Egypt's Death Metal band Scarab unleash their new lyric video Circles of Verminejya. The song is taken from their third full length upcoming album titled Martyrs of the Storm. The album features a number of artists: Joe Haley (Psycroptic), Karl Sanders (Nile), Tarassenko Nikita (The Condratiction), Amducias Baal (Temple of Baal), Stephen Moss (Onsetcold), Achraf Loudiy (Aeternam) and Paul Nazarkardeh (De Profundis). The bass has been recorded with another De Profundis member, Arran Macsporran. The release date for Martyrs of the Storm will be confirmed later. Vocalist Sammy Sayed explains why so many artists are featured on the album:- "We want to make a statement in the name of brotherhood and unity of metal worldwide. We want Martyrs of the Storm to be something beyond just us and our egos. Artists such as Joe Haley and Karl Sanders have influenced us a lot and it is great to have their spirit added to our work of art." Every song in the album is dedicated to a concept, all wrapped in this sphere of chaos called Martyrs of the Storm. Circles of Verminejya is dedicated to the mystical and magical tradition of Voodoo from great Africa. Check out the video here:- https://vimeo.com/289903570 The album cover is a real painting by the artist Fiona Garcia, digitally adapted by Al Sharif Marzeban. Lutharö, from Hamilton, Canada is proud to premiere their music video for their single “Unleash The Beast” via Bravewords.com. The single is the title track off their upcoming EP and is an enticing amalgamation of death metal growling and punchy double kicks accompanied by power metal cleans and fiery guitar solos. The myriad of dynamic elements and groovy bits make this one powerhouse of a song. Its lyrics follow the familiar situation of someone restraining themselves for too long in fear of judgement or emotional pain; as this goes on they feel an anger grow inside of them until it eventually turns into a full on monster seeking vengeance. The range on the vocals masterfully paint a vivid image of all hell breaking loose. Further expanding on where Shipperbottom’s lyrics come from: “The lyrics specifically on this EP were all inspired by emotional experiences in her day to day life with a more morbid twist and added metaphors.” The band has crafted this EP in the hope their listeners will have a positive and and lasting experience, finding it enjoyable and authentic but also relatable. Giving nods to some of their noticeable influences including Arch Enemy, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Behemoth and Iron Maiden, Lutharö sits imposingly on the border of the death, power and thrash sub-genres. Peruvian death metal monsters Rotten Evisceration reveals the first single “Ascending From The Putrid Grave”. The album "Ancient Grave Ascension" will be out on November 1st 2018. Dr. Surgeon Mutilador comment: “It is the first time we will have a support like this for one of our songs. We are very excited to show the video to all the death metal maniacs. This video fits perfectly with the song "Ascending From The Putrid Grave" because the lyrics are closely related to the art of the cover. It show in its images all the musical brutality that we want to transmit to the audience” On 12 October 2018, Evanescence will be releasing ‘Synthesis Live’ on DVD, Blu-ray, DVD + CD, Blu-Ray + CD set and digital video via Eagle Vision. Recorded late last Autumn during the band’s critically-acclaimed Synthesis tour, the concert was captured in state-of-the-art 4K by director P.R. Brown & produced by Craig Ziogas/CTGS Productions. The songs span Evanescence’s 20-year history to date, reinvented with a full orchestra over a deep electronic landscape. Synthesis is a soulful and sweepingly grandiose event to witness live. Seated at the piano, Amy Lee opens the set with a single note that builds into the instrumental Overture, seamlessly leading into the crushing wave that is Never Go Back. Bring Me To Life, the anthem that lead many people to discover Evanescence, reaches a new level of power and emotion with a pounding, electric heartbeat and soaring orchestral accompaniment, while songs like My Immortal, Lithium and Lost in Paradise evoke heartbreaking scenes from a beautiful, timeless film. Amy Lee’s incredible vocal range and the group’s expressive, multi-layered music naturally lends itself to orchestral accompaniment, shining a light on the singular beauty of the arrangements by composer David Campbell and conductor Susie Seiter creating a truly dynamic, cinematic sound. Lee has called this, ‘a passion project’, which undoubtedly shines through. The sense of occasion is not lost on the band or audience alike in this unique and highly emotive show. Evanescence recently took their Synthesis live tour around the world, delivering highly-acclaimed performances throughout Europe, North America and Australia. This summer, the band teamed with violinist Lindsey Stirling on a tour of North American amphitheatres - one of Live Nation’s Top 10 tours of the summer. “The majesty of Ms. Lee accompanied by Mr. Campbell’s arrangements was undeniable.” – Wall Street Journal “Amy Lee firmly re-establishes herself as one of rock's pre-eminent vocalists, exhibiting an impressive range that still packs a wallop, this time cutting through a full orchestra.” – Variety “A fresh symphonic approach to Evanescence’s lauded music…genuinely immersive” – Kerrang “Synthesis works magnificently live” - Metal Hammer TRACKLISTING 1.Overture 2. Today, the band are premiering the official video for the title track, over on YouTube. Check it out, here: youtu.be/1OCmwMFKDlE The band commented on the video:- "The filming of the 'Hexenhammer' video was an exciting new experience for the band. Our second video dives into the story of Malleus Maleficarum, written by the discredited Catholic clergyman Heinrich Kramer, to legitimate his cruel deeds against woman in the 15th century. The title track stands for the album, it is melodic and heavy and reflects the sound of the band in a perfect way! We hope you will enjoy the video, which opens up a new authentic chapter for the band! We wanna thank the Witchcraft museum in Gränichen/Switzerland and its founder and director Miss Wicca Meier-Spring and her team for the support on this large project. Also we wanna thank the Operahouse of Zurich for the costumes and the props. Ancient recordings and editing by Michael Buzek - cheers to the whole team for making this amazing venture possible!" It’s a feat few thought could happen, perhaps most shocking to Al Jourgensen himself. The industrial godfather and founder of noise provocateurs Ministry turns 60 years old on October 9, surviving 12 American presidents, 37 years in the music industry and a whole lot of well-documented raucous behaviour in between. The landmark birthday comes just two days before another Ministry milestone-the 30th anniversary of the band’s pioneering album, “The Land Of Rape And Honey,” which was originally released on October 11, 1988 and produced the hit single “Stigmata.” It went on to be certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1996 and remains one of the band’s best selling albums. A stylistic breakthrough for Ministry, “Land Of Rape And Honey” took a steep departure from the synthpop elements of the band’s previous albums, 1983’s “With Sympathy” and 1986’s “Twitch,” and incorporated heavier, more aggressive sounds showcasing Jourgensen’s studio prowess that married metal-inspired guitar riffs with heavy sampling, as well as chugging bass lines from then new member Paul Barker. The album is considered as setting the precedent of the industrial music genre and influenced a number of bands that would come out of the scene thereafter. “Really, 30 years ago? It was the half-way point of my life, and as much as I like this record, it’s kind of a shame that some of the same topics I was railing about then (fascism) are still pertinent now,” says Jourgensen. “Time flies, but nothing changes.” Hear Jourgensen talk more about the anniversary on an upcoming radio appearance on Dave Navarro’s Dark Matter Radio—his first interview as a 60-year-old! The program airs October 17 from 9-11 pm PST. Listen live on DashRadio.Com ALT-X station Ministry continues to remain active in 2018, with the release of its latest album “AmeriKKKant” in March, decrying the current state of America’s political system and its mad man in charge. "This album provides FEMA-type relief for the devastation 'Hurricane Cheeto' has brought upon us,” says Jourgensen. Ministry will embark on the second leg of its North American tour beginning November 21 and continuing through December 21 with support from Carpenter Brut. Set for international release on October 5th via Seance Records, hear Ichor's God of Thunder God of War in its entirety exclusively HERE. If the name Ichor isn't immediately familiar, it's for good reason: this extremely cult black metal band formed in 1993 and disbanded later that year. During that time, the band recorded and released a self-titled four-track demo tape. But, its disbanding was also for good reason: Ichor's two members, Wraith and Diablore, wanted to focus on their other band, the now-legendary Nazxul. Thus, in the grand context of Australian black metal, Ichor served as an oft-unknown yet crucial puzzle piece. Late in 2017, the decision was made by Wraith and Diablore to re-form Ichor, and the duo promptly recorded the band's first full-length. Aptly titled God of Thunder God of War, Ichor's debut album thematically focuses on Slavic paganism. In fact, the moniker Ichor itself the ancient Greek word for the fluid that runs in the gods' veins; the concept behind using that word was that the only difference between humanity and the gods is a physical substance or principal, thusly meaning that humanity can rise to the ranks of gods. With that foundation at hand, Ichor's God of Thunder God of War indeed soars to the heights - and likewise depths - through a sinuous surge of stout, atmospherically inclined black metal. In many ways, the album's a culmination and consolidation of the paradigmatic Australian black metal sound pioneered by Nazxul - and, by proxy, Ichor - as it wends and wends through the sturm und drang, the tragedy and triumph, for which OZBM has become so renown for nearly two decades. Suitably, here is a sound both timeless and current, breathing the essence of ancient days and charging forward across the present simultaneously: grim majesty and bittersweet melodicism commingle, their tendrils locking together as the almost-levitational thrust of Ichor's palpable physicality takes flight. It all makes for high drama, suggestive of a narrative arc, and its remarkably compact six-song/37-minute runtime feels far more epic than it has any right to be. Understandably, the album contains a rerecording of one of the original demo tracks, titled "Daughters Of Wrath" - a song about the cunning folk and practitioners of the Slavonic native faith, witches. Let it be known, however, that God of Thunder God of War is no mere "retro" gesture: Ichor are currently working on new material, and will be an ongoing band. In the meantime, hail the old gods - God of Thunder God of War! Malum Sky’s self titled debut EP was released to critical acclaim in 2015. After earning their stripes in the grass-roots music scene, the band emerged triumphantly on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air Festival in 2017.
