Spanish Symphonic Metallers Diabulus In Musica release new single "Otoi"; new album 'Euphonic Entropy' out 14th February 2020
Symphonic metal quartet Diabulus In Musica has just released the power ballad, “Otoi”, the first single fresh off their forthcoming studio album, Euphonic Entropy. The long-player is to be released via Napalm Records on February 14, 2020 and takes the listener on a wild ride through time, emotions and genres. Beautiful classical elements paired with heart-warming symphonic metal melodies, as well as heavy guitar riffs and smashing drums, traverse all throughout their upcoming album.
Diabulus In Musica’s new single stands out due to Zuberoa Aznárez’ extraordinary vocals and keyboarder Gorka Elso’s powerful growls, paired with lyrics written entirely in the Basque language. The video for “Otoi” perfectly mirrors the mystical, grounded feeling the track conveys. Beautiful landscapes, wistful and equally unsettling parts, as well as amazing close-ups of Zuberoa and Gorka complete the overall aesthetic of the video.
Diabulus In Musica on the new single and video:-
"Otoi is a special song to us because it is entirely sung in Basque, our local language, one of the oldest languages in Europe and the only Proto-Indo-European one that is still alive. “Otoi” means ‘prayer’, in this case to the ancient gods of Basque mythology: Urtzi and Amari who represent the sky and its mother, the Earth, respectively. It is a kind of lament around the loss of our cultural identity throughout the time due to different threats. The video was recorded in a 16th century Basque farmhouse which is now a key heritage object of the region.”

Euphonic Entropy is Diabulus In Musica’s fifth studio album and their fourth to be released via Napalm Records. The band is back with their heaviest album to date and continue their way to the top, while still retaining their roots.
Diabulus In Musica on Euphonic Entropy:-
"After three intense years, we’re finally back with probably our heaviest and most convincing album so far. We can’t wait to share the new songs with you all! We think they are fresh, diverse, energetic and a new step in DIM's history. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our very first album than coming back with our strongest effort.”

You can listen to "Tyrants", the first single advance, right here: https://youtu.be/Gur4aDtVn2w

And Stay in the Streets" in 2016, all of them independently while building a small name within the national heavy metal scene.
In 2017, Street Lethal changed drummer and incorporated a second guitarist, completing the current line-up that recorded its debut full-length album entitled "Welcome to the Row", obtaining a record deal with Fighter Records for the worldwide promotion and distribution.
Street Lethal plays a fresh and powerful heavy metal sound with catchy riffs, vibrant guitar solos, a great attitude and the amazing voice of Hell Rose Lethal, where they merge classic influences in the vein of JUDAS PRIEST, W.A.S.P., WARLOCK and IRON MAIDEN with modern sounds in the tradition SKULL FIST, STRIKER, CAULDRON or STALLION, something that will surely please any lover of good heavy metal.
Bristling with an epically baroque life and energy, Finland’s multi-Platinum cello-rockers Apocalyptica have unveiled their brand new single ‘Ashes Of The Modern World.’ The song is taken from Cell-0, their upcoming ninth studio album, released on January 10th via Silver Lining Music.
The powerful video was directed by the award-winning Finnish photographer/videographer Ville Juurikkala who has worked with a wide variety of prominent artists from Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith to opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
The recording of Cell-0 followed a four-year break between albums that gave the band - Eicca Toppinen, Perttu Kivilaakso, Paavo Lötjönen, and Mikko Sirén, all of whom are classically-trained musicians - a fresh perspective and affected the way they approached the new music. The album sees them return to their roots and is the quartet’s first instrumental album in 17 years, finding Apocalyptica challenging themselves to discover new flavours and colours in their respective instruments.
“It is tough to express without lyrics, but in Cell-0, we found particles of our universe previously unknown to us,” they explained. “Millions of notes combine to create music just as millions of cells combine to create life, and when you visualize the whole thing, similar patterns appear.”
Produced by Apocalyptica, mixed by Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Metallica and Black Sabbath), and recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Cell-0 sees the band soaring into ethereal space on ‘Ashes Of The Modern World,’ while diving head-first into aggressive thrash cello-riffery during ‘En Route To Mayhem.’
Rather than put strategic attention on aspects like writing singles, the band approached Cell-0 as a fully-formed piece of art, connecting the right details and hues with the energy of being a real cello-metal band. By pushing themselves to find other places and levels in their music, Apocalyptica opened up to some seemingly unorthodox methods and emotions while travelling through that creative process.
“These new songs have so many layers and are so complex, and it’s not always easy to point exactly what they are about,” Toppinen expresses. “But I think that’s also the beauty of instrumental music, that the listener always can feel free to experience the same songs in very, very different ways. It’s also one reason why we don’t want to explain the songs before they’re experienced.”
In support of the release of Cell-0, Apocalyptica will Special Guest with Sabaton on a 15-country, 23-date European arenas tour, including an appearance at Wembley Arena on February 8th 2020. All confirmed dates are below.

Obscure is one of the first death metal bands that emerged on the Spanish scene back in 1988 and "Darkness Must Prevail" means the band's return to the label that, then under the name of Repulse Records, released its second demo "Curse the Course" recorded in December 1990 and released in January 1991. In 2016, Xtreem Music released a CD entitled "Back to Skull", which included the band's three demos. This new album keeps 4 of the 5 original members (except the vocalist) and has been mixed and mastered at Unisound Studios by Dan Swanö, keeping the style that the band practised before their split in 1994 intact; heavy and dark death metal with strong Nordic reminiscences. Cover art has been done by artist Remy Cooper from Headplit Design.
