Rite of Passage Records is proud to announce the addition of California's The Wrath Of Vesuvius to it's roster of talented up and coming artists. The band will hit the studio later this summer to begin work on their upcoming full-length album ‘Revelation’. For now, a lyric video for the demo version of the title track, “Revelation”, can be seen here
Formed in 2009, The Wrath of Vesuvius has two previous releases, which the band put out independently. Additionally, the band has also toured along with west coast, playing with bands such as Whitechapel, Winds of Plague, Within The Ruins, and more.
The combination of the independent releases and touring has helped the band build a sizeable following in the underground metal scene. It was the word of mouth buzz about the band that caught the attention of Rite of Passage in early 2012.
After a few meetings, both sides felt the pairing of the band and the label was right and an agreement was signed. “We were drawn to Rite of Passage because we’ve known about Mediaskare Records (ROP’s parent label) for years and know that they take care of their bands if they work hard,” stated the band. “We saw how other bands on the roster have grown and felt that Rite of Passage was the best fit to call home for The Wrath of Vesuvius.”
The band’s debut album for the label titled ‘Revelation’ will be released in early 2013 and speaking on the album, the band had the following to say about what fans can expect from it: “We took a different approach to our songs this time around, such as having an overall darker feel and mood. There are multiple themes that play a role both lyrically and instrumentally;” adding “In the title track of our new album, “Revelation”, the lyrics explain a very hopeless outlook on life, and it lays the groundwork for all the themes throughout the album. ‘Revelation’ contains negative themes along the lines of compulsive behavior, anxiety, depression, and the self-abuse that might entail.”
The album is not all dark and depressing though, the band added “‘Revelation’ has positive outlooks as well, such as chasing one’s passions at all costs in order to feel content with life at the end of the day- despite being lost from the start.”

_Polish Death metal band Hell United announced the premiere of their new album 'Aura Damage' is to come on September 11th, 2012. It was produced by a dynamically developing label Hellthrasher Productions.
The album has been recorded in spring this year in Roslyn Studio under the supervision of Krzysztof Godycki in band’s strongest and original composition with Dügy on drums and returning on guitar vacancy Rzulty (Stillborn, ex-Deception). 'Aura Damage' is composed of 9 murderous compositions covered with nihilistic somnambulism. It is a mix of a band new approach to a black death metal brutality with tested for years dingy patents known from previous albums 'HornoKracy' and 'Applause: JHVH Elohim Met'. In opinion of those who had a chance to get to know the inside of new record current face of Hell United can be described with a meaningful term of Sadistic Intent meets Arkhon Infaustus. You can judge the heaviness of this words by referring to reveled preview of a single 'Deathlike Cold' here.
Here is how Bartek Kosiński, chief of Hellthrasher Productions comments the fact of signing a pledge with Polish quartet:
"We’ve decided to cooperate with the band because Hell United has a huge unbridled potential and amounts of evil energy, not completely presented over the early vale of tears. The negotiations weren’t the easiest. It took quite some time but finally we’ve managed to convince the team to work with us which we are damn happy about. After hearing the first few sounds of 'Aura Damage' we are more than sure that the Polish fans of metal will be battered. I truly believe that the album will be heard about abroad too especially that a limited vinyl version will come up next year to help that happen".
The first half of 2012, is marked by concerts at the side of Ulcerate, Furia and Intestinal and work on the newest album 'Aura Damage'.
_A Hero A Fake has released their third album, 'The Future Again', available at Best Buy, FYE, Hastings and at your favorite independent retailers. The album can also be found on iTunes / Amazon and through the Victory Records webstore.
Recorded by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, Wretched), mixed by Cameron Mizell (I See Stars, Sleeping with Sirens, Woe Is Me), and mastered by Joey Sturgis (Emmure, We Came As Romans, Asking Alexandria), 'The Future Again' demonstrates A Hero A Fake'’s skillful and tempered song writing. Aside from textbook musical proficiency, the additional mood and melody experiments found within their newest album show the band’s maturing sound has an edge that is sure to make them a force in the modern metal community.
Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, the band has a unique story. A Hero A Fake was formed in 2004 by three original members while still in high school. The majority of the band’s early career involved members traveling back and forth between college and their hometown every weekend to write music and tour. Since they signed to Victory Records 2008, the band continued to pursue their education while releasing their first two albums. Their third album is released on the heels of the band celebrating their completion of college
_Moving another step closer to the release date of Dew Scented's 'Icarus' on July 30th in the UK, Metalsucks are offering a worldwide online premiere of a lyric-video for the song 'Storm Within' off the new album. Check it out here.
Dew Scented guitarist and songwriter Marvin Vriesde checked in to comment about the track as follows:
"I really dig how the riffs and drums in 'Storm Within', have almost a mechanical feel to them. I thought it would be cool for Dew-Scented to do a heavy double bass driven song with a lot of heavy, chugging guitars. So I took the chance to make it happen. The heavy character of the song also allowed Leif to do some deeper vocals. The deep vocals fit the song perfectly and add a bit of extra dynamic to the album. Chances are, that this song is gonna go down really well when we play it live".
'Icarus' will be released as a limited first edition Digipak including 3 bonus tracks as well as on vinyl (black and limited coloured versions) on July, 30th via Metal Blade Records in the UK!
