Richmond's hard-partying, thrash metal maniacs Municipal Waste will release their massively-anticipated 7th studio album, "Electrified Brain," on July 1st via Nuclear Blast. Now, the band has revealed the shocking cover artwork by James Bousema, track listing and the deadly single "Grave Dive." Stream "Grave Dive" Single: https://municipalwaste.bfan.link/grave-dive "Electrified Brain" marks Municipal Waste's first album in 5 years, following the release of their critically exalted 2017 record "Slime and Punishment." And don't think they've slowed down in the years since. “We’re not writing any love ballads to sell records,” affirms vocalist Tony Foresta. “We’re just doing what we’ve always done since the band started—and that’s try to write loud, fast, and ripping hardcore punk metal. We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority.” Recorded in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Code Orange), "Electrified Brain" is a high-voltage non-stop masterclass of neck-snapping thrash that'd be the ideal soundtrack for high-speed car chases and backyard steel cage matches as witnessed on the new track "Grave Dive." “It’s in the vein of songs like ‘Headbanger Face Rip’ and ‘Wave of Death’,” Tony notes. “It’s an inspirational song for our fans to cause bodily harm to themselves, but in a loud and healthy way, of course.”
Municipal Waste maintain course as vicious and vital as ever on 2022’s Electrified Brain [Nuclear Blast] as heard on tracks like "Grave Dive," "High Speed Steel" and "Crank The Heat." Recorded during the pandemic in Philadelphia with producer Arthur Rizk [Power Trip, Code Orange], the sessions would be the first time the band reunited in person after a year. Together, they achieved “a thicker and heavier sound.” In the end, "Electrified Brain" will give you everything you’d want from a Municipal Waste record or heavy metal record, period. “We hope you walk away with some bloody ears, blown speakers, pissed off parents, black eyes, and a healthy distrust of authority,” says Tony. https://www.facebook.com/Municipalwaste

Atlanta, Georgia mathcore upstarts, The Callous Daoboys, have joined MNRK Heavy for the release of their impending new full-length! A recklessly free-spirited collective, The Callous Daoboys is made of six members, featuring a violinist and multiple vocal contributions. Together they deliver a vibrant combination of mathcore, sasscore, and post-hardcore -- a sound that is at once abrasive, chaotic, and classy. Revelling in high-strung extremity their music is dense, impenetrable, and chaotic yet confusingly inviting as each song deliriously swerves across stylistic lines. The band Kill Your Stereo called “insane, intricate, and impressive” introduced themselves to the underground with 2019’s Die On Mars. In celebration of The Callous Daoboys union with MNRK Heavy, the band unveils their new single and video, “A Brief Article Regarding Time Loops.” The track marks a triumphant return and artistic leap forward from their previous material, careening through fractures of abstract and heavy, flaunting their unhinged chaos without sacrificing accessibility. The band’s use of expanded soundscapes is complimentary to their spastic, hook-driven approach to writing, creating a truly unique style of mathcore. Elaborates vocalist Carson Pace of the track, “Capturing your first experience of Déjà vu? Have you heard this breakdown before? Does it matter? What are the intentions of man’s best friend? Start over." Catch The Callous Daoboys live this June on tour with Limbs and Greyhaven. The journey will commence on June 3rd in Amityville, New York and run through June 24th in Chicago, Illinois. See all confirmed dates below. Stand by for more news on The Callous Daoboys to be revealed in the weeks to come. The Callous Daoboys w/ Limbs, Greyhaven:

Motionless In White announce new album "Scoring The End Of The World" + share "Cyberhex" video13/3/2022 Motionless In White have announced their anxiously awaited new full-length album, "Scoring The End Of The World", set for release on June 10, 2022. It is available to pre-save on all streaming platforms today with exclusive merch bundles available for pre-order in the band's official store. To herald its arrival, the Scranton, PA quintet have also shared the first single "Cyberhex," which is available on all streaming platforms and joined by an official music video directed by the band's guitarist Ricky Olson and Logan Beaver — now live on the band's official YouTube channel. Vocalist Chris Motionless elaborated on the ambitious new project stating: "'Cyberhex' is my love letter to you, our fans, for everything you have done for me over the course of some of the most mentally taxing few years I've had to go through. At times where I felt like my world was ending, as well as the world around us, it was always in my mind that I was able to turn to the special relationship we have created together for help, and I cannot thank you enough for that. Outside of my own personal experiences, it has been equally as fulfilling to me to see that in the face of tireless forces that continue to try and perpetuate hatred and negativity towards so many of us coexisting on this planet, we have all stood together to resist and fight back knowing that love and compassion will always prevail. We ARE the resistance. We ARE Cyberhex. I love you. Thank you." On "Cyberhex," an ominous synth melody snaps like the click of a trigger into a pummelling glitchy guitar riff as vocalist Chris Motionless warns, "There's no tomorrow." His apocalyptic verses give way to a robotic sample, "Initiate Cyberhex," before the cataclysmically catchy chorus takes hold. Strings pierce the militaristic bridge, and screams cut through the chaos. In what may be their most cinematic visual yet, the story of the song comes to life on-screen under Olson's deft direction. "Scoring The End Of The World" fully encompasses the expanse of the band's dynamic, deep, and dark vision, and marks the band's first full-length body of work in three years since 2019's Disguise. The latter has quietly made a major impact on rock music and culture. The single "Another Life" stands out as their most-streamed song ever with over 23 million YouTube views on the music video. The record claimed a spot on Loudwire's "50 Best Metal Albums of 2019," plus it ignited the creative renaissance that would set the stage for the statement-making Scoring The End of the World. Last year, Motionless In White unleashed the standalone single "Timebomb." It has gathered 5.7 million Spotify streams and 1.6 million YouTube views on the music video. https://www.facebook.com/motionlessinwhite Following on from their well received EPs, Burial Grounds and Death Eater, New Hampshire’s Wretched Tongues are now ready to unleash their full length debut album. Featuring nine songs of unbelievable heaviness, shocking impact and breath taking ingenuity "Ulter Praefinitum" sees Wretched Tongues outstripping their previous releases in every department with accomplished ease. This is where their story really begins. This is where the fury is unleashed in a firestorm of audio violence. To describe the songs that make up "Ulter Praefinitum" as ‘heavy’ is to make a crass understatement of indescribable proportions. The riffs that form the foundations of sonic assaults like ‘Into The Nothing’ hit you with a physical force, a blow that you can feel in your bones. You’ll be checking yourself for bruises after the mighty ‘To Witness The Infinite’ gets through with you. Yet there is more to "Ulter Praefinitum" than sheer power, even though power on these levels is enough in itself. These superlative songs also deliver atmosphere, intricate moments of class that live long in the memory, crafted hooks that will draw you back into the punishing maelstrom time and again. Each moment of "Ulter Praefinitum" has been finely crafted and designed – designed to destroy without question, but designed all the same. This is no haphazard collection of bludgeoning beatdowns; this is top level extreme music – formidable in intensity and creativity. Now united with the experience and reach of Vicious Instinct Records, Wretched Tongues are ready to open fire on the world. When "Ulter Praefinitum" is unleashed in all its glory on March 18th, with its stunning Caelan Stokkermans (Vesperian Sorrow, Vomit The Soul, Abiotic etc) artwork and colossal Key Recordings (I, The Breather, Reflections, False Images etc) production, mix and master, you better run for cover, because no-one stays standing in the face of this deathcore artillery barrage.. Light The Torch — Howard Jones [vocals], Francesco Artusato [guitar] and Ryan Wombacher [bass] — are kicking off 2022 in a massive way. The band has just shared the video for "Death of Me." Watch it here. The song appears on the band's latest album, You Will Be the Death of Me, out now through Nuclear Blast. "'Death of Me' is a song dedicated to that one single person or habit you can't shake," Jones explains. "A slow death hurts so much more. Ramon [Boutviseth] did a great job with directing this video and we hope you enjoy it. We're excited to play the song for all of you on the 'Atonement' tour, which starts today!” [started 28th Jan] As mentioned by Jones, Light the Torch's tour with Killswitch Engage and August Burns Red kicks off tonight, January 28, in Pittsburgh. Reunited thrashers Mantic Ritual have unveiled a visualizer video for their cover of Mercyful Fate's classic, “Black Funeral.” The track is the B-side of the 7-inch vinyl release for their recently-revealed single, “Crusader.” The limited-edition of 300 collector’s 7-inch vinyl with “Crusader” - the band's first new music in 12 years from the reunited group featuring original members Dan Wetmore (vocals/guitars), Jeff Potts (guitars), and Ben Mottsman (bass) alongside new drummer Carlos Cruz (Warbringer, Machine Head, Power Trip) - as the A-side and “Black Funeral” as the B-side is set to be released this Friday, January 28th. The video for “Black Funeral” can be viewed at https://youtu.be/xQGWm4mk7xQ. Order now at https://www.smarturl.com/manticritual. Guitarit / vocalist Dan Wetmore talks about the new video / cover - “I can't think of a metal band I like more than Mercyful Fate; melodic, dark, and shockingly heavy at times. We've covered ‘Doomed by the Living Dead’ and ‘Gypsy’ in the past, but I wanted something direct and short. ‘Black Funeral’ really delivers. Heavy as hell, straight to the punch and then it ends with two beautiful leads. Perfect. We wanted to do this largely note for note, true to the original, just a bit faster. My vocal style has changed a bit. I scream less, and I sing more. And my range is much bigger. This seemed a challenge, but it came out in just a few takes. All hail Satan!!” MANTIC RITUAL is:

The album is available for pre-order here. The expanded edition is beefed up with seven additional tracks, including a feature from Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante along with three covers. With touring off the table for most of 2021, the band found other means of creative outlet, and opted to re-enter the studio with producers Carson and Grant around the time of the release of what would go on to become their career-defining self titled album. Now, the band is sharing the video for "Nigh to Silence." - click to watch. Guitarist / clean vocalist Jesse Cash shares his thoughts:- "During the end of 2020 and the start of 2021, we tried to take advantage of not being able to tour and having extra time at home. So while we were rolling out singles and announcing our self-titled record, we were also in the studio recording some new songs for a deluxe edition of the record. This was our favourite of the bunch. Regarding the deeper meaning of "Nigh to Silence", the song is set on an empty earth observed by the moon. I intended to express as much loneliness as I could. Then, I thought of 'walking in the shadow of my own ghost,' which felt like the loneliest visual I could muster. I wrote the first line about how the process of writing music feels and my deeply internal fear of being forgotten or irrelevant: 'Floating song, I caught in a dream and passed it on. Frail and fragile is the ghost that I will carry and time will swallow.'" ERRA S/T DELUXE TRACK LISTING:
Cash also offers some insight into the band's process, saying, "Creative ideas seemingly spring up out of nowhere, are nurtured into complete works, and once that is done, I immediately begin moving on to the next thing, to the degree that by the time the song is out and people are hearing it for the first time, I've already kind of said my goodbye, mourned its loss, and moved on from it entirely. This always feels sad, but also cathartic to hand the song over to the listeners and relinquish ownership of it. It feels necessary for me to grow as a musician and as a person, to constantly acknowledge a lack of ownership over anything but myself. It was really special for me to finally write a song about the quiet poignancy of writing songs themselves, and 'Nigh to Silence' has become one of my favourites." On their career-defining fifth studio album ERRA, the band confront depression, anxiety and desperation throughout. They take listeners on a near-out-of-body journey to Aokigahara, the infamous Suicide Forest of Japan; into episodic storytelling that would make Black Mirror writers proud; and into the literary works of Cormac McCarthy and Hubert Selby Jr. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, it’s a definitive mission statement for guitarist Jesse Cash, vocalist J.T. Cavey, drummer Alex Ballew, bassist Conor Hesse, and guitarist Sean Price, each of them already well-respected players revered for their inspiring technicality and raw, natural talent. ERRA ARE:
