"Augur Nox" is the first album featuring Code's new lineup of Aort, Wacian, Syhr, LORDt and Andras. The brand-new material demonstrates the band's fresh personnel in a vivid light, confirming Code's position as a radiant gem in the extreme metal world. It displays a multifaceted approach: from stunning wide-ranging vocals, otherworldly clean passages, and barbed metallic riffery, all filtered through a refined prism of avant-garde black metal. The album is Code's most progressive effort to date, yet always captures the band's distinct eerie and arcane vibe.
Featuring ten tracks and 2 interludes over a 55-minute playing time, "Augur Nox" is a bold step forward where acute songwriting and expansive experimentation go hand in hand. Code's sound has been both refined and exaggerated at the same time, to produce a melodically dense and ambitious piece of work. The band describes the forthcoming release as their "most dynamic and challenging material to date." "Augur Nox" was mixed and mastered at Orgone Studios in London (Ghost, Cathedral, Ulver) after three years of development and pre-production. Tracklist: 1. Black Rumination 2. Becoming Host 3. Ecdysis 4. Glimlight Tourist - Dx. (interlude) 5. Garden Chancery 6. The Lazarus Cord 7. The Shrike Screw - Rx. (interlude) 8. Trace of God 9. Harmonies in Cloud 10. White Tryptych The follow-up to 2009's "Resplendent Grotesque" (nominated for a Spellemann Award in the best metal album category) will be available in digipack, limited vinyl and digital formats. The vinyl formats include: black vinyl, color in color vinyl (bone white / ultra clean) limited to 100 copies and a further 100 copies on swamp green/ultra clean color in color vinyl. https://www.facebook.com/codeblackmetal

KK Street Bangers is the youngest, but the most exciting extreme metal band from Montenegro. Every song they execute results in a nasty bang happening in the audience, driven by the sound of uncompromising thrash metal without a single inessential note, they deal with the clutter and inclination for commercial music with which they will try to cultivate a good relation with anyone. Especially not with undeveloped critical thought in their region which is fond of other kinds of music to the detriment of the genuine metal riff. From that rebellion against commercial music and the devotion to guitar distortion, the Montenegrin Thrash Metal that is created by KK Street Bangers are poised to become the nation's typical mentors in teaching other bands about playing Thrash Metal. The band has a new EP called "Street Rotten Thrash Derby" and is ideally for the fans of Destruction, Exodus, Overkill, Metallica and Sodom. You can check the thrashers out in action here: KK STREET BANGERS LIVE VIDEO / Fast Death (Live at Distopija Fest 2012, Mostar - Bosnia and Herzegovina) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccobxaFbx3A https://www.facebook.com/kkstreetbangers As widely reported, Lamb Of God’s concert in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which was scheduled for September 28th has been cancelled by the government, who refused to issue a permit for the show even though the concert had been on sale and had sold over 1,500 tickets.
Lamb Of God’s guitarist Mark Morton has issued the following statement regarding the decision by the Malaysian government. Shows scheduled in New Zealand, Australia, and Thailand will still be performed by the group: “It is very evident (and a bit frustrating) that the groups, parties and powers that have taken the most offense to our music and lyrics, have themselves only made a passing glance at the content and meanings of those songs. We would invite anyone offended by our music to engage in a discussion regarding the true motivations behind our work, especially before publicly slandering us based on assumptions and shallow misinterpretation. We sincerely apologize to our amazing fans in Malaysia for the cancellation. Many thanks to all who have spoken out in support of us through this.” GMA spoke to a couple of Malaysians regarding this issue, we have concealed their identities for obvious reasons. The only main reason cited behind the reason for cancellation falls onto religion, according to one Malaysian the reason is that Metal music is not suitable for Islam as it is the main religion in Malaysia, he questions though why the night clubs exist and why pop artists like the The Pussycat Dolls can come and play in Malaysia, he feels the Government is restricting the growth of metal music. Naturally he says the Malaysian metalheads are not pleased, they are angry but as of yet there are no riots nor agitated violence as seen in the past when Metallica played Indonesia. He goes on to say that although the Malaysian government is aware of the metal bands in Malaysia, they have not acted against them via means of punishment, the metal bands themselves he says are underground. The government is to blame not Islam he says and also goes on to say that the government saw the band as a Satanic band, which he admits is funny given the band name is a Christian reference, he is strongly against the government citing that they have an easy living, easy way of earning and that the working class suffer. Another Malaysian admits that this was bound to happen eventually especially when "people of the cloth" suddenly got the need to protect the morality of the masses when all this while they did nothing! Heck Beyonce and The Pussycat Dolls did a "revealing" show over here and no one battered their eyelids! Pure hypocrisy, just that. |
