Satyricon unveils track-list for new album 'Deep calleth upon Deep'; now available for pre-order4/8/2017 Nearly three years in the making, black metal legends Satyricon have revealed their highly anticipated ninth studio album, 'Deep calleth upon Deep' is set for release on 22nd September via Napalm Records. The opus will be available in digital format, CD digipak and gatefold vinyl options and is now available for pre-order HERE! The band recently unveiled initial album details and the album’s artwork, an obscure drawing from 1898 by perhaps the greatest Norwegian artist of all time, Edvard Munch. Recorded in Oslo, Norway and Vancouver, Canada, during early 2017 and mixed together with revered studio guru Mike Fraser (who previously worked on Satyricon’s 2006 album, ‘Now, Diabolical’), ‘Deep calleth upon Deep’ is not just a new collection of songs from one of extreme music’s most enduring and reliable bands: this is a wholesale reinvention and a brand new era in Satyricon history. Says frontman and visionary Satyr: “Approaching this release, what I always kept in mind is that either this is the beginning of something new or it’s gonna be my last record. If this is going to be the last, then it needs to be something special. If there are more records, then I’d better make sure that this is so different from the last one that it feels like a new beginning. I think it’s really, really dark, very spiritual and filled with confidence and energy.” 'Deep calleth upon Deep' is a profound statement about the essence of Satyricon’s music and the eternal value of art itself. Satyr continues, “The way that I see it is that for any art, be it Satyricon or any other form of art with substance, in order for you to be able to inhale and completely understand it, it will take a little bit of you as well. If you get it all after a couple of listens, you know that it probably won’t stay with you. So the title is saying, ‘From the depth of the people making this record to the depth of the listener…’ If you want to take part in this journey, you should be prepared to dig deep down in the darkest corner of your soul with us." Satyricon have always excelled as a live band, their evocative performances increasingly becoming special events as their frequency is dialled back to accommodate the Oslo band’s new ‘modus operandi’. In support of 'Deep calleth upon Deep' the band is set to tour on the following dates: 24.09.17 DE - Hamburg / Grünspan 25.09.17 DE - Essen / Turock 26.09.17 NL - Tilburg - 013 27.09.17 BE - Vosselaar / Biebob 29.09.17 UK - London / Heaven 30.09.17 FR - Paris / La Maroquinerie 01.10.17 FR - Nantes - MJC De Reze 02.10.17 FR - Toulouse / Le Metronum 04.10.17 ES - Madrid / Sala But 05.10.17 ES - Barcelona / Razzamatazz 06.10.17 FR – Montpellier / Rockstore 07.10.17 IT - Bologna / Zona Roveri 09.10.17 CH - Zurich / Dynamo 10.10.17 DE - Munich / Backstage Halle 11.10.17 AT - Vienna / Szene 12.10.17 CZ - Prague / Akropolis 14.10.17 PL - Krakow / Kwadrat 15.10.17 PL - Warsaw / Progresja 16.10.17 DE - Berlin / SO36 17.10.17 DK - Copenhagen / Pumpehuset 19.10.17 DK - Aarhus / Train 20.10.17 SE - Gotherburg / Pustervik 21.10.17 SE - Stockholm / Klubben 31.10.17 MX - Guadalajara / C3 Stage 01.11.17 MX - Mexico City / Circo Volador 02.11.17 CR - San Jose / Pepper’s Club 07.11.17 CL - Santiago / Blondie 08.11.17 AR - Buenos Aires / Uniclub 10.11.17 BR - Belo Horizonte / Stonehenge 11.11.17 BR - Sao Paulo / Clash Club 12.11.17 BR - Rio De Janeiro / Teatro Oddiseia 22.11.17 NO - Molde / Gamle Kulturset 23.11.17 NO - Trondheim / Byscenen 24.11.17 NO - Oslo / Sentrum Scene 25.11.17 NO - Tromso / Driv 29.11.17 NO - Bergen / Hulen 30.11.17 NO - Stavanger / Folken 01.12.17 NO - Kristiansand / Kick 02.12.17 NO - Hamar / Gregers www.satyricon.no www.facebook.com/satyriconofficial www.napalmrecords.com www.facebook.com/napalmrecords

The album Fate will be made available in the US, Canada and Mexico via Sliptrick on August 29th, 2017. Japanese, Tokyo based band Mary’s Blood, are a power metal band formed by ex-Destrose members Eye, Saki and Mari. Originally formed as a 5 piece, the band has now settled into a tight-knit 4 member group with Rio filling the bass position. Although their music is very much of the here and now, the band wear their love of the 80’s proudly and share with that era, a gift of blending melody with tremendous power and precision. Whilst the stylistic influences may be clear, Mary’s Blood have forged their own raw unique sound which gives them their truest identity within the Japanese scene and singles them out as one of the best all girl hard rock/metal bands out there. The group have had numerous releases since their debut EP in 2011 and are currently promoting their 3rd album release, Fate which has had wide spread critical acclaim in Asia and beyond. Fate and their previous album, Bloody Palace are now being made available worldwide and if you love down, dirty, groovy and melodic heavy metal music played by fantastic female musicians with a fiery passion for what they do, then then these albums are an absolute must for any self-respecting fan of the genre! Norwegian extreme metal titans Ancient have announced their Latin American tour dates and cities, kicking off on September 7th in Mexico. Check out the tour dates below. Ancient Frontman Zel stated: "We are very excited and proud to announce the Ancient tour in Latin America in September. This has in many ways been a dream come true for us, to finally tour this corner of the world. The tour that took place in 2007 was not with a full band line-up and I was not even there myself, but this time we will bring the most powerful and energetic line up Ancient has ever had, with Mr. Nick Barker himself on the drums!! A lot of fans from countries like Honduras, Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Venezuela and especially Brazil, have been writing to us asking why we will not visit these places during the tour. The thing is, that it does not depend on the band, we would play in every single country if we had the chance. These decisions are always made by the booking agency and the local promoters in each country. Sometimes the expenses (especially with travelling) are simply too high to make it happen, but we will do our best to return again with an even bigger tour next time !!! Let's keep the Ancient spirit alive !!" Stream that sucker at http://www.metalunderground.com/news/details.cfm?newsid=129811 Chaos Records will release The Great Void of Mystery, on December 12. Led by Julio Viterbo (Tormentor, Shub Niggurath, Cenotaph, The Chasm), the music is primarily NWOBHM-inspired Heavy Metal infused with the range of influences from Viterbo's impressive career as a musician. Pre-order the album at this location. After a long and illustrious career in Death Metal as a guitarist in the aforementioned bands, Viterbo decided to reconnect with the Heavy Metal that enveloped him as a youth and gave meaning to his life. The groundwork was laid in August 2013 when Viterbo participated in the recording of Acerus debut album The Unreachable Salvation, a Heavy Metal album for which he composed half the songs. The work was a turning point in his career as a guitarist, allowing Viterbo to explore new sounds and expand his compositional scope. The result was the launch of Heavens Decay in 2015. After composing several songs, Viterbo invited Oscar Clorio (Damned Cross, Cenotaph, Shub Niggurath, Denial) to join him on the journey as drummer, The pair then recruited Nick Hernandez (Stone Magnum) as vocalist. The songs were completed via the Internet, as Oscar lives in Mexico City, while Julio and Nick call Chicago home. Finally in July 2016 Heavens Decay recorded The Great Void Of Mystery in Chicago's Minbal studios. The album was engineered by Matt Russell and mastered by Dan Swanö in Unisound studios in Sweden. Chaos Records will release the album on CD and digital formats. The band is already working on new material for the next installment of Heavy Metal Fury. Today, Mexican black metal cartel Mordskog premiere the new track "Mors Est Vitae Essentia" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated debut album, XIII, set for international release on January 6th, 2017 via Werewolf Records, freshly in conspiracy with Hells Headbangers. Hear Mordskog's "Mors Est Vitae Essentia" exclusively HERE. Despite hailing from the hellishly humid climes of Mexico City, the trio of Mordskog bewitch with an ancient black metal mysticism that's freezing to the touch but burning at its core. And yet, for all its '90s classicism, there's not a single clear-cut influence to easily discern across the nine tracks of XIII; it's as if all the best strains of second-wave black metal, be they Norwegian or Polish or Swedish or French or even Greek and Czech, have profusely swirled within a long-hidden cauldron, only now to bubble over and into something familiar yet foreign. But just as equally do Mordskog honor their heritage with a hallucinatory, coke-dusted approach to songwriting, locating all the crevices below and between, spiritually spelunking and basking in the descent. With noses seduced by the harshest yeyo, this is all ably amplified by the strange 'n' powerful production, which all sounds like it could've arrived from the more boundless, unorthodox '90s. The gates have opened and the landscape ahead is vast: Mordskog have the number with XIII. Hear the next number to be revealed exclusively HERE, courtesy of NoCleanSinging.com. The first number can be heard the track "Nascentes Morimur" exclusively HERE at Werewolf Records' Bandcamp, where the album can also be pre-ordered. Werewolf Records is a Luciferian metal temple founded in 1998. The wolfish cry from the Carelian battleground, Werewolf Records exclusively releases black metal and congruent noise. In this age when black metal’s worth is questionable, idealism and rigour are the exception when they should be the highest law. We uphold the law of the Wolf – the destruction of the weak and the false so that the original vitality of the dark magic art can continue to grow and create the foundations for an empire. Black metal is Will and Power. We deal with material that inspires us on our journey towards our own kingdom - a kingdom that is not yours, but bears a resemblance to the one there could be for you. Now in conspiracy with Hells Headbangers, the temple of Werewolf Records shall wage its war farther and wider than ever, with no spiritual surrender. Cover and track-listing for Mordskog's XIII are as follows: It only seems like yesterday that Mexico's melodic death metal quartet Nuclear Chaos released their second record Ruins Of The Future. That release also came with the band's first ever music video 'Suffocate' which featured guest vocals from none other than David Vincent of Morbid Angel fame. Having been on the road including a stint in Europe playing at prestigious events such as Wacken Open Air and Metal Days we're now over half way through 2016 and the band have been busy tracking the follow up to that release. The band comments, "The new record is very different from what we did in the past but it keeps the Nuclear Chaos essence intact. The album will contain many different influences going from melodic death metal to Latin metal. We are very excited about this release and this album will show a stronger and more mature Nuclear Chaos." With a title yet to be revealed, and a release date slated for early 2017 the band have a new single to bridge the gap. Coinciding with the new single, entitled 'Shockwave', the band have also unleashed a new music video for it. The video was shot in Templo San Lázaro (St. Lazarus Temple), an abandoned church from the 1520's in Mexico City. It was shot, directed and edited by Frank Fletcher and Ponce Chiefs from the Mexican studios Soberbios Films. "Shockwave is an allusion to what we have lived in the past years," comments the band. "It shows a metaphor of how we overcame some personal problems that we will carry as chains forever. They will always be there as a reminder of what we have gone through but they also show that what doesn't destroy you will make you rise stronger." www.facebook.com/nuclearchaosmusic Mexican metal quartet, Excellion, stream their new, fourth EP titled Unsean ahead of its release which is set for August 6th. Speaking about the level of creativity the new EP reaches compared with the previous efforts, bassist and backing vocalist Adrian Vilbel commented: “On ‘Unsean' you can find this maturity in the sound that is very unique actually, all instruments converge in a way that it just was’t in our previous releases, that’s why this new material it’s really a breakthrough for us. “We were trying to express ourselves in the way we felt at the moment when we moved to Mexico City, it was a moment to adapt and learn a new way to live, so we felt the urgency to write some riffs and melodies that made people feel those expressions, that’s how the whole concept came to mind,” he continues. Unsean is the fourth EP release the band put out to date, and it was originally planned to be a full-length release, but Excellion decided to split it in two shorter releases. Vilbel also talked about the reasons behind that decision. “Nowadays it’s kind of hard that a person listen to a full album from the beginning to the end. There would be a lot to digest and they just don’t want that, at least a lot of people, so yeah, ‘Unsean’ was actually a full-length, but we wanted people to give the same weight to every song and not just one or two. We wanted to write songs with high quality too and not just fillers so we decided to make this release in two parts. This is part one and you can expect part two some time around 2017. This way people can sit and listen the whole EP and it’ll be easy to digest too.” Unsean is out on August 6. Listen to the EP in its entirety through a YouTube stream. The EP is available from iTunes and Google Play.
