous Andead is a melodic & symphonic electro death / thrash metal band from Tokyo, Japan. The sound is based on thrash metal with progressive metal, added electronic & symphonic sounds, and all of them is sung by a mezzo-soprano & who also uses growling vocals.

"We've released one EP & album so far, so this album will be our third release. We don't change the concept and aimed to further improve the level while making it understandable as Heterogeneous Andead music immediately after listening. There are songs with more progressive elements in this album, and we also take on new challenges such as triple time.

It also features more guitar harmonies and the synthesizer's sound is more emphasized than before. The performance of each part is also more energetic. This album has only 8 songs, but I think that all the songs are good quality to be the lead track of the album. In this album Yusuke Kiyama worked on mixing / mastering, so all the sounds are our ideals."

Heterogeneous Andead are:-

  • Haruka: Vocals (Mezzo-soprano & growling vocals)
  • Yusuke Kiyama: Guitar, Synthesizer, Programming
  • Tomoyuki Nakano: Drums

Finnish melodic metal crew Numento unveil new single 'Hadal Ground'; new album drops later this year

Picture: Kai Lukander

Helsinki based progressive melodic metal band with extreme metal Influences Numento is releasing their second album later this year. The first single from the upcoming album is now released!

"Hadal Ground" is inspired by the Greek god of the underworld. The song is about a dark parallel reality, a crooked version of our world, that is ruled by the empress of the dead accompanied by nightmarish creatures that prey on human minds.

The origin of Numento dates back to 2004. That year a few schoolmates from eastern Helsinki decided to start playing instruments. And of course before anyone had learned a single chord it felt mandatory to also form a band. A metal band. During the following years the band changed its name a couple times. It wasn’t until late 2010 when the band decided to change its name for the last time. The name Numento was chosen after a long night. The line-up has had few changes after that, but it was that time that the band started to find it's own sound that you can still recognize in their music.

Finnish melodic metal band Dead End Finland released a new single and music video 'Northern Winds'. The track is taken from the upcoming fifth studio album which is released later this year by Inverse Records.

Watch 'Northern Winds' music video: https://youtu.be/7HvKlU0C800

Guitarist & Bass player Santtu Rosén comments:

"One of the strengths of Dead End Finland has always been the ability to turn a difficult situation into a resource. So when the corona storm was raging, we decided to throw ourselves into the wind and draw strength from it.

During the darkening evenings of autumn, we wrote more material and soon we were in a situation where making a full length album was a better option than the originally planned EP. "Northern Winds" is the opening track of the upcoming album and it tells the story of a situation where an individual has to face an impending threat and follow his instincts in order to survive."

A year later Hok-key started to work on new material. Over the 2000 - 2002 period, Hok-key played about twenty concerts in Belarus and abroad, and took part in numerous festivals, radio and TV talk shows.

From 2003 - 2004 the band was in the amorphous state and took a second hiatus. In August 2005 Hok-key was revived as a melodic metal band. Hok-key is a vivid representative of the Belarusian metal scene, who have taken the path from comedy metal directly to its present form - philosophical texts and constant musical and sound experiments, and could be described as melodic metal with folk influences.

The band has been broadcasted on radio stations, actively participates in various festivals and concerts at both home and abroad. In 2015 the band went on their "Thunder and Lightning European Tour" and from 2017 - 2018, during their "Reaping Europe Tour" the band visited almost all of the countries in Europe, from Poland to Portugal.
