Symphonic Blackened Death Metallers Rising Sunset are proud to announce that they have signed with Wormholedeath for the release of their album "De Mysterium Tenebris" due for release on 08/05/2020 on all digital stores and streaming services worldwide.

Band Statement:

'We are proud to release our new full-length album through our new label WormholeDeath. With this 4th studio release we invite the metal community through a dark journey of mysticism and spirituality. Very soon a lyric video of one of our tracks – ‘Serpent of Eden’ will be released .'

Founded by Carlo Calamatta, Rising Sunset emerged on the Maltese Metal Scene at the end of 2001. The concept was to deliver a meaningful message about the profoundness of life, spirituality, divinity and mysticism to its fans. On these foundations, the band debuted with their first EP, 'Rhema' in 2006. 2012 saw the release of the first full length album 'Equinox', which was regarded by many reviewers as a milestone in symphonic power metal. Rising Sunset seemed to have found the perfect musical combination between symphony and metal. Soon after the release of ‘Equinox’, the band went through a drastic change in the line-up. Along with the new members, Rising Sunset morphed from power metal to symphonic gothic metal with their 3rd release 'Decretum'. Powerful guitar riffs, darker lyrics, tempo impetuosity, a female soprano voice, and the introduction of male growls, made 'Decretum' another success for the band. This album was an important stepping stone in the evolution of Rising Sunset.

The band’s 2020 offering, ‘De Mysterium Tenebris’ represents a matured genre which has since evolved to symphonic blackened death. The album will take you on a journey through brutal, black & death metal riffs, melancholic melodies and orchestration, growls and screams & solid drumming intertwined with elaborate song writing. This is an album akin to the ‘Book of Revelation’ taking you into the dark, apocalyptic and prophetic journey. The more you listen to the album the more you cherish the dark journey, mysticism and the stages of metamorphosis that will happen on Earth as the souls of humanity are aligned with the supreme being or condemned for eternity.

Lamb Of God issue statement on new release date for upcoming self-titled album

Lamb Of God has issued a statement regarding the release of their upcoming self-titled album and the album’s third single:

“Regrettably, we have to announce that the release date for our upcoming self-titled album is being moved five weeks, to June 19th. We're in extraordinary times due to the current global reality and the delay of shipments of all-but essential goods needed in the fight against COVID-19. After talks with our labels, there is no other option than to delay the release so that fans who pre-ordered the album can receive the record they paid for.

We appreciate your patience during these times – a global pandemic is not something people in the music industry usually take into account when scheduling album releases, but as you know, this thing has affected everyone across the board, and we are no exception.

We will, however, be releasing a new song, "New Colossal Hate", this Thursday, April 23rd and plan to release a 4th song from the album before the full album is released in June.

     Thank you for your understanding.

Wash your damn hands, let us know what you think of the new tunes, and see you on the road sometime!”

– LAMB OF GOD

A true collaboration between all members of the band, Lamb Of God’s eighth studio album is an amalgam of each individual’s contributions, blended to create a singular style. Guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler fuel the album with a mountain of riffs, taking what Lamb of God are known for, and unbelievably, upping the ante to new levels. The rhythm section of John Campbell, looming large as a rhythmic shadow, and drummer Art Cruz, who makes his studio debut with Lamb Of God here on this record, underpin the proceedings with passion, sweat and expansive dynamics. Vocalist D. Randall Blythe is as angry, insightful, and informed as ever. Never one to shrink from facing the darker aspects of our nature head-on, Blythe delivers with no punches pulled, and as only he and Lamb of God can in 2020.

Lamb Of God track listing:

1. Memento Mori
2. Checkmate
3. Gears
4. Reality Bath
5. New Colossal Hate
6. Resurrection Man
7. Poison Dream (feat. Jamey Jasta)
8. Routes (feat. Chuck Billy)

Lamb Of God’s self-titled, 8th studio album is now set to be released June 19, 2020 on Epic Records.

"'Drown With Me' is just a really fucked up love song," the band bluntly explains. "Love can be beautiful, but also dark and terrifying. The lyrics 'Take my hand, don't be scared, drown with me if you can' beckons the listener to take the plunge into the unknown."

Colombian Death Metallers The Scum release lyric video for new single from forthcoming 'Dead Eyes' EP

16/4/2020

Colombian Death Metal masters The Scum have released a lyric video for "No Forgiveness," the second single from the band's forthcoming Dead Eyes EP. This time, the band from Manizales surprises us with a fast and ruthless song that recalls the sounds of pioneers of old school death metal, such as Benediction, Grave, Unleashed, Dismember, and Entombed.

"No Forgiveness" (Lyric Video) - youtu.be/4aOxH-LpnvE

The video was edited by Francisco Henao and Attia Studios in Manizales. The song has a first class production job with the participation of Tomás Skogsberg doing the Mix at Sunlight Studios (Dismember, Carnage, Necrophobic, Grave, Entombed) in Sweden, and mastered by the renowned engineer Andy Classen (Holy Moses, Asphyx, Belphegor, Krisiun, Destruction) at Stage One Studio in Germany.

Dead Eyes will be released May 1 via Wild Noise Productions. The EP was produced in Sunlight Studios by Tomas Skolberg and mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio.

Last month the band released the official video for the title track, which features none other than Dave Ingram of the mighty Benediction. An impressive work directed by Juan Diego Escobar Alzate and Afasia Films, the video, premiered by Slam Worldwide has already 8.000 views on YouTube. Check it out at youtu.be/raJvE8T_Fl4

English Melodic Metalcore outfit Bury Tomorrow announce new album 'Cannibal' - out July 3rd on Music For Nations / Sony Music

16/4/2020

Bury Tomorrow will release their sixth album, Cannibal, on July 3rd via Music For Nations / Sony

Bury Tomorrow‘s 2018 album Black Flame catapulted them into metal’s upper echelons. It was the band’s third consecutive UK Top 40 album - quite the feat for a heavy band - and took them on a tour which culminated with a huge show at London’s iconic Roundhouse. But with follow-up Cannibal, the band have taken another leap forward.

Watch the music video for the title-track here: https://smarturl.it/BTCannibal/youtube

Already, the South Coast quintet are responsible for some of metalcore’s most rousing anthems, and Cannibal is stacked with more glorious vocal hooks, razor-sharp riffs and sublime melodies that will solidify their seat at UK metal’s top table.

To record it, the band reunited with SikTh guitarist and Black Flame producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Young Guns), while mixing and mastering was completed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood and Ermin Hamidovic, the dream team behind Architects’ Holy Hell.

The result is Bury Tomorrow’s most technical, anthemic album yet. And while vocalist Dani Winter Bates has long been one of metal’s loudest advocates for the importance of discussing mental health, this time he’s delved explicitly into his own experiences, writing his most brutally personal lyrics to date.

  11. Dark Infinite

Dani says that:-

“This album is for me as well as for the fans. It was a cathartic process to address some of the darkest moments I’ve had in my life. For some people it’ll be a hard listen. But I thought I have to do this, if I’m going to go in, I’m going to go in. I’m not doing something half arsed. There is nothing lyrically I would change on this entire album.”

When Dani began writing the concepts for Cannibal, while he had penned tracks about his mental health before, this time things were different. Dropping all metaphors and opaque sentiments, he’s addressed things head on, hoping the album’s unapologetically frank approach will help people who are struggling to understand that they aren’t alone.

“I wanted to live by my words. I talk to people about normalising mental health (Dani has facilitated Safe Space Sessions up and down the country during tours, alongside mental health professionals), so how can I write an album where I’m not talking about mental health? The normalisation of mental health is what saves lives. I want people to see the light in the dark. If they delve into that they can find solace in the discussion, the normalisation, the positive action by discussing this.”

Lyrically, there’s an apocalyptic feel to Cannibal. While tracks like Quake and Better Below go deep into Dani’s lowest moments, the album also explores the impact of social media on Gods And Machines as well as what he refers to as “society’s oppressive, horrific nature”.

“The term Cannibal refers to being eaten away by your own thoughts but also eaten away by other humans,” he explains. “We’re not kind to ourselves, let alone kind to each other.”

While Cannibal is very much Dani’s story lyrically and thematically, the rest of the band are also on the form of their lives. The title track is a clear nod back to the anthem of Black Flame’s standout title-track and tracks like powerhouse opener Choke, The Grey (VIXI) and Imposter are classic Bury Tomorrow, metallic maelstroms of churning riffs and expansive choruses. Elsewhere though, the band have taken more risks than ever before, adding depth and shade to their ever-evolving sound. Quake ebbs and flows, swelling and simmering like a seething volcano and a techy edge cuts through the icy melody of Cold Sleep. And for all the album’s dark ruminations, atmospheric closer Dark Infinite ends on a melodic high, a surging soundscape which sounds like the band are ready to take on the world.

Work on Cannibal started almost immediately after the band released the deluxe version of Black Flame in June 2019 and was completed partly on the road. Soon after, the band headed to the studio, recording drums and rhythm guitars at Middle Farm studios, in South Devon, with the remainder of the album recorded at Vale studios in Worcestershire. Putting into practice the lessons they had learnt when making Black Flame, the band tore into, rewrote and scrapped any tracks that weren’t up to scratch.

While the process was far from easy and pushed the band musically and emotionally to their limit, there’s no doubt that this is their best and bravest album to date. Now 14 years into their career, Cannibal will be the album that takes Bury Tomorrow to even greater heights. 2020 will be their year.

“I want it to grow our fan base and capitalise what we did with Black Flame,”
says Dani. “Black Flame connected with a lot of people. I want Cannibal to take us to a new part of our career. It’s a great starting point for a discussion, I’m excited for people to hear it.”
