Beak, the Chicago post-metal quartet who wowed critics with their 2012 debut EP, Eyrie, and 2014 full-length album Let Time Begin, re-awaken with a new video for the song “Souls in Streams” which can be seen below. “Our follow up single from our first full-length, Let Time Begin, “Souls In Streams” lyrically deals with the moment just before an envious soul enters the material world; the dead looking in on the living with contempt before leaping into the fray, observing the cycle of matter taking ultimate form and then disintegrating back to nothingness. In the video, we see an antagonist as an abettor of entropy, procuring chaos and nudging along the next universal cycle by burning down his own milieu. The video uses ultra slow-motion footage of combustion and projections of the vocalist's face back onto himself." explains singer / guitar player Jon Slusher. Beak play a home-town show on April 24 at Reggie’s with Graves at Sea. www.facebook.com/beakmusic www.beakmusic.com

Melodic / Symphonic Death Metal quintet Perdition is pleased to announce that their proper Imminence Records debut, entitled "Lost Rites", will be released June 3rd. To celebrate the announcement, the band has released the lead single of the EP entitled “The Hymm Creeper.” "The new EP represents our tireless efforts to reinvigorate a genre of music plagued by over-quantization and volume. We are proud to release the first single off of the EP. The song is fast, brutal, and precise with a take-no-prisoner cadence. Its lyrics reflect our societal shortcomings and our overall ignorance towards intelligent, political, and social progress. With every listen of the track an angel loses her wings and a fascist loses his toupee.” – Noah Scarpelli (Drummer) Check it out here:- https://imminencerecords.bandcamp.com/track/the-hymn-creeper Website | Facebook | Twitter Slovakia's own Wastage are a brutal blend of thrash, hardcore and metalcore with no-nonsense lyrics about dystopian society we live in. As a relentless workhorse, they have already shared the stage with the likes of Sepultura, Decapitated, E-Force, Obscure Sphinx and many more, quickly rising through the ranks in the heavy charts among the bands from Central Europe. Featuring former members of Xibalba, Stone Cold Bitch, Eternity and The Weed, Wastage is definitely a powerful dark force to be reckoned with! Finnish Cinematic Metal band Dark Sarah (formed by ex-Amberian Dawn singer Heidi Parviainen) will release a new album called "The Puzzle" later this year. The first music video for the song "Little Men" is just released. Musically "The Puzzle" album will continue the cinematic metal sound, but this time a bit heavier and faster, combining different music styles spiced up with black humour and mystical stories with creatures of the Underworld. Story: In the end of the debut album called "Behind the Black Veil", released last year through Inner Wound Reordings, the Evil Tree had broken into pieces and Dark Sarah´s soul with it. She did not die, but was left in a loop between two worlds, between life and death. She was sent down to the River of Death to drift along the streams and she ended up on an island in the middle of a mighty ocean. She woke up on the shores of the misty island. It was a magical rocky island, the rocks were black and they sparkled like covered by millions of diamonds in the endless night. Sharp cliffs and huge statues painted the dark sky, the ocean was wild on its shores.Dark Sarah felt the air in her lungs - she was alive after all. She felt the strength coming back to her limbs, she got up and started to explore the island. She found a cave and went in. There she saw a light twinkling in the back of the cave and started to move towards it slowly. She looked through the small hole and was mesmerized. And THIS is the place for the first music video called "Little Men". It is surely something REALLY DIFFERENT and same time REALLY CRAZY! Guests on the album: Manuela Kraller (ex Xandria) - Fate, JP Leppäluoto (Charon, Northern Kings) - Dragon and YET UNNAMED GUEST - Evil Siren Mairmaid Crowdfunding: https://igg.me/at/darksarahthepuzzle/x/4282810 Official album trailer: https://youtu.be/GIDqKVvGEhM Poland’s Vidian have exciting news regarding material this year. Riding on the creative wave that spawned last year’s "Transgressing the Horizon", the experimental metal troupe wrote twenty minutes of material which formed the basis of this upcoming EP. As a band who proudly avoid treading over old ground despite their wide-ranging influences, one can expect the unexpected with these four songs. Intensity mixes with immediacy, and motifs that stay lodged in the skull long after the record stops. As their début for Arachnophobia Records, the band are in good quality company, and "A Piece of the End" continues the band’s burgeoning reputation for boundary-pushing music. "A Piece of the End" is due for release on May 25th via Arachnophobia Records. Pre-order information will be available soon. The masters of ‘Samurai Metal’ are back with third album "Metsutan – Songs of the Void", set for release on May 20th through Redhouse FMP / Inverse Records. Today the Finnish melodic death metallers have released the first single, 'Strike', which is about "executing a flawless, godlike strike with a sword." 'Strike' is available now via Spotify, iTunes, etc. and a lyric video for the single can be seen below. "Metsutan – Songs of the Void" is a complex masterpiece, addictive from the get-go. The band seamlessly fuse traditional Japanese instruments and atmospheres with Scandinavian melodic death making for a captivating listening experience throughout the album’s ten tracks. Vocalist, guitarist and founding member of the band Jouni Valjakka talks on the lyrical themes explored on the album, “Similar to our last album "Shogunate Macabre" [2014], we move across many themes. We have songs about warriors, spirits, Japanese mythology and more. With this album we touch on a more spiritual side with our thematics... Strong concepts about determination, life, retribution and values of one overall.” The band teamed up once again with talented Japanese artist TOK who not only perfectly encapsulates the band’s visions she also acted as a mentor to ensure the band stays true to the core Japanese themes and concepts they explore on the album. "Metsutan - Songs of the Void" will be released on 20th May 2016 through Redhouse FMP / Inverse Records. www.whisperedband.com www.facebook.com/whisperedband www.redhouse.fi 1. Nero 2.
