Ukraine's Doom/Death metal band Polynove Pole unveil a song from the upcoming album! Enjoy "Deceptive Reflections" right now:- https://youtu.be/Iu-N3lKOv9Y Mix and mastering by "Morton Studio" (Kyiv, Ukraine). Polynove Pole (eng. Wormwood Field) was formed in the fall of 2004 in Lviv, Ukraine. After the first demo recordings in 2005, the band started to perform at local concerts, and then on rock festivals of western Ukraine and capital city Kyiv. In the beginning of 2008, the first EP “Pure Souls” was officially released, and at the end of the same year a full-length album “On Seven Winds” as well. Due to active concert activity and selection of musician line-up, the band came to prominence as one of the leading groups of Western Ukraine. New songs of PolynovePole were represented in tribute-albums and collections of Ukrainian rock music. The band’s next EP, “Under the Cold Stone”, was released in 2009 and became the heaviest and the most melodic at that time in the discography. Since 2010, a long pause has taken place in the history of the band. After taking time off, the band joined forces with new members and resumed work on new material. The band resurgence started in November 2017, with a new release, “On The Edge Of The Abyss”. Re-released on April 2018 by Moon records. Polynove Pole delivered the record with lyrics that appeared in Ukrainian and English for the first time. Boston based Alternative Progressive Metal Carpathia has released their hotly anticipated new EP, 1912. The band states that:- "1912 the EP is the culmination of three years of growth and hard work, loss and repair once as a band and now, as a family.” A band is not created solely from a group of people deciding to get into a room and write music together, it's not that simple. Once you've found that 'sound', it becomes impossible to ignore that you're now bound to these songs you find yourself pouring every last drop of blood, sweat, and tears into. You will, quite literally, fight for them. It is with those individuals that make up a truly unique and inspiring band. Carpathia and its members have a history, and it all started with Bobby Drinkwater. As an East Boston, Massachusetts native, Bobby has been consistently involved in music, and in 2016 started a nameless band with long term goals. Bobby keeps the conversations short, but has so much to say behind his instruments. Bobby plays multiple instruments including guitar, violin, piano, and drums. Bobby first found co-member Jason Barsotti to join his new project. Born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, Jason first picked up his drum sticks at the age of 10, and his long term practice has lead him to a fast paced, hard hitting sound that resonates. Jason's humble and pleasant personality quickly takes a back-seat when he steps behind his drum-kit. Bobby had continued his search in bandmates close to home when joining forces with Andrew Miller, the two had met and worked together in a previous project back in 2014. Andrew is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, but has resided in Lynn, Massachusetts since 2013. Throughout Andrew's life he has been surrounded by family and friends who have been hitting stages in music and comedy. It is no wonder that Andrew's charismatic humour filled personality would follow in similar footsteps. Andrew has played guitar long term in a number of bands both in North Carolina, and Massachusetts. He had transitioned to playing bass in 2013 for a previous project and found his own unique sound in the process. These three musicians had wrote and played music together between 2016 and 2017 as an instrumental band while trailing a number of potential vocalists. Finally, in January 2017, Samantha Alice of North Kingstown, Rhode Island joined as the last vital part of this project. Samantha brought her strong vocal skills and even stronger personality to the group. Samantha's history in singing has taken her from talent competitions to all state choir, and beyond. Samantha was first approached by Bobby after meeting at a local show and sparked an interest in trying out for his new project. It took no time at all for the solidification of this band to come to completion and Carpathia was officially named as such on April 22, of 2017. After several successful albums and an ever-increasing fan base, doom metallers Doomraiser have today announced that they have signed to Italian label Time To Kill Records for the release of their next album. Formed in 2004, the Rome-based band have evolved into an instantly recognisable figurehead for those pushing doom metal into crushing new directions. Through the years the band have shared the stage with acts such as Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, The Gates of Slumber and Orange Goblin and have been experimenting and contaminating their music with raw heavy metal, psychedelia and other influences. Watch for details on the new album release, new tour updates, and more news on other upcoming Doomraiser activities to be posted shortly. Visually, the video looks like supplemental content for an R.L Stine Goosebumps book, but the song actually has a darker, more serious tone.
WATCH IT HERE ALSO AVAILABLE ON SPOTIFY Tonight We Stand states:- "'Hollowgrams' talks about the emotional struggles that many artists face and it addresses suicide / depression. With this song, we wanted to raise suicide awareness for the sake of anyone who has succumbed to the most insurmountable mental anguish. We must look at suicide as what it is: a preventable outcome of a treatable illness." "Hollowgrams" was mixed by Betraying The Martyrs guitarist Lucas D’angelo and mastered by Ermin Hamidovic (Architects, Periphery). Tonight We Stand released their debut EP Redemption in 2016 on Sliptrick Records, which was awarded the "Best Underground Release" by Rock Hard Italy. The four song offering was produced and mixed at Solid Ground Recording Studio, and mastered by Andrea Fusini, as was their 2017 single "I Will Rise, You'll Fade Away." Listen to "Hollowgrams" on Spotify. Facebook // Instagram // Twitter Featuring members from Elvenking, Evenoire, and Sound Storm, Italy’s Shadygrove journey into our primordial and mythological past for inspiration. The new song is inspired by a fairy tale from a small town in the North of Italy. The band comments:- "We love magic tales and love to tell them when they are real. Water fairies can be seen when the Sun goes down, and you always have to respect them. If someday you'll forget the rule your fairy will vanish into a never-ending curse.'Three Times Bad and Three Times Good' are the laws of the enchanted wood, and we like to say that are also the rules of life. If you do something bad in your life, this will happen three times on you, the same if you do something good." The single can be watched on YouTube at the following link https://youtu.be/tzzR6tQf2yY and streamed on Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2wJBAS4 Theirs is an acoustic heaviness that is truly original and special. It’s as though, like the myths and legends that inspire them, Shadygrove have always been with us, just waiting for us to look with our hearts rather than our eyes. Following their critically acclaimed album Five, released in 2016, the extreme metal juggernaut from Montreal, Canada, has released a first single and announced the first and hotly anticipated details of their brand new record, due out September 20th 2019 on Rodeostar Records. Says vocalist Vicky Psarakis: "When I heard the first instrumentals for "Orphans" I was a bit shocked and confused. The music was really dark and heavier than anything we've done in previous albums and I wasn't quite sure how I'd be able to match that emotion. But then you know all it took was writing one full song to get the ball rolling and 2-3 months later everything was done! With every new album, we love to experiment and dip our toes into new territory, but there's also a lot of elements here that are reminiscent of the earlier days. You can expect a lot of hard hitting, fast-paced madness and many many blast beats! Vocally, there's a wide range of styles, some of which I tried out for the first time, and the lyrics are mostly inspired from horror stories and real-life tragedies. Events that I felt a lot of people can relate to. "Orphans" is my third album with The Agonist and I can't wait to show the world what we created! We're excited to finally share the first taste with all of you... Get ready for In Vertigo!" Listen to opening track and first single “In Vertigo” and watch the video HERE! Since the band's formation in 2004, The Agonist quickly established themselves as the torchbearers of a new generation in extreme modern metal. On their sixth studio album, Orphans, The Agonist have unleashed a true monster feeding on melodic death metal and almost rocking moments. In between beautifully anthemic metal sound walls, pounding grooves and fierce riffs, charismatic front vocalist Vicky Psarakis showcases her impressive range that covers everything from rock diva all the way to sick death metal growls. The result is a flickering, iridescent and varied masterpiece nestled in between sheer brutality and melodic frailty – simply incomparable! Coming September 20th as Deluxe Box, LP, CD and Digital formats on Rodeostar Records. It’s their first release with guitarist Roger Lundberg, as well as the first with major songwriting contribution from bassist Samuel Järvinen. In the mixing process External worked with Asger Mygind from the Danish band Vola. The song is accompanied by a music video by Tuomas Ikonen. Check the music video: https://youtu.be/cFwLNvGirUQ Listen to the single:
The band states: "We're extremely proud to share Anhedonia with the world. We chose this song as a single, since we thought it has a satisfying balance between things that define our current sound - groove, heaviness, softness, complexity and accessibility. Lyrically, the song is about losing all the colours from your life, feeling no enjoyment or pleasure from anything. Amidst all, the chorus is a plea to keep fighting and not to give up. It was truly an honour to work with one of our musical inspirations, Asger Mygind (Vola), in the mixing process. The greatest of thanks go to him, Samu Oittinen, Tuomas Ikonen and all the talented people involved for doing such an amazing job, as well as to our friends and families for their constant support!" A champion for the youth who are fed up with the current political system, 'Death Squad Anthem' is the second cut lifted from their earth-scorching fifth record, Human Target, set for release on July 26 via Nuclear Blast (ROW) and Human Warfare (AU/NZ). Watch here: https://youtu.be/uw_qPfgTxuI Guitarist Andy Marsh comments:- "'Death Squad Anthem' is a blazing examination of the current state of politics riddled with hyperactive virtue signalling, extremism and disenfranchisement. The despondency of 'Death Squad Anthem' is brought to life with stark socio-political traumatic scenes of warfare, genocide, police states, brutality famine and riots interspersed with those at the helm of the atrocities." This single is the second of their latest work 'Malice Murder', which was released on 18th October 18, 2018. The band already announced that this new work has damned souls that can’t escape from hell as inspiration, and they have captured this essence in this song and video, which is a descent into hell. This is the darkest work of SynlakrosS so far. The song hasa frantic rhythm and a catchy melody that tells us the story and the pain of a tormented soul, a young girl caught in terror who seeks her brother to escape with him, but it is impossible, they are in hell. An explosive theme, with strong rhythms, with Melodic Death Metal base but with the characteristic personal touch of the band. The video was made by Sergio Mangas Murcia and Bárbara Navarro Soler, the team that made their video 'Colony'; has gathered more than a million and a half views, being the most watched video of 2018 from a Spanish Metal band. They have depicted the atmosphere of the theme through very careful photography, as well as costumes and props that come to life thanks to a good acting cast. Link to the video: https://youtu.be/5LI3DmJoXUU The audio has been produced and edited by Facundo Novo (Novo Estudios), who produced the third album of the band. www.synlakross.com https://www.youtube.com/user/SynlakrossChannel https://www.facebook.com/SynlakrosS/ https://www.instagram.com/synlakross/ |
