The Finnish theatrical metal newcomers Lost In Grey shied the public so far. Founded back in 2013, the Finnish sextet around front man Harri Koskela entrenched themselves over the course of the last years to give their debut album "The Grey Realms“ the final polishing. But who are the people entering the stage? It is time to introduce the cast. No need to fear, have a peek: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo1WHCKV4Dc Lost In Grey states: "Greetings all thee! Now listen carefully, and you will see. Let us introduce ourselves: we’re Lost in Grey. Our entourage is here portrayed. This time on stage undisguised, hoping that you feel surprised. However, gentle, do not reprehend. If you pardon, we will mend. As this may seem quite distorted eventually you’ll be rewarded. Just stay out of quarrel and of fray, Yours sincerely, Lost In Grey" The debut album will be released March 03rd, 2017 via NoiseArt. www.lostingrey.fi www.facebook.com/Lostingrey www.noiseart.eu Iranian death metal stalwarts Azooma return with a new album, their debut full length, after shocking everyone with their incredibly well-received EP titled 'A Hymn of the Vicious Monster'. The new album has taken things even further, showcasing superior songwriting and masterful execution. There's a special quality to their semi-technical structuring which remains intriguing even after a few listens. Musically, it's comparable to bands like Opeth (mid-period), Disincarnate, Gorguts, Nile, Ade, Hour of Penance and more, but Azooma strive to develop a sound of their own rather than directly emulating any of their death metal peers. To that extent, they succeed remarkably well. Azooma's death metal doesn't abandon the roots and yet does something progressive and adds its own flavour to it Shahin Vaqfipour - Vocals Ahmad Tokallou - Guitar Farid Shariat - Bass Saeed Shariat - Drums Xtreem Music Bandcamp Xtreem Music Official Site Xtreem Music Facebook Azooma Facebook Iran based Post Metal band The Unknown release their first official video-clip and it is for the new unreleased track titled "Meanwhile In Our World"; here is the url: https://youtu.be/rOt_jjujIFY The video-clip directed by Farzad Yaghobi and produced by AliReza Marjoyi, is about the crazy situation at this moment, with people in misery, war, terror and madness all over our World and represents their way to denounce terrorism. It presents for the first time the band in a new great international line-up: Aria Moghaddam from Iran (vocals, guitars and keys), Kevin Pribulsky from USA (drums and keys), Arash Babakan from Iran (bass), Anaé Lrnt from France (female voice). Digital release date: 25th November 2016 (Wormholedeath/The Orchard) U.S.A: 13th January 2017 (Wormholedeath U.S.A.) Europe (Aural Music Group) and Japan (Wormholedeath Japan /Tower Records Japan) TBA. Altered Shade is a metal band from the south-west of France, that play a powerful death/thrash metal with raw energy through punchy grooves adding a melodic and dark touch. The project was born during spring 2009 when Rudy (guitar) and Cedric (drums) met. Several musicians joined the band, and during January 2012 the final line up was completed by the arrival of Fab (bass), Romain (guitar) and Edwin (vocals). Their music is influenced by old school death, thrash and heavy metal, but also by dark, black, power and brutal. The lyrics are about esotericism and fantasy, but always linked to human psychology. After a few concerts, the band recorded two demos, the last one during 2014. Altered Shade were discovered by the producer Johnathan Mazzeo, which brought the band to record their first album in Prato Italy at the Mathlab Recording Studio under the flag of Wormholedeath Records. This first album “The Path of Souls” has been recorded and mixed by Johnathan Mazzeo and mastered by Chris Donaldson at the Grid studio Montreal Canada. It will be released in fall 2016. https://www.facebook.com/AlteredShade http://www.wormholedeath.com https://www.facebook.com/WormHoleDeath Celebrating their 10th anniversary next year, the melodic metal quartet Dead End Finland is releasing their third full-length album worldwide on the 4th of November 2016 via Inverse Records. The album bears the name Slaves To The Greed and continues on the same path with previous albums, but taking all the musical dimensions even further and deeper. Slaves to the Greed´s production value is top notch, no wonder it took over two years to get this album done. Each instrument and each sound were perfectly validated. With number of tracks reaching over 200 in some songs, the sound of this album is absolutely massive. Slaves to the Greed was recorded, like previous albums at the prestigious D-Studio and they are so very pleased with the result. The sound is fuller and heavier, however crystal clear and dynamic. The band really hope that the album is listened to as a whole, because it has been built that way. Still it is not exactly a concept album and every track has it´s own story. Dead End Finland recommend to put your headphones on and spend a joyful 45 minutes of listening. They hope that this album will reveal something new every time you listen it. There's maybe not any hidden messages when playing it backwards, but if you turn it loud and play it with 150db volume, it sounds louder than Jumbo jet. Set for a highly anticipated vinyl version on November 25th via Blood Harvest Records, hear the entirety of Totten Korps' Supreme Commanders of Darkness exclusively HERE. Founded in 1989 in Santiago, Chile, Totten Korps is one of the extreme metal pioneers of the nation, as well as being an influence to the current generation of Chilean death metal bands. The band was born amidst the chaos arising from the military dictatorship ruling the country at the time - a scenario that fuelled the goal of recording their first demo, 1990's The King of Hell Reclaims His Throne, and subsequently their second demo, 1992's From the Infernal Resurrection. In 1993, the band signed their first record deal with Hellion Records from Brazil, thus managing to cross the Chilean borders to disseminate their sombre death metal throughout the globe. In 2001, Totten Korps at last released their debut album, Tharnheim: Athi-Land-Nhi; Ciclopean Crypts of Citadels, on the cult Repulse Records. During a dry period for true death metal, this first full-length proved to be a dark gem, and is now held as a mini-classic with many. Never one for half measures, always patiently taking their time, Totten Korps would stay quiet for the rest of the decade whilst working on new material, but at long last arrives their highly anticipated second album, Supreme Commanders of Darkness. Released in South America on CD at the end of last year, Supreme Commanders of Darkness proves that time has not dulled Totten Korps' fire; if anything, the quartet's more incensed than ever. And just like they've never been away, like 14 years haven't actually passed since their last recording, Totten Korps explode with all the wild, winding fury that made their early work so cherished. And yet, despite the immediate conflagration at hand, there's a pronounced technical aspect at play across the album, ably rendering their apocalyptic terror all the more mind-bending and -mangling and preserving their old-school roots all the while. Bow before the Supreme Commanders of Darkness, all of which can be streamed HERE courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine. Pre-order for the album can be found HERE. Future Hopes, their first album since 2011's well-received Terminal Twilight sees WHITE WILLOW exploring some of the most "progressive" territory the band has ever ventured into, with several very lengthy tracks and more instrumental stretching out than they are usually known for. The album features a heavy use of synthesizers, including the unique textures of the Yamaha CS80, the famed Blade Runner synth; the movie, and Vangelis' music for it, was one of the influences on the album. Offers founding White Willow guitarist Jacob Holm-Lupo, "Future Hopes is loosely tied together by a science fiction concept, a 'love among the ruins' story." Delving deeper into the creation of the album he continues, "Future Hopes is our seventh album, and a sequel of sorts to our two other conceptual albums, Terminal Twilight and Storm Season. We're extremely excited and impatient to share the music, which features both our new singer, Venke Knutson -- a well-known artist in her own right here in Norway with several Top 10 hits to her credit -- as well as guest appearances by guitar wizard Hedvig Mollestad (Hedvig Mollestad Trio) and world-renowned clarinettist David Krakauer. Returning from the Terminal Twilight line-up are Mattias Olsson (Necromonkey, ex-Änglagård), Ellen Andrea Wang (PIxel, Manu Katché Group), Lars Fredrik Frøislie (Wobbler) and Ketil Einarsen (Kaukasus, ex-Jaga Jazzist)." Musically the album follows logically from the previous one, but with a bit more instrumental stretching out, especially thanks to Hedvig's guitar, and the modern production approach of the record. Future Hopes was mixed by the highly respected Norwegian engineer Christian Engfelt, known for his work on the Elephant9 / Reine Fiske album, Atlantis and the Todd Rundgren / Lindstrøm collaboration, Runddans, with several of his productions having been Grammy-nominated and / or won in Norway. The record was mastered by Grammy Award-winning audiophile legend Bob Katz, and completed with a specially commissioned painting by Roger Dean. Laser's Edge will release Future Hopes on CD, LP, and all digital platforms in the first quarter of 2017; a final release date will be issued alongside the cover art, track listing, and much more in the coming days. http://www.whitewillow.info https://www.facebook.com/pages/White-Willow/47941758117?ref=ts http://www.lasersedgegroup.com http://www.facebook.com/TheLasersEdge http://www.twitter.com/thelasersedge Skyfire are delighted to welcome symphonic metallers Dead Of Night to their roster.
