Germany's currently most successful heavy metal band, Powerwolf, has extended their deal with renowned label Napalm Records. Guitarist Matthew Greywolf states:- "We are pleased to inform you that we have extended our great collaboration with the Napalm Records team. To have people behind us that help to spread the word of metal with know-how, energy and — above all — passion is great." Napalm Records' CEO Markus Riedler adds:- "We already achieved so much with Powerwolf, it's excellent that we can continue our good and trustful cooperation with the band. They have everything to grow further and eventually be accepted to the Hall Of Fame of metal." The story of Powerwolf, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of one of the most hard working and entertaining live bands on the heavy metal planet. Powerwolf has not only received plenty of Gold and Platinum awards to date, numerous releases have entered the official album charts at the pole position #1. With Blessed & Possessed (2015), Powerwolf achieved Gold status for the first time and stayed at the Top of the charts for more than nine weeks, while the predecessor, Preachers Of The Night (2013) – as well as the incredible DVD, The Metal Mass (2016) – hit the official German album charts at #1. Powerwolf's holy mass in the name of heavy metal is unstoppable, their latest magnum opus, The Sacrament of Sin (2018), again entered the album charts at #1. The accompanying Wolfsnächte tour, in which Powerwolf headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances, became a single major triumph - as well as the numerous summer festival shows in which the crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the ‘wolf. While the high priests of metal celebrated their 15th band anniversary last year, expect many more great things to come from PowerwolfF in 2020! Vocalist Chiara Tricarico comments about the song: “This song is a classical power metal track with a beautiful piano part and a super-fast solo.” The track features Davide Lovecchio as special guest on the lead guitar. “No More” is available as digital single at all major online stores, paired with an official audio track on YouTube. Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s novel The Raven, the Milan, Italy, based band was originally formed in 2007 by keyboardist and composer Davide Scuteri (Choirs Of Veritas). After several years of activity, which included a self-titled demo, the band went on a brief hiatus, re-grouping in 2016 when singer Chiara Tricarico (Sound Storm, Moonlight Haze), drummer Michele Olmi (Chronosfear, Skeleeton) and bass/guitar player Cesare Ferrari (Choirs Of Veritas) joined the band, in order to create a one-time studio album that embodies the whole history of the band. With Transcendence, RAVENWORD captures the romantic and decadent poetic themes typical of Edgar Allan Poe’s period, combined with an equally decadent symphonic metal sound. In line with RAVENWORD’s ode to poetry, the title Transcendence was chosen to symbolize the idea of always going beyond one’s perception of reality and seeking deeper meanings. www.rockshots.eu www.facebook.com/ravenword Symphonic power metal band Ravenword has signed a worldwide deal with Rockshots Records to release their one-time studio album, Transcendence, on January 31. Bleeding Moon www.rockshots.eu www.facebook.com/ravenword Finland's melodic death superstars Children of Bodom have released an official animated video for the title track of their latest album, Hexed. The RMIT University in Australia spent the last 15 weeks working on the video, with producers Aaron McLoughlin and Simon Norton spending around 3000 working hours with their team to create the video. Check it out here: youtu.be/oDeH1XJ9Tzo Aaron states:- "As always, we like to come up with something that suits what the band is all about, so we drew inspiration from the song lyrics as well as the monochromatic imagery found in Children of Bodom’s videos and album art. We decided a black and white horror film would be cool - set on a lake, of course! And we had to include a Roy cameo appearance, obviously! Although Hexed is a fast track, it’s also particularly measured in the way it plays out over the 5-minute duration, so part of the fun was crafting a cinematic narrative that flows with the amazing technical precision of the music. The animation students at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia are some of the most talented rising stars in the world, and I think they’ve done a terrific job on this project. Animating metal videos is such a fun thing to do at university, and the team felt very honoured creating this film for Children of Bodom." Bassist Henkka adds: “It’s such a cool thing to have a video of one my favourite tracks of the album. And the fact it’s made by Aaron and his 25 students in Australia is even cooler. The black and white calm mood suits perfectly to this not-so-calm song. The lake and it’s reflection makes a perfect ending for it." Credits:

The band manages to give the original glam metal track by Teaze an unexpected, modern power metal twist. Combining that with an astonishingly wide range of vocal melodies, Unleash The Archers surprise and bewitch the listener yet again. A clean guitar intro makes you feel almost melancholic, but when the second chorus hits, at the very least, you’ll be tapping your foot. “Heartless World” describes how everything can become too much from time to time, and that sometimes all you need is to unplug and recharge your energy. Watch the lyric video accompanying the single below and lose yourself in an FM headphone high! Watch The Lyric Video For “Heartless World” HERE: Unleash The Archers on “Heartless World”, fresh off the new EP Explorers: “The second single is a cover of a song by a Canadian hair metal band from the 80's called Teaze. They are not super well known, but that's why we gravitated towards them. The song “Heartless World” has a really interesting arrangement and can't seem to decide if it's a ballad or a rock opera. Unlike “Northwest Passage”, where we played around with it quite a bit, we left “Heartless World” almost completely as is, and only changed a few small things like solos and vocal melodies. We thought it would be a great companion piece to “Northwest Passage” and really round out the moody Explorers vibe.” Buy The New EP Explorers HERE!
