The Scars In Pneuma (“The Scars in the Soul” – from “πνεύμα”, ancient Greek word for “breath”, “breath of life” and, in a religious context, for “spirit”, “soul”) is a black metal act based in Brescia, Italy. The band will release their debut album via Promethean Fire / Kolony Records in early 2019. The record is a visceral, multi-faceted flow that often blurs the line between black, death and melodic death-doom metal. More details, pre-orders, alongside many more news will be unveiled soon. In the meantime, a song off the album, first single "Spark To Fire To Sun", is now streaming on YouTube. Check it out HERE! The Scars In Pneuma initially started as a solo project of Lorenzo Marchello (vocals / guitars / bass) in the beginning of 2017, and it turned to a band when trusted musicians Francesco Lupi (guitars) and Daniele Valseriati (drums) joined the ranks later during the same year. As we have hinted at above, musically, The Scars In Pneuma provides it's own particular black metal style, which can be defined as a mix of black metal, death metal with melodic riffing and epic passages, with a touch of doomy mood. Some bands that can be cited as inspiration are Dissection, Mgła, Be'lakor, Rotting Christ, Forgotten Tomb, Blut Aus Nord, Emperor. Lyrically, The Scars In Pneuma is all about themes such as dealing with your own demons, life's biggest regrets, the passing of time, the beloved people we lost. Escaping from the dark places in the imagination, Portuguese hellions Besta take inspiration from horror movies and blend them into a frantic, feedback-laden mash-up of punk-rock and old school grindcore, imagine Bad Brains mutating alongside Napalm Death, always with their own creative vein on top of every tune they deliver, with a political axe to grind, shouted on their native Portuguese tongue. With 9 confrontational releases since 2012, and shows alongside Eyehategod, Napalm Death, Cattle Decapitation, Mob 47, Cryptopsy, Possessed, Massgrave, Deathrite, Obituary, Mantar or Conan to name a few, touring between Europe and South America and solid appearances on festivals such as Obscene Extreme or Resurrection Fest. The year 2019 set a new chapter, signing with Germany´s Lifeforce Records and the band 2nd full length album titled "Eterno Rancor", a socially conscious record from 4 guys that feeds on pulverizing and skull fracturing punk/grindcore, raucous landscapes, and honesty. Besta features members of Sinistro and Redemptus. New album "Eterno Rancor" out March 15th, 2019 Visit and "like" the band's Facebook page and stay tuned about latest news and live shows. Pure Steel Records are excited to announce the world wide signing of Florida based Heavy Metal band Attika! The re-issue will be followed by the bands first album of all new music in 26 years! The new Attika album will be titled "Metal Lands". This anticipated new album will drop in 2019. The album is released November 30th by Finnish Inverse Records. The band released today a music video for the track 'Настало время'. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/kz6rtVBogVc Even thought there are some changes compared to their latest EP “Победа” (“Victory”), the band remains true to heavy metal traditions, thus having found the unique sound which may be defined as “indie power metal”. The modern heavy sound combined with the elements taken from the music of the 70’s characterizes the release - rich vocal harmonies will remind you of such bands as Uriah Heep, Queen or Sweet, and the use of acoustic instruments (particularly, the ukulele) brings a distinctive shade of folk to the music. Their debut single, 'Into The Black' was released late July 2018 via Heavy Magazine - and now they return with a brand new single 'Stay Awake' - and the announcement of their debut EP. The EP, which shares the name of that first single will be released on Friday February 1 2019 into all good online stores and streaming outlets. Pre-Orders for the EP will be live in digital stores soon and the 'Stay Awake' single will be live for streaming and purchase Friday November 16. ‘Stay Awake’ is the second single from their forthcoming EP and incorporates subtle synth elements whilst still encompassing The Last Martyr’s heavy, yet catchy ideals. Monica Strut, vocalist for the heavy outfit, said that "The song speaks of the doubts we all face in pursuit of our goals and in particular, the inner battle we have with ourselves often right before that goal is achieved, when we feel like giving up because we can’t see what lies ahead." The 'Into The Black' EP was Mixed and mastered by Ted Furuhashi of Melbourne's Circles. Vocalist Monica Strut continued about the new track:- "Stay Awake is about the moment, right before you hit a massive goal - where you consider giving up. For me, most of the lyrics were written right before I found my now bandmates. I was trying to convince myself to hang in a little longer and keep my game face on. I believe when this happens, it’s the universe’s way of testing us to see how bad we want something." The first single 'Into The Black' saw the band achieve national radio play on triple j and The Faction, as well as abroad in the US and UK within the first week of the song’s release. Since then, ‘Into The Black’ has been streamed tens of thousands of times across all platforms. Check it out here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZA1S-hJZco&feature=youtu.be Music Feeds said that the single 'Into The Black’ is "powered by thundering beats, dark, schizoid riffage and the powerhouse dual clean/scream assault vocals of front-dudette Monica Strut" and Depth Magazine said that the first single "...features some very promising signs. The instrumentals are very impressive, with the guitars manically twisting and turning around each other through the verses. Purring and ripping through the song, they are your salvation from the darkness, as combined with the bass they project the intended mood of the song into your very soul." The 'Into The Black' EP will see its release on Friday February 1 2019 and will be available for pre-orders soon and single 'Stay Awake' will be live for purchase and streaming Friday November 16. facebook.com/thelastmartyr Heat Of Damage is a four-piece Metal band from Sacramento, California. Originating in a state that has brought the metal world countless legendary bands, Heat Of Damage’s genesis is rooted in a place incredibly ripe for the development of something new. Bay Area Thrash, with groups like Metallica and Exodus; home-town heroes Deftones and Papa Roach; and an extensive list of other influences all laid the foundation upon which Heat Of Damage continues to build. Dynamics and energy dominate the band’s live performances and not a fraction of these elements is lost in their recorded productions. From humble beginnings in the suburbs of Sacramento, years of dedication and a drive to constantly refine their craft have brought Heat Of Damage to the forefront of the Northern Californian metal scene. They, just like the genre of metal itself, stay true to their roots while never losing sight of what’s before them: something new. Something special waiting to be realized. Heat Of Damage aspires to take their brand of heavy music to the masses, one metalhead at a time. The group forthcoming album, Cataclysm, is due for release worldwide via Sliptrick Records in 2019. One of black metal's best-kept secrets, Ulvdalir belong to the inner circle of Russia's True Ingrian Black Metal Death, alongside Iron Bonehead labelmates Khashm, with whom they share two members. As such, the sound they've patiently crafted since 2001 - and which made its full-length debut in 2008 with TWO albums, Flame Once Lost and Soul Void, both equally aptly titled - likewise bears a tangibly gnarly physicality contrasted by an almost-levitational aspect: truly, an alchemical melding of aggression and atmosphere. And although they've kept their profile reasonably visible in the intervening years with myriad split recordings and a compilation unearthing a couple lost EPs, ...Of Death Eternal is the first Ulvdalir full-length recording in nearly eight years. Truly worth the wait, ...Of Death Eternal displays the full bloom of Ulvdalir's rotten, bountiful harvest. Swarming with dire intent and unnervingly precise malice, the quartet's attack here pushes and pulls, coils and crushes, but always carries an ever-forward momentum. Equally slipstreaming and trance-inducing, their gnarled 'n' gnarling style of black metal emits space and shade at every crooked turn, finally enveloping the listener whole within their black hole. And each of the album's six central songs patiently unfolds their respective black holes across lengthier track times, yet ones never too exhaustingly long; again, malicious precision is the order of the day on ...Of Death Eternal. In that regard, and alongside the finesse physicality here, one could slot Ulvdalir alongside the more orthodox black metal movements still coursing through Sweden and Greece, but with a sterner sensibility that's distinctly Russian. True Ingrian Black Metal Death reveals its next death-card, and it bears the aspect of Ulvdalir's ...Of Death Eternal. Reflections is an imposing opera of modern female Progressive metal consisting of 8 tracks that range through melodic and evocative passages emphasized by the sweet and powerful voice of Eleonora Buono, to reach complex instrumental and guitar solo steps that surprise the listener! In the band’s words the album is “a sordid journey into the ghastly spirit of our world full of things that itches but cannot be scratched”. For this voyage, Rancorum look forward to immerse you in 37 minutes of sheer primal death metal as in those days where the rhythmics were spine crushing, the riffs were shuddering and the howls of doom were mind grinding.
