“Ancient Forces” is the debut studio album of Russian Symphonic Power Metal band Antillia. The sound of this record combines the vigor of Power metal and the sonority of symphonic orchestrations made by the Belgian composer Maliki Ramia. The whole epic sound is complimented with Alexander Kolesov’s forceful tenor and Elena Belova’s delicate soprano. The album is dedicated to the fantasy themes. Stories of magic, love and epic battles will take the listener to a whole new world, where the Ancient Forces, woken up by the narrators, might bring the salvation as well as the devastation. For fans of: Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, Therion, Catharsis, Эпидемия. See it here http://www.delain.nl http://www.facebook.com/delainmusic Dutch symphonic metallers Epica have launched the first episode of their latest studio documentary. The documentary gives a behind the scenes look at the recording process of the band's sixth studio album, The Quantum Enigma. It also previews the first music from the upcoming album. Check out the clip over on the Nuclear Blast YouTube channel. The band recorded "The Quantum Enigma" together with upcoming producer Joost van den Broek at the Sandlane Recording Facilities in the Netherlands. The album has been mixed by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Hatesphere). Where the 2013 Retrospect performance reflected on a decade as one of the leading bands in the symphonic metal scene, the upcoming sixth studio album "The Quantum Enigma" marks the beginning of a new Epica: modern, heavy and without compromises. Guitar player Isaac Delahaye had this to say: "The whole process of writing and recording TQE was extremely refreshing for us. Instead of preparing the album in our home studios separately, we rehearsed the songs together in the studio. Just like any other band, you could say, but as Epica is located in 3 different countries this is a little more complicated for us. The direct interaction between us has certainly lifted up the quality of the songs, as no detail was left unspoken. Definitely worth taking some time off from touring! As far as songwriting goes, the main focus was groove and melody." "The Quantum Enigma" will be released on May 2nd (Europe), May 5th (UK) and May 13th (USA) through Nuclear Blast. Celtic / Symphonic Metal vocalist Leah welcomes fans to help fund her new full-length album!11/2/2014 If you've heard any of Leah’s music, you know it is her passion. You may have heard about Leah as the female vocalist who featured Eric Peterson (Testament / Dragonlord) as a guest vocalist on her latest EP, "Otherworld", or perhaps you heard that Leah is singing all the female choirs on the new Dragonlord album. Obviously, Leah is always working on something new, so it’s no shock that Leah is ready for her next project. The one thing that an artist really needs in order to produce a great sounding record, print merch, tour, etc. is money, and while Leah keeps her family as her #1 priority (she is a home-school mother), she is hoping to complete her full-length album soon, and needs help from her fans. Visit her Indiegogo.com page here Leah states, “Already, I have much material to sort through and refine, and in the process I usually end up writing even better songs and nix a few others (this always happens!). I've begun to flesh out a theme for the album content, the visualization (which will affect the photography and art), and more. I'm very excited about where this next album will take me - and you!” She adds, “My main thing has been along the lines of Symphonic Rock / Metal with Celtic and Folk undertones or overtones. I will be staying along these lines, but always pushing forward. There will be some interesting players on this next one, and I think it will take me into new territory!” With only a few days into the campaign, Leah is currently around the $4,500 mark, and is looking to raise a total of $25,000. Perks offered for donation include digital downloads of the new album pre-release date, a CD + t-shirt, a super-duper merch pack, a personalized cover song, and more! In many circles, Leah is described as a Celtic vocal goddess and the “Enya of Heavy Metal”. From the coast of British Columbia, Canada, auburn-haired symphonic metal artist Leah is drawing attention from all over the globe. Inspired by Celtic and world music influences such as Clannad and Enya to European symphonic and progressive metal influences, Leah creates something magical and refreshing. Her debut self-released album "Of Earth & Angels" received international critical acclaim, including landing on “The Best Symphonic Metal Album” Metalstorm Awards for 2012. Leah’s currently available release "Otherworld" is a 5-song Celtic Metal masterpiece, mixed by Christian "Moschus" Moos at Spacelabe in Germany (Delain, Everon, Imperia, www.spacelab-studio.com), and mastered at Eroc's Mastering Ranch (http://www.eroc.de). You can buy Leah’s recently released "Otherworld" EP now via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Rdio and several other digital retailers. Take a listen to her single ‘Dreamland’ (featuring Testament / Dragonlord’s Eric Peterson) now at Leah’s official Bandcamp page. Kent's most fabled Symphonic Black Metallers The Furious Horde are proud to announce the unveiling of their latest music video "For The Horde" GMA spoke to Rachael Gater, guitarist of The Furious Horde to get the low down behind this sensational masterpiece: "We at The Furious Horde are incredibly excited about "For The Horde", our new track and music video. The track / video is a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the band and the friendships surrounding it. We filmed in two separate sessions; the first day, we filmed the band shots at the Red Lion in Gravesend. They have a bunker at the back of the beer garden which was perfect! There was water dripping from the ceiling and walls, and it was freezing. If you look hard at the video, you can see Ruptured_Souls' cold breath! (He wears the least out of the members, too!) The second day, we filmed with the incredible zombie (Colin Stubbs) and Ruptured_Souls in the basement of our friend Ryan Wigley (bassist / vocalist of Dark Theory - also another Kent band, who plays Symphonic Black / Gothic Metal). Filming was a lot of fun. There were a lot of shenanigans involved, but we worked very hard too! Luke Foxwell (Alienated Films) was a pleasure to work with, and we are incredibly thankful to him for his great work. He captured our fabulous and sexy appeal superbly, haha! This new track is very special to us; a landmark of the distance we have travelled and a taster of what is to follow. We believe that our next album will be our strongest! Thank you for taking the time to talk to us, GMA!" https://www.facebook.com/TheFuriousHorde https://www.facebook.com/DarkTheoryBand?ref=ts&fref=ts Italian symphonic metal band Norhod just released their video for the song "Fading with the Dark" taken from their massive debut album "The Blazing Lily".
