The return of the Portuguese Death Metal purveyors in 2020 with the EP "Born Suffer Die", released by Lusitanian Music in April, 24th, 2020. Recorded at Rock 'n' Raw studio (Lisbon) in December 2019, produced by Sacred Sin. Featuring the mastery of To Pica, former Sacred Sin guitar player back in the band, and leading the production. Get blown by chainsaw guitar tones, heavy crunchy riffs, reminding of Swedish death metal tones like Entombed, Grave, At The Gates... blend in with fantastic harmonies, shredding melodic leads and orchestrations standout adding a modern touch. Powerful big thundering drums, massive and vicious beats, crushing heavy and fast. Furious vocals growling but still clear and aggressive rhymes punch in your face, reminders of the like of old Morbid Angel meets Slayer. Sacred Sin is back with this EP, advancing the upcoming full album to be released this Fall. Line-up:
Jose Costa - vocals & bass To Pica - guitars Luis Coelho - guitars G. R. - drums https://www.facebook.com/sacredsinpt/ https://www.facebook.com/lusitanianmusic/

Portuguese Prog Rock / Metal outfit Subversive have published a video for the track "Alethea", which is the first single advance from the band's upcoming full-length "Dissonance". Watch the video for "Alethea" at this location: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3zPAQLuFWM Subversive is born from the need for creation between Miguel Mateus and Miguel Branco, creating the embryo of the themes for an album. After recording the bulk of the songs, they invited David Pais to join in the creation of vocal lines and lyrics and after that Xinês joined in the percussive wing. The result of this work, inspired by several philosophical strands and currents of thought, is given the name "Dissonance". The final result was then mixed and mastered by Daniel Cardoso (Ultrasound Studios), and the launch is scheduled for the summer of 2020. The live debut of this new project is already scheduled for the 7th of June, in the already celebrated Comendatio Music Fest, in Paço da Comenda (Tomar). Their line up features Sandra Oliveira, Tiago Lascasas, Paulo Silva, Celso Oliveira, and Ricardo Silveira. Since forming in 2010, the band's two previous releases "Identity' (2014) (Raising Legends Records) and "Theory of Perception" (2017) have garnered much praise in their home country along with securing opening slots with bands Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, Cradle of Filth, Cellar Darling, R.A.M.P. among many others established acts. In 2018, they were invited to perform at Vagos Metal Fest, one of Portugal's biggest heavy festivals. The band adds: "Our new upcoming album will still possess BZ's genome, but it will bring some fresh features you've never seen in our work. It will be heavier, darker, more progressive, and it will make the fans submerge in a turmoil of strong feelings. Fans will certainly feel our same old vibe in the songs, but recognize it has been upgraded, with a more modern sound. We worked freely, with no strings attached, using new elements, making everything sound rhythmically, harmonically and melodically intertwined. We have certainly not made things easier to ourselves, and had to evolve technically to be able to play and sing these new songs." and vocalist Sandra Oliveira also adds: "'Seethe' could very well be considered a conceptual album because the main theme of the songs is unexpressed anger, silent pain transformed into poetry. Its contradictory nature is the liberation of the soul, it's letting go of that lump on your throat when you have something to say. Each song speaks of a particular situation where the silence and the numbness become a vehicle for action and freedom or even utmost despair." "Seethe" is available for pre-order here.
