Finland's Rottendawn ft. members of Unholy and Impaled Nazarane sign with Saturnal Records

Saturnal Records announces the signing of RottenDawn. Hailing from Finland, RottenDawn is an experienced and aspiring group of old-school Finnish metal pioneers in a fresh, new package from such bands as Protected Illusion, Unholy, Sinisthra, and Impaled Nazarene.

Founded by Joni Halmetoja (guitars) and Make Mäkinen (guitars), the earliest stages of RottenDawn began already back in the first quarter of this decade in the capital of Finland, Helsinki. But it wasn't until 2014 when things really started to progress towards the band's current musical style - simply, very heavy music - when Pasi Äijö (Unholy) joined the RottenDawn ranks for vocal and bass duties. Still, later on, the band found its footing when Mikael Arnkil (Impaled Nazarene) was asked to join as drummer during spring 2017, completing this heavy mixture of dark, harmonic doom and death metal - or, as described by the band, "Rotten Doom Metal."

RottenDawn is currently working on their upcoming, as-yet-untitled debut album, which will be released through Saturnal Records in late 2018 / early 2019. Every member of the band has countless miles of heavy metal music - or history in music, in general - behind them, and that can be heard from RottenDawn's unique, grooving old-school death metal / doom mixture.

Hear for yourself with the first official track, "Dusk Demons," which can be heard HERE at Saturnal's official YouTube channel. For more info, consult the links below.

Bangladeshi Old School Death Metal trio Nekrohowl stream new track via No Clean Singing

24/9/2017

Picture

Nekrohowl, an entity that has already marked themselves as a formidable force in the South Asian metal scene with their deadliest sound and intense live annihilation. Their upcoming debut EP "Epitome of Morbid" is a must a listen for those -- who love putrid form of death metal music.

No Clean Singing exclusively Streamed the second track "Blasphemy Still Unnamed", which can be found at this location.

3.Worship Thy Malevolence
4.Epitome of Morbid
5.Mortal Incubation

Originally started as a death metal quartet in the crypt of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Nekrohowl was formed a year ago by the members of acclaimed local acts like Abominable Carnivore, Dissector, Enmachined and Homicide. A death evoking, rotten sounding rehearsal demo was soon manifested, which was followed by an oversea live annihilation on the other side of the Bengal — Kolkata, India. With the vilest form of sound and high-powered live performances, they have marked their place as a formidable force in the realm of South Asian extreme metal music.

Earlier in the year, the band encountered with lineup issues, when the vocalist and drummer had to left the band, but that did not stop Nekrohowl from blazing fiercely; Warmonger (Warhound, Ex: Orator) as a replacement in the position of drum-hammering and Obliterator taking over the charge of vocal duty turned them as a power trio, and this incident marks a significant step forward for the band. Climbing to the peak of their powers with this monstrous lineup, the bestial trio embarked on a mini-tour, named as “Agonize and Excruciate Tour 2017”, to support Japanese death metal maestro Desecravity at their Dhaka, Kolkata and Shilong live dates.

Debut EP “Epitome of Morbid” is undeniably the most anticipating metal release from the country. With 05 tracks (including an intro), clocking in at around 20 minutes, the EP incorporates the captivating intricacy of Suffocation, sheer gruesomeness of Autopsy, belligerent tone of Immolation, vitriolic intensity of Morbid Angel, demon invoking power of Hellhammer, and malefic darkness of Dead Congregation. The song structures clearly demonstrate the members’ sole object of the exercise, and it is nothing but to play the hard-hearted form of death metal music. Whereas many contemporary old school rooted extreme metal bands from the subcontinent fail to sustain the primitive atmosphere because of the production, Nekrohowl has cautiously maintained that dark, rotten vibe of old school death metal within these tracks.

Limited number of copies of the EP will be released locally in digipak format, which will be followed by cassette issue from Malaysian label Diabolicurst Productions, and cd, cassette and vinyl release from American label Slaugherhouse Records. An EP launching gig will take place in Dhaka during the local digipak release date on 30th September, 2017.

Format:

  • Digipak CD – Self Released
  • Cassette – Diabolicurst Productions (Malaysia), Asian Release
  • CD, Cassette & Vinyl – Slaughter House Records (USA)

International and Asian releases will take place later of this year

All tracks recorded, mixed and mastered at Music Theater

Nekrohowl plays abhorrent and paroxysmal form of death metal in the uncanniest path of legendary 90's era death metal period. The troop consists of the members from some of the finest bands from Bangladesh, including Homicide, Nafarmaan, Enmachined and Warhound.

Toilet Ov Hell premiered "Mortal Incubation"  — first single from their debut upcoming EP, "Epitome of Morbid". The track can be streamed at this location.

Nekrohowl originally started as a 4-piece Death Metal band, consisting of members of some other prestigious local extreme metal band. Soon they released their menacing demo and invaded Kolkata. Currently they are active as a trio and their monstrous line-up consists of Obliterator (Homicide), Sadist (Enmachined, Nafarmaan) and Warmonger (Warhound, Ex-Orator).

Track "Mortal Incubation" will be a part of their upcoming EP, to be released within a few months.

Guitarist Obliterator States:

"The song resembles "death" as a person / entity with sheer omnipotence and ominous wrath against mortals. It is said that , the bringer of doom and darkness shall forever reign in the realm of man. The temptation to devastate human in flesh will summon ultimate excruciating."
