Spanish death metal pioneers Necrophiliac have just signed to Xtreem Music for the release of their long-awaited sophomore album, which comes 27 years after their legendary debut "Chaopula - Citadel of Mirrors", released back in 1992 by the pre-Xtreem Music label, Drowned Productions. This new album is being recorded and is set to be finished by the end of the year. Release date is planned for February 2020. Necrophiliac emerged in 1988 and recorded 5 demos before releasing their classic debut album "Chaopula - Citadel of Mirrors" in 1992, becoming a genre milestone within the Spanish death metal scene. The band dissolved a year later, and returned in 2016 coinciding with the Xtreem Music re-issue of their album in a 2-CD set with all their demos, under the title of "Maze of Forking Paths". Since then, the band has been offering selected shows within the Spanish territory and writing new songs for what will be their second full-length, which is being recorded by Jesús "Punti" Montilla in the Sonic Banana Studios and will be mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios. The cover art will be a conceptual work created by the artist Artem Grigoryev. The current line-up of Necrophiliac has four of the original members: Bongo (vocals) Ery (guitar) Miguel (guitar) Sweick (drums) Plus the newly incorporated bassist Ramón. The new album will be available in CD and 12 "LP. Watch a live video from 2017: https://youtu.be/GH9l6obbbGI More details to be announced soon. Spanish melodic Death Metal band In Thousand Lakes have just revealed the cover art, tracklist and 1st advance single of what will be their new 7-song EP that will be entitled "Evolution" which will be released through Xtreem Music next September 25th. Emerged in 1996, In Thousand Lakes are perhaps the leading band within the national melodic Death Metal scene. Releasing their 1st demo in '96 and their 1st album in '98, the band stopped their activity until 2014 when they released a comeback EP and in 2017, their 2nd album "Age of Decay" came out through Xtreem Music which is also releasing this new EP "Evolution". "Evolution" contains 6 new tracks and a cover version of the classic "Breaking the Chains" by Dokken in which they have the collaboration with a guitar solo by Pedro J. Monge (VHÄLDEMAR) and vocalist Leire Tejada. This new work has been registered at Chromaticity Studios (VHÄLDEMAR, VALKYRIA, RISE TO FALL...) and in it we find quite varied compositions where the band influences range from European melodic Death Metal, through Heavy, to Thrash Metal, Progressive... Release date for "Evolution" will be September 25th through Xtreem Music on CD format.
You can visit In Thousand Lakes' official Facebook here: www.facebook.com/inthousandlakesband and listen to the 1st advance single on the following links: https://youtu.be/z3i2hYLaZ5c http://soundcloud.com/xtreemmusic Fighter Records is proud to announce the signing of Ankhara, one of the most legendary Spanish Heavy Metal bands from he 90's, for the international release of their acclaimed 4th album "Sinergia", originally released for the Spanish market, and which will now be released with 3 bonus on CD and also limited vinyl version on 12 "LP. Ankhara returned after fourteen years of recording silence presenting her 4th studio album "Sinergia". In this new album, the guys from Madrid recover the essence of their first two works in favour of an authentic and revamped sound, which tastes to Power and Hard Rock, but above all, Heavy Metal. A raw and straight album that some media have already stated to be "their most aggressive work to date"; in which the voice of Pacho Brea is reminiscent of "Rob Halford or Ripper Owens"; and with the guitar solos of Cecilio and Alberto being described simply as "epic". The power of the double bass drum by Matt de Vallejo and the elegance of Sergio's bass is also said to complete "a rounded disc". "Sinergia" has been recorded by a lineup close to the original, in which Matt de Vallejo (037 Leo, Zero3iete) replaces Jesús Alcalde. Guitars and vocals have been recorded at José Rubio's Meiga Sound Studios (José Andrëa and Uróboros, ex-Warcry); drums at Andy C.'s Cadillac Blood (Lords of Black, ex-Saratoga, ex-Dark Moor) and the bass at Mojo Road. The mixing and mastering have been made at Cube Madrid by Alberto Seara (Sôber, Mägo de Oz) and the cover is the work of Fernando 'Nanderas'. International release date for Ankhara's "Sinergia" will be 18th of September 2019 through Fighter Records on CD & 12"LP formats. This new album has just been recorded and it's in the process of being mixed, with its launch planned for the next month of October. Golgotha emerged in 1992 from the union between its two legendary original members: the guitarist Vicente Payá (UNBOUNDED TERROR) and the vocalist Amón López, who are still the alma mater of the band with the new drummer Tomeu Crespí. The 1st EP "Caves of Mind" was indeed the 1st release of Repulse Records, previous label to Xtreem Music, which closes the circle 25 years later! The new album, which will contain 8 tracks in the vein of his 1st album "Melancholy", is being recorded and mixed in the Psychosomatic Recording Studio by producer Miguel Angel Riutort "Mega", and the band plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign one month before the official release, where they will offer a series of limited editions on CD, vinyl and T-shirts, which will be announced in due time. Golgotha plans to offer a series of live performances to present the new album after its release. In addition to the official Facebook site, www.facebook.com/GolgothaOfficialBand, Golgotha is premiering today their new official website www.golgothaofficial.com where all the information regarding the band is concentrated. Soon we will reveal details about the new album once the process of recording and design of the cover art is completed. This single is the second of their latest work 'Malice Murder', which was released on 18th October 18, 2018. The band already announced that this new work has damned souls that can’t escape from hell as inspiration, and they have captured this essence in this song and video, which is a descent into hell. This is the darkest work of SynlakrosS so far. The song hasa frantic rhythm and a catchy melody that tells us the story and the pain of a tormented soul, a young girl caught in terror who seeks her brother to escape with him, but it is impossible, they are in hell. An explosive theme, with strong rhythms, with Melodic Death Metal base but with the characteristic personal touch of the band. The video was made by Sergio Mangas Murcia and Bárbara Navarro Soler, the team that made their video 'Colony'; has gathered more than a million and a half views, being the most watched video of 2018 from a Spanish Metal band. They have depicted the atmosphere of the theme through very careful photography, as well as costumes and props that come to life thanks to a good acting cast. Link to the video: https://youtu.be/5LI3DmJoXUU The audio has been produced and edited by Facundo Novo (Novo Estudios), who produced the third album of the band. www.synlakross.com https://www.youtube.com/user/SynlakrossChannel https://www.facebook.com/SynlakrosS/ https://www.instagram.com/synlakross/ Spanish technical death metal masters Wormed are now releasing the brand new track and details of their upcoming EP 'Metaportal'. The EP is set for worldwide release on July 19, 2019. The new sci-fi offering 'Remote Void' is now streaming via the official Season of Mist Youtube Channel at the link below which can be freely spread. Link: - https://youtu.be/9TwlPMrQYQ8 Wormed commented on the track: "Entering the Metaportal. A nano technological war has been unleashed in the void to defeat the last sower of human life, Krighsu. In a desperate attempt to help a galactic system in danger, Krighsu must access the vast Metaportal, what he doesn't know yet is the reason for its existence." Out of respect for drummer G-Calero, who recently passed away, the photo above is the latest of the band.
Space – the final frontier. Yet, when Wormed reach out into the void, the results sounds far more like a dark space opera inhabited by bizarre aliens, genetically and technically evolved meta-humans struggling for power and survival in galactic empires. Now, the nano-technological war has been unleashed in the void to defeat the last sower of human life, Krighsu! Odd-time signatures, avalanches of breaks and complex rhythmical as well as melodic patterns will excite every aficionado of extreme technicality, while growls down-tuned strings and double-bass assaults will more than satisfy extreme metal connoisseurs. While being outstandingly skilled musicians Wormed are avoiding any self-indulgent show of prowess for its own sake. Instead the five-piece from Madrid clearly lays its emphasis on creating atmospheric songs, which develop and grow along the underlying story. Originating from Spain's capital Madrid in 1998, Wormed immediately made an impact in the death metal scene with the release of their 'Floating Cadaver in the Monochrome' MCD (1999). Following a promo CD under the title 'Voxel Mitosis' (2001), the first studio album 'Planisphaerium' received high acclaim by critics and fans alike in 2003. In the wake of their debut full-length, the Spanish received invitations to international festival shows and touring around the globe. Wormed performed in Japan alongside Goratory and Vomit Remnants and afterwards hit Europe with Malignancy and Despondency. A creative hiatus, partly due to line-up changes and filled with re-issues of their previous released as well as the single 'Quasineutrality' (2010) finally ended, when their sophomore album 'Exodromos' came out in 2013. On their third full-length 'Krighsu' (2016), the fast-rising Spanish Sci-Fi tech death prodigies are telling a dystopian cosmic story with lyrics and music joined into an overarching concept. Its intense brutality, dissonant dynamic riffing, and tremendous heaviness combined with an amazing futuristic concept, which introduced the character Krighsu – last human in the cosmos, harvested top reviews and saw Wormed headlining in the US and co-headlining in Europe. Now Wormed are ready to explore the cosmos even further by entering the 'Metaportal', while climbing to even more mind-blowing musical heights. Prepare to experience the universe in the light and sound of a new aeon dawning! The song represents the first new material from the New Zealand based metal trio since releasing their 2018 debut album, Tū. Fans can check out the music video for "Ahi Kā" via the link below. The track is also featured on Adult Swim's new, streaming-only compilation record Metal Swim 2. Alien Weaponry's singer-guitarist Lewis de Jong talks about "Ahi Ka" (Which, like many of the band's songs, is sung in New Zealand's indigenous language of Te Reo Māori):- "Ahi Kā was inspired by the Auckland city council's decision to burn down what was considered to be the unsightly indigenous Maori village of Okahu Bay in advance of Queen Elizabeth II's 1953 visit. The eviction sparked a 40-year battle for the native Ngati Whatua to reclaim their land, including protests and battles with the police. Amid worldwide criticism, a small portion of the original land was ultimately returned with an apology and some compensation." Watch "Ahi Ka" HERE "Ahi Kā" is available for streaming and purchase through Spotify and iTunes (respectively) over HERE! Fans and music critics alike have applauded the band's approach to unifying Te Reo Māori (the native language of New Zealand) with thrash metal sensibilities; ultimately creating a sound that is driven by emotionally and politically charged conflict while boasting youthful, warrior-like resilience. Both Lewis and Henry are of Ngati Pikiāo and Ngati Raukawa (Māori tribal) descent, and began their schooling at a kura kaupapa Māori (full immersion Māori language school) where singing waiata (songs) and performing haka were a daily routine. Also ingrained in their early education were stories of New Zealand history told to them by their father, who would also introduce them to the music of Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Anthrax, Ministry, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many others. Alien Weaponry was formed in 2010 by brothers Lewis (vocals & guitar) and Henry de Jong (drums), who were 8 and 10 years old at the time. The two would later move to the small town of Waipu in 2012, and went on to meet Ethan Trembath (bass) there in 2013. The de Jong brothers came up with the name Alien Weaponry after watching the film District 9. Alien Weaponry have also been nominated for "Best International Breakthrough Band" at the 2019 Heavy Music Awards (UK). The event takes place on August 22nd at the O2 Forum Kentish Town in London. This new album is in the process of composition, having planned its recording for this summer and will be released during the autumn of this year. Unbounded Terror is one of the most legendary Spanish death metal bands, having the honor of releasing the first national death metal album on vinyl LP as well as CD and cassette. After two more demos in '92 and '93, the band split up, seeing as its leader, guitarist Vicente Payá, forming Golgotha. In 2011, Xtreem Music re-released on CD Nest of Affliction along with all its demos and is now, at the beginning of 2019, when Vicente Payá decided to reform the band and continue that indelible legacy of death metal in its purest form. In the new line-up of Unbounded Terror, Vicente Payá will combine his work on guitar with also vocalist, alternating with Albis, also guitar/ voice and accompanied by Andrew on bass and Portas on drums. With this new line-up, the band will record the new album this summer and will offer its first live show in 25 years at the next edition of the Iberian Warriors Metal Fest on the third day of the festival that will take place on September 29th in Zaragoza with Pestilence, the legendary Spanish blackers Ouija, and Legacy of Brutality. In future statements, we will confirm details about the new album, but it seems that Juanjo Castellano will take over the cover art and Dan Swanö will be mixing and mastering. www.facebook.com/unboundedterror www.xtreemmusic.com www.facebook.com/xtreemmusic666 www.xtreemmusic.bandcamp.com www.youtube.com/xtreemmusic www.twitter.com/xtreemmusic666 www.soundcloud.com/xtreemmusic |
