Death metal alchemists Obscure Burial premiere the new track "Necrophagous Ritual" at Decibel magazine's website. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated debut album, fittingly self-titled, set for international release on December 15th via Invictus Productions. Hear Obscure Burial's "Necrophagous Ritual" in its entirety exclusively HERE. Hailing from Finland, Obscure Burial are Death Metal incarnate. No memory, no past nor future, but the fertile blackness of One and Only, the Lawless King, son of the stillborn moment: Obscure Burial emerged from the lifeless womb in the year 2012. Not long after, their debut demo, God’s Abomination, is released by Invictus and the cult begins. Two years later came Epiphany, the band's second demo, again released by Invictus. Here, their ruthlessly eldritch death metal receives a more advance and dynamic approach, and the fever surrounding the name begins to build ever further. Now, after a minor line-up change, the time is at hand for the band's debut album: Obscure Burial. Truly a magnum opus of all that's come before within their enviable arsenal, Obscure Burial don't so much alter their steadfast formula as simply perfect it. For true believers with ears and hearts wide open shall bear witness, upon one mere spin of Obscure Burial, that the ancient black/death magic is filthier than ever and effervescently captured in truly terrorizing 3D, raw and reckless and yet deadly fucking clear. The well of influence - the fuck-off-forever sounds of Necrovore, Profanatica, Sadistic Intent, and early Possessed - is still being supped from, but here, Obscure Burial put their own personal spin on it, piling on miles of malevolence and obscurity atop. These eight songs each explode into being, and from each spring endless detonations that reverberate hideously into the abyss. In its compact and coruscating 37 minutes, Obscure Burial accomplishes every inch of its title and moniker: this is an obscure burial, from which no listener can claw his way to the surface. Timeless and taunting, Obscure Burial have delivered their first grand work. For all ends, for we are in Death - we stand eternal. Face the beginning of the end exclusively HERE, courtesy of Decibel, North America's only monthly metal magazine. The previously revealed track "Imago Mortis" can be heard at Invictus' Bandcamp HERE. The new video versions of "New World Fiction" and "Tearful Farewell" were recorded and filmed at an intimate evening of live acoustic music, captured at a private residence in by Until Rain's hometown of Thessaloniki in June 2017. See Until Rain's acoustic live versions of "New World Fiction" HERE and "Tearful Farewell" HERE. Inure sees Until Rain exploring the dark world of psychological/emotional abuse, loss, and doubt and it presents the darkest side of the band thus far. The album was recorded by the band in various European cities, including Thessaloniki, London, Gothenburg, and Lausanne, and mixed/mastered by Daniel Cardoso of Anathema in Lisbon, Portugal (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema, Head Control System). The album features beautiful artwork by Greek artist/designer Nassia Kefala, and a hand-drawn cover that completely represents the concept of the album and the duality of many inured people; appearing lush on the outside, yet they are rotted inside. The video features visuals from world renowned sand animation artist Kseniya Simonova and the song includes guest appearance by Dutch Progressive Rock mastermind Arjen Lucassen on guitar. Songwriter and keyboard player Constantin Glantz comments: “‘Eternal Child’ was written at the last stage of the album recordings, almost like a flash of lightning coming out of nowhere. It literally took about 40 minutes to come up with the music and the basic lyrics, something that never happened so fast for me before. It’s almost like the song had written itself and all I had to do was document it quickly before it faded away. And this one really felt like it could be a great closing piece on the record, sort of a final missing part of the puzzle. Speaking of lyrics, I believe it captures, in particular, that slightly nostalgic feeling about everything that a grown person is bound to lose when childhood is over, and the rediscovery of the will to live and learn, to be flexible and curious about things again and again, to have those dreams and do whatever it takes to fulfil them. I'd like to note that Noa [Gruman] has made a hell of a journey in vocal dynamics and range here — from very intimate verses to soaring, high range choruses. And it's obviously a great honour to feature Arjen Lucassen with a truly mesmerizing guitar solo contribution. When I was much younger, exploring these influential Ayreon records in the late ‘90s, I could only dream about such a collaboration becoming reality one day. Last but not least, special thanks to Kseniya Simonova — the world’s leading sand animation artist and inventor of original plastic animation techniques featured here. I'm a long time admirer of her art, it's very unique. She totally loved the track, and her masterful job is a great visual counterpart to the things we were trying to express musically and lyrically.” Of Clans and Clones and Clownes was released on June 23, 2017. Featuring 70+ minutes of music, prime international guests, which include Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One), Yossi Sassi (Orphaned Land, solo), and mixed by the legendary Jens Bogren (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Paradise Lost, etc.), the album enjoys great feedback and interest from the international Progressive Rock and Metal audience. You can listen to the full album streaming and order the album here: https://soulenema.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/SoulEnemOfficial/ www.soulenema.com Onirica is an ardent work by a heavy metal sound with symphonic touches and vague gothic atmospheres. The album intents to bring the listener through an amazing journey into the dream world, hence the title "Onirica", in the dreams and fears of the human soul. Heavy riffs hold up catchy and dreamy melodies. The voice ranges from lyric to modern with aggressive and soft interpretations and in two songs ("Kill Your Pain" and "Luceafarul") is completed by the precious collaboration of Fabio Dessi, the voice of Arthemis. On the back of two hotly received demos - 2014's Dystheism, which Blood Harvest later released on 7" vinyl, and 2015's Cyclical Descent of Causality - California's VoidCeremony have been patiently perfecting their craft. Although both demos were suitably rough in production, the execution was flawless - and fierce. Now, with the release of Foul Origins of Humanity, VoidCeremony have at last fully capitalized on their mesmerizing, mind-bending potential. Everything that made those two demos special have been taken to extremes here, and with extreme focus and finesse: blackened death metal sprawling with labyrinthine technicality and endless corridors of unexplored realms. Foul Origins of Humanity is just as much a dizzying, bilious beast, VoidCeremony's songs here twisting and contorting in ever-more-obscene ways, but now captured with a clarity that's absolutely blanching to behold. The Foul Origins of Humanity are here, and VoidCeremony have thrown down the gauntlet...that is, until their forthcoming debut album for Blood Harvest arrives. In the meantime, hear the new track "Through the Woe of the Dismal Pandemonium" HERE at Blood Harvest's Bandcamp. Preorder info can be found HERE. Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing of Insanity Alert. The Austrian crossover party thrashers will release next album and also reissue their debut full-length through Season of Mist. Insanity Alert comment: "We are extremely happy to announce that we are now part of the Season of Mist family. It is an honour to work with a label that has produced so many great records. First up will be the re-release of our self-titled debut album from 2014, which will be soon followed by a new full-length in 2018. Tout détruire!" Insanity Alert were founded in the Austrian city of Innsbruck in the year 2011. Their declared intent: to deliver crushing crossover party thrash. This tongue-in-cheek concept backed up by strong musical prowess worked out extremely well as their 'First Diagnosis' proved in 2012. This demo was well received and the first impression of the public quickly confirmed by the 'Second Opinion', which came out the next year. In 2014, the eponymous debut full followed and 'Insanity Alert' delighted critics and fans alike. The wild Tyrolians, always eager to please, served a juicy 'Moshburger' (2016) next and started to reap the rewards of their crazy live shows and quality output. Insanity Alert were invited to perform at prestigious festivals such as Hellfest, Summer Breeze, Motocultor among many others and shared stages with some of their favourite acts such as Suicidal Tendencies, Municipal Waste, D.R.I., Sodom, Toxic Holocaust, and many more. In January 2018, the Austrians will be part of the Persistence Tour alongside Hatebreed, Madball, Terror, and others. Insanity Alert are currently writing the follow-up to 'Moshburger', which is scheduled to be released via Season of Mist in 2018.
