2019 will see Portuguese Death Metal beasts Okkultist unleash 'Reinventing Evil'! The up & coming band, who is the first one that inked a worldwide deal ever with Moonspell Fernando Ribeiro's new label Alma Mater Records, is set to release their brutal debut of an album Reinventing Evilon March, 15th 2019.

To kick off the new year in evil style, Okkultist are sharing the album opening track, which has just been premiered with NO CLEAN SINGING, now available on Bandcamp! Says vocalist and demoness Beatriz Mariano:-

“We chose to release “Reinventing Evil” because it’s a punch in the face — it’s a small taste of the pain we have ready to bring you!”

Taste the evil Okkultist is unleashing upon you right HERE!

Reinventing Evil was produced by Pedro Paixão (Moonspell) and the band, tracked at the Poison Apple Studios in Lisbon and amazingly mixed by Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, Moonspell, The Haunted). With a total of 8 rabid and brutal songs, the band's debut will see the light of the day via Moonspell's Fernando Ribeiro Alma Mater Records in two digipack editions. One of them will come with a limited, different artwork and it will contain a Bathory cover song 'Satan Is My Master'.

Alma Mater Records boss and Moonspell vocalist Fernando Ribeiro comments:-

“Okkultist is the kind of band the Portuguese scene needs: talented, young, focused and just fucking brutal. Portuguese Death Metal has never sounded so exciting in my ears so we can’t wait to release this beast upon you and help you to reinvent evil together with this amazing Portuguese talent."

Okkultist formed back in late 2015. Two years and memorable live shows later, their debut EP 'Eye Of The Beholder' was released by the band independently, but caught up and spread all around Europe and overseas – selling out every single printed copy.

Even at this early stage, Okkultist already had the honour to curse stages such as at Mosher Fest or Female Growler United Front in Portugal and as an opening act for legendary names such as Entombed AD. Inspired by the likes of Master, Abomination, early Morbid Angel, Death or Dismember, Okkultist pick up where impure 90's Death Metal left. Better be prepared for some infernal vibes and a deadly raw, new Death Metal brand this upcoming March, when the band will drop their new album!

Portugal's Vetala stream new Harvest Of Death album at NoCleanSinging.com

Black metal antagonists Vetala stream the entirety of their highly anticipated third album, Retarded Necro Demential Hole, at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. Set for international release on December 25th via Harvest of Death, a division of Signal Rex, hear Vetala's Retarded Necro Demential Hole in its entirety exclusively HERE.

If the raw Portuguese black metal scene has (rightfully) reaped renown or at least reverential infamy, then Vetala's third full-length strike shall be the sonic vomit to ruin everyone's day. For over a decade now, exploring the most depraved and transgressive corners of what BLACK METAL can be has marked this duo as nigh-on untouchable. Unrepentantly noisy, accidentally avant-garde, furiously FUCK OFF: although continuing the dark, disgusting work laid down by Black Circle forerunners Irae and Mons Veneris, Vetala have become an idiom unto themselves. And now, with the aptly titled Retarded Necro Demential Hole do the duo abase themselves and bow down before the all-consuming powers of ritual retardation; these four, nameless songs have no reason to exist, if only to rain faeces on good taste and any and all conceptions of "black metal." In fact, it's so beyond primitive and artlessly improvisational, so nightmarishly unhinged, one could qualify it as PRE-black metal.

2. Untitled [15:41]
3. Untitled [11:12]

Exquisitely twisted as always, clanging and crazed and amorphously wandering into landscapes far too perverse to grasp, Retarded Necro Demential Hole is the final punctuation, the last severed shred of sanity, for Portuguese black metal. This album REALLY isn't for you!

Just recently, Alma Mater Records boss and Moonspell vocalist Fernando Ribeiro stated:

“After listening to the rough mixes of what will become Reinventing Evil, I am more certain than ever that it was a very good move for Alma Mater Records to sign Okkultist and handle their debut album. Portuguese Death Metal has never sounded so exciting in my ears so we can’t wait to release this beast upon you and help you to reinvent evil together with this amazing Portuguese talent."

Portuguese metallers Destroyers Of All partner again with Mosher Records for the release of their new album "The Vile Manifesto", coming out February 2nd, 2019.

To celebrate the announcement of the new album, the band has premiered the lyric video “False Idols” as the first display of new music. “The song’s about the atrocities operated by a military unit that performed pseudo science in order to prove a point - and failed”, says the vocalist João Mateus, who clearly states “the lyric is a heartfelt tribute to all the victims of war.”

Destroyers Of All – 'False Idols' (lyric video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho6chwl49XQ

Charged with vicious riffs, voracious vocals and ear blasting drums, this record marks a new chapter for the band as it pushes the boundaries of heaviness of their sound more than ever before. As a result, this album is more violent and straight-to-the-point than the previous ones, yet without losing the creative identity that marks the band's music since its inception.

The album cover was hand drawn by legendary artist Mark Riddick, who has previously worked with bands such as Arch Enemy, Exodus, Morbid Angel, Mortician, The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation and many others.

  10. Kill The Preacher (Bonus Track) (2:44)

The new album can be pre-ordered at  www.destroyersofall.com. Several bundles are available, including different combinations of the album, merchandise and tickets for the presentation show.

"The Vile Manifesto" (2019) is the third release of the band after the debut EP "Into the Fire" (2013) and the LP "Bleak Fragments" (2016), both critically acclaimed by specialized media. The band once again chose to record the new album at the Golden Jack Studios in Portugal, also having it mixed and mastered by João Dourado.

Lifeforce Records are very happy to announce the signing of Portuguese grindcore outfit Besta to their roster.

Escaping from the dark places in the imagination, Portuguese hellions Besta take inspiration from horror movies and blend them into a frantic, feedback-laden mash-up of punk-rock and old school grindcore, imagine Bad Brains mutating alongside Napalm Death, always with their own creative vein on top of every tune they deliver, with a political axe to grind, shouted on their native Portuguese tongue.

With 9 confrontational releases since 2012, and shows alongside Eyehategod, Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, Mob 47, Cryptopsy, Possessed, Massgrave, Deathrite, Obituary, Mantar or Conan to name a few, touring between Europe and South America and solid appearances on festivals such as Obscene Extreme or Resurrection Fest.

The year 2019 set a new chapter, signing with Germany´s Lifeforce Records and the band 2nd full length album titled "Eterno Rancor", a socially conscious record from 4 guys that feeds on pulverizing and skull fracturing punk/grindcore, raucous landscapes, and honesty.

Besta features members of Sinistro and Redemptus. New album "Eterno Rancor" out March 15th, 2019

Portuguese Symphonic Death horde Dallian release debut album "Automata"

Portuguese symphonic death metal act Dallian have released their debut album via Nox Liberatio Records, in a limited quantity edition!

From the alchemical merging of “Metal” music and the aesthetics of “Steampunk”, an unlikely synthesis is born, giving rise to “Dallian”, a band hoping to fill a void in a still very underexplored fusion.

Expect the unexpected as Dallian drags you in the depths of your mind, with its twisted arrangements. From guttural to clean singing, from crushing riffs to melodic guitar leads, from the peacefulness of traditional Portuguese fado music to the chaotic frenzy of orchestral madness.

Rising in 2017 from the centre of Portugal, in the small city of Leiria, Dallian is a band with roots on a solid background of Death Metal with added virtuosity of symphonic elements, all arranged in progressive dynamics.

For fans of SepticFlesh, Carach Angren, Dimmu Borgir, and other open minded metal entities.

Portugal's Secret Chord release music video for their new song "Wraith Of Oblivion"

17/10/2018

Picture

The promising symphonic/alternative metal band from Coimbra, Secret Chord, have just released an official music video for a new original song, entitled “Wraith Of Oblivion”, that will be included on their first full-length record.

Little more than a year after releasing their debut EP “Dimensions Of A Dream”, Secret Chord astonish their fans with a brand new song. “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the title of their most recent composition, revealed last September 8th. The new song’s music video, already available on YouTube, was recorded by Marta Malva in Tentúgal (Coimbra) and Amieira (Soure) and directed and produced by Bruno Vale (PubliTV). The recording, mixing and masterization was done by João Dourado at Golden Jack Studios, in Coimbra.

You can watch the video at this location: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ycEVbl1OAQ

“Wraith Of Oblivion” is the follow-up to Secret Chord’s dramatic and melancholic approach in their music about the world they live in, a concept started with “Dimensions Of A Dream”, the four-track debut EP released on April 2017, from which the single “Set The Firestarter Ablaze” stands out due to the theme of forest fires. With “Wraith Of Oblivion”, the band intends to demonstrate that, in today’s society, every single person is compelled to accept an imposed destiny – albeit subconsciously – becoming a product of the status quo and “social normalization”.

With a powerful sound and a strong melodic support, Secret Chord continues with their symphonic metal path in “Wraith Of Oblivion”, adding some electronic elements, but always with demolishing and pulsing guitars leading the song’s progression. Raquel Subtil’s voice is once again the main attraction, having reached a whole new level of execution and interpretation, easily demonstrated by the vocal work performed during the recordings, joined by Carlos Pereira and his contrasting and aggressive contribution.

The song “Wraith Of Oblivion” is currently a part of Secret Chord’s live set. The most recent gig was in September 6th, during their hometown’s annual handicraft festival “Poiartes 2018”, where they were featured as the main act in a concert that had the special participation of the mixed choir from “Sociedade Filarmónica Lousanense” and the keyboardist João Carlos Ramalheiro, teacher and director at the “Classplash” music academy from Lousã. On October 6th, Secret Chord will be sharing the stage with Henriette B (Switzerland), Shady Gringos (UK) and portuguese bands like The Temple and Tales For The Unspoken at the “Rock dos Romanos” festival, in Condeixa-a-Nova.

On their curriculum, Secret Chord counts with gigs at venues like Metalpoint (Porto), Stairway Club (Cascais), Massas Club (Coimbra) and Cabra Negra (Marinha Grande) and shared the stage with bands like Switchtense, Midnight Priest, Terror Empire, 11th Dimension, Inner Blast and Waterland. In November of 2017, they won the first edition of ASMUSITEC Band Contest.

Secret Chord’s sound sits between symphonic and alternative metal with clear references to bands like Nightwish, Epica, Delain and Kamelot or even Evanescence and Lacuna Coil.

Secret Chord is a Portuguese symphonic metal band, from Coimbra, that was formed in 2015 by Raquel Subtil on main vocals, Jorge Oliveira on guitars and back vocals, Bruno “EkID” Marques on bass guitar and back vocals and Afonso Martins on drums. In 2016, João Conceição (Stigma Sphere) took the role of lead guitarist, right when the recordings for their debut EP “Dimensions Of A Dream” started. This record was released in April 15th 2017, exactly one year after their first live appearance.
During the spring of 2017, Secret Chord suffers a line-up change with Jorge’s exit. Carlos Pereira (Mortem Tales, Dark Oath) took his place as rhythm guitarist and back vocalist. At the start of 2018 and after showing their work at several venues around the country, the band decides that it was time to record a new song and a music video. “Wraith Of Oblivion” is the title of the new single, released in September 8th 2018, that will be included on their future full-length record.
