Finnish melodic death / black metallers Arctora present "I Am Human" official music video12/10/2022 From the cold north, the storm arrives. "I Am Human" is a track taken from the band's album "The Storm Is Over", out via Wormholedeath worldwide. Band statement: "We wanted the music video for "I Am Human" to be aggressive, simple, and straight to the point. Nothing too fancy about the story elements. Close to how you would see us play live. We had an absolute blast filming and all credit for how the video turned out goes to Juho Jokimies. We can't thank him enough!" Enjoy the video!" Combining all genres of northern metal, Arctora will take you on a journey through a landscape of the soul. Through summer storms and raging blizzards, from the quiet woodlands to vast forests of snow. A promise of hope and the inevitable feeling of melancholy. Arctora tells stories of personal struggles with introspective and vivid lyrics, hoping to offer solace to the listener in their own troubles. The feeling of catharsis through music. "Let not your heart be turned to stone, By all manner of earthly woes" Band line-up:

Hardcore / thrash / crossover band Cage Fight have released new single "Eating Me Alive" ft. the late, great Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder. Opening up about struggles with mental health, the "Eating Me Alive" lyric video has been released on World Mental Health Day, the international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.
One of — if not the final — recording by Strnad, the video was originally planned for May 13, which was Cage Fight's album release day. But the drop was postponed due to Strnad's tragic unexpected passing just days before. Trevor's support for singer Rachel Aspe's work played a key role in the formation of Cage Fight, which is why his contribution to their debut album is so special. And the subject matter — struggles with anxiety and mental health — makes this poignant song even more significant. Aspe comments:- "Over COVID I was looking for a new project and releasing covers for something to do, but also to hopefully connect with other musicians. When I released my cover of 'Statutory Ape,' Trevor picked up on it and shared from The Black Dahlia Murder's pages, and it got a lot of attention. Trevor messaged me to say he loved it, and hoped that I'd find a band off the back of the cover. Not long after James (Monteith, guitar) contacted me about Cage Fight and the rest is history. Had it not been for Trevor's support, Cage Fight may never have happened; it was a huge honour to have him guest on this song and it meant the world to us. He was one of the greatest supporters of the scene and new music, and is truly missed. RIP Trevor." On the song's content, bassist Jon Reid comments:- "'Eating Me Alive' is about the day-to-day struggles and challenges with mental health that are so prominent to so many people and how the sorrow and loneliness can have a tangible effect. This is something personal to us and we wanted to let people know that they are not alone. We can all have these feelings and that most importantly there is help out there, and we can all find something special. We have chosen to release this on World Mental Health day as a sign of solidarity." With the new single, Cage Fight are urging fans to show support by purchasing the Trevor Strnad memorial shirt. All proceeds will help Trevor's family cover expenses incurred by his death and benefit the Common Ground Resource & Crisis Center. Purchase and donate here. Now firm favourites on the live circuit, Cage Fight have announced their first ever UK headline tour in December 2022. CAGE FIGHT ARE: Rachel Aspe — Vocals James Monteith — Guitar Jon Reid — Bass Nick Plews — Drums Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing of Exocrine! The French kings of technical death metal have been kicking in heads since their arise in 2015 and have released their fifth album in 2022. When you think of death metal filled with flying tempos, technicalities and brutality to the max, Exocrine is your best friend! Exocrine comment on the signing: "We can’t say how proud we are and what an honour it is to join Season Of Mist! They have supported so many iconic bands that are part of our influences in many different styles. SoM is the perfect platform for our music, and we can’t wait to work with them and start the composition of our next album! We will stay true to ourselves while innovating and SoM totally puts us in confidence for that and for the future!" With the release of the the Bordeaux-based group Exocrine's first album 'Unreal Existence' in 2015, the band found their way into the world of technical death metal. The release of 'The Hybrid Suns' in 2022 is their career-defining fifth record, a concept album studying the voyage between life and death, and showcases a jaw-dropping level of musicianship. Continuing to push the boundaries of extremity and precision playing, Exocrine are the bridge between the ferocity of Archspire and Cryptopsy, and the potent progressive leanings of Obscura and Gorod. The band comments: "'The Hybrid Suns' is the first titular offering, introducing a new concept with a complex narrative frame to set the tone for the forthcoming album. As usual we have paid particular attention on the technical aspects and the speed, however this time we've pushed harder on the epic side of things to create a more grandiose sound!" Line-up
Rockshots Records is proud to announce their latest signing of power metallers Highlord for the release of their new album "Freakin' Out of Hell" due out on December 9th. Infusing heavy-power metal with progressive and symphonic influences was formed in Turin Italy in 1997, over the span of their career they have released eight albums, contributed to two tribute albums for Manowar and Helloween, have toured all over Europe and performed with Zak Steven’s Circle II Circle, Dark Moor, Freedom Call, Pino Scotto, Vision Divine, Elvenking, Sacred Steel, Seventh Wonder and more along with music featured on movie soundtracks for 'The Werewolf Chronicles' and 'Blood Of The Werewolf'. For their ninth album "Freakin’ Out Of Hell", the band began recording it between May 2020 and December 2021. The album includes 11 tracks of pure power-metal in perfect Highlord style, but with a much more aggressive sound and a touch of prog-metal. Again the album has been recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced in-house by bass player Massimiliano Flak at Evolution Recording Studio (Italy). The album’s artwork was created by Harley Velasquez on a concept by Highlord. The band adds about the ninth offering: "Freakin’ out of Hell is a solid work from every point of view. Not only the songs are all potential singles, but they have more or less the same average length of 4/5 minutes; we avoided recording the classic long suite just as much as the hit-and-run happier song because in this album we have found the perfect balance between all the elements of our sound. We have also set the average level of heaviness and aggression a bit higher; this is not a happy metal record, it’s a heavy metal piece that fully deserves this definition." The album is already available for pre-order: https://bit.ly/Highlord_CD Singles are to be revealed in the coming weeks. https://www.rockshots.eu https://www.facebook.com/highlordmetalband Bahrain Metal band Ryth have set November 11th, 2022 as international release date for their debut full-length album Deceptor Creator! Album was recorded by the band themselves and mixed at Studio77-Bahrain, and mastered by Alan Douches. Ryth states: "Deceptor Creator tells a story of creation, sacrifice and overcoming self, becoming something higher by drive of love and hate, but everything created is fated for destruction... a greater darkness (or light) exists beyond us. We are very excited to release our first-ever album which means a lot to us. We hope for everyone to enjoy it and to reach a new crowd with it." Ryth is the 4-piece band formerly known as Rain In Hell formed in 2008 and have been very active in the Bahrain scene since then, concentrating on their live shows in local metal fests while playing originals that were never released. This is the first time they shifted efforts to releasing said originals. Playing blackened death metal with a technical and progressive edge, their innovative structure and style incorporates clean and aggressive vocals with more progressive elements. https://www.instagram.com/rythbh/ https://twitter.com/rythbh https://www.facebook.com/rythbh/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVRu8Vw7bixn0Qj2aFC0wqQ https://open.spotify.com/artist/3DQBT21E2bXOA9NRg8eQRJ https://music.apple.com/us/artist/ryth/1556517335 Danish deathcore / metalcore faction Unseen Faith are back with brand new single feat. Siamese8/10/2022 Unseen Faith deliver a crushing fusion between deathcore and metalcore at the highest standard, with compositions that naturally move between dark and groovy to exalted atmospheric breathing halts. Armed with heavy guitar riffs, lots of energy and neck-wrecking breakdowns, the quintet is more than ready to make an impression on the world, with what they define as their finest songs yet. Following the latest LP “Evoke”, they now unveil their brand new single 'Deadly Potential', which features a guest performance from Mirza Radonjica of Siamese - watch the accompanying music video below. “Deadly Potential is about how everyone is a carrier of badness and how one thing can split friends and family into atoms. A call to look inward and scrutinize one's actions. Because if we simply react instinctively and recklessly, what is left in the end?”, the band muses. The coming singles will force the listeners to take a clear view, or enlighten them as to where the band perceives we as humans or/and society fails—building our empire around ourselves with a desire and thirst for more while forgetting the people we care about. Unseen Faith invite you to take a stand, by bringing new perspectives to the conversation and debate about cultural differences. In a world of opportunities, it is likely to dwell in our small worlds and bury ourselves inside our own fortress. The new singles are produced and mixed by Chris Kreutzfeldt (Cabal, Ghost Iris) at Badcat Studio. The first single 'Deadly Potential' featuring Siamese, is already available on all streaming services. https://www.facebook.com/UnseenFaith/ https://www.instagram.com/unseenfaithband/ https://bio.to/UnseenFaith The Intense new track titled "Fight Alone," from alternative metal band, Motive Black (AFM Records) is out now. Produced by Grammy-winner Nick Rowe (Bloodsimple, Vampire Weekend), the track showcases the vocal prowess of frontwoman Elana Justin, and features Ray Luzier (Korn) on drums and Nick Rowe on guitar, bass and co-songwriting credits. "This song is about losing yourself in passion," Elana Justin says. "Attraction is a powerful thing, it can be amazing, but also vicious. It can engulf you, and cloud your mind, but also awaken you in ways you never thought possible. Everything feels dangerous and so alive." She adds: "This song was super intense to create. It’s dark, vivid, and emotional. I felt really raw and almost animalistic when I was writing it. When Ray came in and added drums it brought everything to a new level that I believe only he is capable of tapping into." Ray Luzier says "Elana’s a very powerful, emotional singer. Her aggressive yet dynamic lyrics are refreshing to hear. I think this record is gonna turn a lot of heads. We really need great, fresh-sounding, new music like Motive Black, now more than ever!!" The track will be on the upcoming album titled Auburn. Justin says " Auburn is named for my sister who unfortunately passed away. She had beautiful auburn hair. Losing her forced me to reexamine my life and make significant changes. I went through a huge transitional period which included both ugly and beautiful experiences. The album is a wild ride through that journey of anger, mania, deep love, and self discovery." "Fight Alone" was produced at the legendary NRG Studios in North Hollywood, Calif. by Grammy-winning Nick Rowe (Vampire Weekend, Lamb Of God, Madonna, Snoop Dogg) and mixed by Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Korn, Papa Roach). Motive Black will appeal to fans of Evanescence, Delain, Follow The Cypher, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, New Years Day, In This Moment, Shinedown. 'A Psylacybic Death' is the second visceral single to be released from Abduction's new album, Black Blood, which is set for release on 21st October via Candlelight Records.
Abduction state: "'A Psylacybic Death' speaks, obtusely, of wisdom lost through time. The song entails a drug induced death ritual inspired by the Eleusinian Mysteries whereby the subject hallucinates and is visited by creatures of the cosmic realm, before dissolving from tangible terra firma into the ether. The illusive RM of Revenant Marquis performed a particularly heinous ritual across this track, at my request. I am very pleased to have collaborated with him. 'I wish no ill, but all to death.'" Formed in 2016 as a shadowy single-man entity, Abduction have made astonishingly fast progress, carving a fearsome reputation for themselves as a standout act in an increasingly crowded extreme metal scene. Performing alone in the early years – a rare sight, despite the many one-man bands in the genre – Abduction’s central protagonist A|V then expanded the band into a full live outfit, to better create intense, ritualistic and immersive performances, both at underground shows and larger festivals.
The forthcoming release of Black Blood sees Abduction’s most ambitious and rewarding album to date. Recorded – like its predecessor, 2019’s All Pain As Penance – by Ian Boult at Stuck on a Name Studios in Nottingham, this nightmarish yet entrancing listen pushes Abduction into new territories without straying from their core sound. From the hypnotically earnest and haunting opener ‘In Exaltation of the Supreme Being’, to the expansive 11-minute epic ‘Plutonian Gate’, with its marked progressive and psychedelic overtones, to the blend of uncompromising, stripped-down black metal and slower, almost post-metal textures of ‘A Psylacybic Death’, it is an intense and dynamic experience. Black Blood draws both from the band’s roots and new inspirations. The fact that members of British black metal bands The Sun’s Journey Through the Night and Revenant Marquis appear is a welcome nod to where Abduction come from, yet the fact that the band are atypical for a UKBM act – no rousing odes to England or 90s Scandinavian formulas here – is perhaps their most precious attribute. Their distinctive qualities have also earnt them a place on the roster of one of extreme metal’s most famous labels, Candlelight Records, a definite milestone. “Before this album was recorded, I knew I wanted to step things up a few notches in terms of taking this vision to a wider audience,” A|V states. “Candlelight approached me – indirectly, as they didn’t know who I was behind the mask – and offered a deal that more than meets where I want to take this project. Rather than continue to exist in the well-established sphere I’ve grown comfortable in, I decided that now is the time to take a leap into the unknown. Much like the narratives of the songs, there is both trepidation and elation. Time will be the judge…” Abduction online: Candlelight Records online: Website || Facebook || Twitter || Instagram || Youtube Art Gates Records are excited to introduce Spanish contemporary metal act Nulled as the new versatile artist to enter into their family of international talents! Nulled is a new emerging band formed back in 2018 in the modern metal scene from Spain, combining fast & sharpened guitar riffs with catchy melodies and drums that could destroy a wall, their music is the perfect mixture of all band members' influences. The song is the first single out from their upcoming album "Hiraeth", which will be released in January 2023 via ViciSolum Productions. Mask of Prospero is a progressive metalcore band that was built based on love for the human and the earthly element of life, for the feelings that spring from music, but also for the music that springs from this feeling. The character of a band, after all, is not formed only by the externalization of ideas, but mostly through an internal struggle to construct a unique identity. "Lament" is a dialogue of the soul, penetrating deep emotions above and beyond what man has been able to hear. It is a form of awareness, emanating from realistic experiences teeming with cynicism and melancholy, based on an axiom: that every person who happens to be a part of your daily routine, even for a while, lives a life as vivid and complex as yours· people who have been in our lives for a while and have treated us badly or made us realize things, and then disappear, leaving behind ashes of experiences, but also traces that may never be erased.
