Mumbai-based death metal multi-instrumentalist, Sahil Makhija aka Demonstealer, is all set to release his next solo EP titled ‘And This Too Shall Pass’ on the 11th December, 2020. The 4-song EP is being self-released with the help of a crowd-funding campaign that Makhija personally set up in July earlier this year. Three years after The Last Reptilian Warrior, it was the COVID-19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown in the country that provided Makhija with a new perspective and the inspiration to write new music. And This Too Shall Pass sees Makhija return to his absolute roots. He adds:- “I guess this is me at my most vulnerable. It’s just me, no incredible musicians to back me up, just me putting my expression and feelings and thoughts into songs for the world to listen to”. An extreme music old-timer Makhija has long been a crucial part of the Indian metal scene; be it founding the country’s biggest extreme metal band (Demonic Resurrection), or starting up an independent record label (with releases by Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir) or setting up a premium recording studio dedicated to extreme metal – Makhija has had an enormous role in shaping the country’s heavy music landscape. After a successful third album, which saw collaborations with Kévin Paradis (Benighted, Svart Crown), Romain Goulon (Necrophagist), Kerim Lechner (Septic Flesh, Decapitated) and David Diepold (Obscura) amongst others, Makhija has resurfaced with a brand new Demonstealer release. The release was mixed and mastered at the esteemed Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Decapitated, Vader), a first for Makhija who is otherwise known to mix all the Demonstealer releases. The glorious artwork for the EP was provided by Indonesian artist Adi Dechristianize (Embalmer, Disgorge). All music on And This Too Shall Pass has been written, played and recorded by Makhija — making it truly a solo effort — a feat he hasn’t performed since his debut album released in 2008. Spanish Melodic Death Metal band Bloodhunter will re-release their debut self-titled album from 2014 on July 3rd 2020 (Digital) and September 4th 2020 (CD). The re-release will include bonus EP - "Live in Madrid (2020)"! Band comments about the re-issue: Diva Satanica: "Bloodhunter was my first studio recording as a vocalist. It was a hard process during which I learned a lot and for that I'm especially fond of it. When we realized that physical copies were selling out, we started to think of the idea of making a reissue further on, as a gift to the fans, and that's how this reissue came up, with new artwork by Gustavo Sazes and 6 live bonus tracks from the concert we played in Madrid last year." Daniel Luces: "Bloodhunter, our first album, will always hold a special place in our hearts. The experience in the studio with our engineer Pedro was eye opening, and I personally learned a lot from him that shaped me both as a bass player and a sound engineer, which consequently spilled over to our second album when we took most of the engineering duties on our own hands. When considering the idea of a reissue with a new cover and layout, we decided to use the tracks from the live show we recorded in Madrid in March 2019, which I think makes a great contrast in showing where we were as a band in 2014 compared to 2019 with a second album and several big festivals under our belt. We hope everyone enjoys the new design and the bonus tracks, and maybe it also gives new fans the chance to rediscover our early work!" Dani Arcos: "We have been thinking about reissuing our first album for a while, as it has been sold out since 2015, but we didn’t want to just release it again, so we tried to record a couple of shows in order to add some live bonus tracks to this reissue. We usually have positive comments from our fans saying they love our live shows, so this is a compensation for their support in these hard moments. We have very good memories when we were recording this album with Pedro Mendes in Braga (Portugal). There were many changes in Bloodhunter since we recorded this album, but the core of the band remains the same." Credits:
Bloodhunter is an extreme metal band born in Galician lands (Spain) in 2008 from the hand of sole founding member and main songwriter, Dani Arcos. After several changes in their line-up and concept, Diva SatanicaATANICA joins the band in 2009, whose guttural vocal assault helped drift the band into more extreme territories. Their self-titled full-length album is released in May 2014, produced by Daniel Cardoso and Pedro Mendes at Ultrasound Studios. Eleven tracks that include updated versions of the 3 songs already present in the demo, as a result of a journey from the instinct that expresses the essence of this band: its versatility. This album has been distributed physically in many countries around the world such as Japan, USA, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, Sweden, France, among others. Later, the band would open for bands like Hemdale (USA), Holy Moses (Germany), Avulsed (Spain), Ancient Rites (Belgium), Rise to Fall (Spain) and Aposento (Spain), before joining Nightrage (Sweden) and Methedras (Italy) on their first week-long Spanish trek called "THE BLOODY TOUR". Diva Satanica participates in the TV Show “THE VOICE”, surprising the coaches by singing screaming and growling, being the first contestant to perform this type of singing. The international artist Juanes chooses her to be part of his team, where she performed songs like “SWEET DREAMS”, “EYE OF THE TIGER” or Lady Gaga’s “BAD ROMANCE”. During 2020, Bloodhunter released a reissue of their first album with a new artwork. This reissue included 6 live bonus tracks recorded in Madrid during THE TOUR OF FAITH (2018-2019). Since beginning of 2020, DIVA SATANICA is also the new vocalist of the Brazilian band NERVOSA. The band is currently recording their 3rd full-length album. https://www.facebook.com/BLOODHUNTEROfficial/ http://www.bloodhunter.net/ Finnish Melodic death unit Re-Armed unleashed the lyric video for “Ode to Life” which features guitar solo contribution from Euge Valovirta (CyHra). The track serves as the second single from their upcoming album, Ignis Aeternum, slated for worldwide release on 05th June via Black Lion Records. Re-Armed informs:- “We consistently choose to challenge both ourselves and the world around us. Breaking all boundaries is part of our writing process these days. This song is a good example of it. Metal music is generally full of cliches when it comes to song and album themes but we wanted to avoid most of these obvious cliches. Ode to Life dives musically and lyrically into the realms of existence. It is literally an ode to life itself, to our biodiversity, to our home planet Earth. So instead of all death, misery, and negativity, we do have positive messages within this song and in the whole album.” Hear the track AT THIS LOCATION Hailing from Kerava, Finland, Re-Armed has been around since 2001. Over the course of their nearly two decades of prolific journey, they underwent several line-up changes and unearthed three critically acclaimed full-lengths, an EP, and numerous demo releases. Their tight and fierce on-stage showmanship let them tour/share stage with many influential names of the metal world and appear at numerous European and Asian venues/fests, including Bloodstock Open Air, Suomi Feast, and Neurotic Death Fest. Incorporating death metal, thrash metal, and symphonic influences to put an exciting modern feel to their crafts, Re-Armed made “Gothenburg metal” a scarcely appropriate tag to define their sound. And their forthcoming album, Ignis Aeternum, dives musically and lyrically into the realms of existence. It is an ode to life itself, to biodiversity, and to the planet Earth. Every song on the album contains beautiful melodies, elegant symphonic elements, and cleaner vocals than that of their previously released materials. Pre-order:

Three years in the making, Stargazers showcases the band’s constant evolution, in both songwriting and sound. The legacy of 1990s and 2000s metal pioneers is intertwined with modern genre trends, energetic riffs are complemented by cinematic synths, and loyalty to the band’s hallmark sound. The sound of the album is completed by voices of famous modern metal bands - Richard Sjunnesson from The Unguided ("Frost Grip") and Bjorn Strid from SOILWORK ("Starlight"). Stargazers is a tragic story of the presence of personal afflictions and disasters, affecting us all. Told in 12 epic compositions, the conceptually bleak album leaves room for a glimpse of hope and optimism. Drops Of Heart has launched the album’s first single, “Modern Madness.” Stream the track now at dropsofheart.bandcamp.com/album/stargazers. Stargazers will be released on 07/22/2020. Drops Of Heart was formed in the Russian city of Ufa during summer of 2008 by young musicians without any significant experience in this field. After a few line-up changes, the band tried to make the first serious recordings and released the debut EP Truth of the Closed Eyes. The band continued to develop their musical skill, their appearances at the scenes in the band’s home town became more frequent. However, frequent line-up changes negatively affected the atmosphere in the team. This had led to the disintegration of the band in 2010. But after several years of dead silence, the team's vocalist, Denis Fakhrislamov, together with a friend and a colleague in other bands, Vadim Nizamov, gave Drops Of Heart a new birth. With an updated and improved line-up, Drops Of Heart began working on new material and in December 2014 they released their first full album New Hope which they promoted on their own. The next big step in band’s life was experiments with the format of single releases: from 2016 to 2017 Drops Of Heart released a series of maxi-singles "Time and Pulse", "Amanda", "Faceless", "Starlight". Each maxi-single was released in three versions - Russian, English and instrumental, and was accompanied by various bonuses in the form of covers or alternative versions of already published tracks. The first official videos in the history of the band were shot on 2 singles (“Time and Pulse”, “Amanda”), also vocalist of the Swedish band Soilwork Bjorn Strid took part in the recording of the “Starlight”. During this period, Drops Of Heart attempted to experiment not only with the format of their new products releases, but also with the sound of releasing material: away from the traditional melodic death metal to a more atmospheric sound, which was achieved by the use of electronics and interweaving with other subgenres of metal, for example black metal ("Faceless"). In 2017, the band decided to open a new chapter in their life and started writing for their new album, Stargazers. Due to various circumstances, the most important of which was the departure of one of the band composers, Igor Barshchevsky, the recording of the album was delayed until 2020. dropsofheart.bandcamp.com www.instagram.com/dropsofheart www.youtube.com/user/dropsofheart www.facebook.com/pg/dropsofheartmetal vk.com/drops_of_heart Spanish Melodic Death Metallers Synlakross have issued a statement regarding their new album:- "Hi Curly Wolves! The band released a second single Murder of Crows along with music video and it is available here: https://youtu.be/A6fyjAYkNtM Vocalist Okko Solanterä comments:- ""Murder Of Crows" is in a way our love letter to old school melodic death. Straightforward and a little bit of flirting with Swedish metal. The lyrics go through conflicts with the self and the world, and the rest I'll leave to the imagination. The music video was shot in the beautiful (and haunted) Anjala Mansion. Our drummer Mikko had a fever, but he pulled through like a champ! The whole band is super happy with the results, as the video beautifully supports the feeling of the song! It's easy to stand proudly behind it." The album consists of ten versatile metal tracks, which show a wide range of influences. Lyrical themes of the album deal with “collapsing” on a personal and societal level. There are also sci-fi-themes as an added bonus. “Collapse” was forged during late 2018 and early 2019 at Deep Noise Studios in Kouvola, Finland. It was recorded and mixed by Saku Moilanen. Mastering was done at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden by Tony Lindgren. The video is set in the beautiful Castello Trefogli in Taverne-Torricella. Clod - keyboards - states:- “I wrote the lyrics for Freely Enchained with inspiration to the TV series “Manhunt: Unabomber”, based on the famous serial killer. I was particularly struck by a scene in which Unabomber finds himself at a crossroads: being physically imprisoned but continuing to be ideologically free by promulgating his ideologies with his head held high or being locked up in a psychiatric hospital and consequently being forced to admit that his manifesto was simple madness."
