Levania, the gothic metalcore group from Italy, have released an official video for the track Reflections, taken from their recent mini-EP Episode 0 released via Sliptrick Records on August 2nd 2019. Here’s what the band had to say about their latest track:- “We’re very proud to announce our latest video for the track Reflections. We started a journey with the EP Episode 0 (where the track is taken from) and Reflections represents the thousands of idiosyncrasies that affected our lifestyle. Today we live in a sick society. We are losing sincerity, human relations and empathy. Humanity is regressing to a “homo homini lupus” level but, we have got a chance to invert this process with …education! In every single action we make we have a possibility; allow the instinct that leads to the fear of the unknown or, thanks to education, trying not to regress in ourselves to beasts. https://youtu.be/QPukuk5f8J0 We tried to put everything into our newest video/work with as much colour and vibes as possible.” The EP opens up with Abyss, a song that addresses the issue of depression, analysing how one can become slaves to one’s demons. Abyss also addresses the issue of moral hazard, when one has to choose how to deal with discomfort. This is followed with Reflections which talks about the all-Italian problem of functional illiteracy. Man is a social animal but if he is not educated, he will remain an animal moved by primitive instincts. In this society appearance is more important than education, and this is leading to an involution of the species. Episode 0 closes with Reckoning, an instrumental outro, both alluring and seductive. Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of Australia's Victoria K for the release of her debut album "Essentia" coming April 2020. The full length was produced by Lee Bradshaw and features special guest Michalina Malisz (Eluveitie). The Melbourne singer/songwriter has made her mark on the rock and metal scene with the release of her debut single 'Monster' in 2016, featuring guitar work by Brett Garsed (John Farnham Band) along with her 2019 follow up track 'Lacuna' distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Warner Music Group (Australia) and is the lead single off the upcoming album. The single garnered a lot of media praise and created an opportunity for Victoria K to support Swiss folk metal giants Eluveitie for their May 2019 tour date in Melbourne, a performance that had the crowd chanting for an encore. Although the album was originally a solo project, it has now developed into the current band structure with each member bringing their own energy and experience to the collective. The band is looking forward to collaborating on future releases and is now heavily focused on the release of this debut full length in April 2020. Victoria K adds: "'Essentia' is Latin for Essence. Essence is the indispensable quality of something that determines its very nature or character. So I guess the album as a whole tries to tackle and define the very nature of humanity. In a way, I’m trying to unravel the complexity of human essence and emotion. It all hopefully leads to being struck by a moment of Sonder - therefore the realization that everyone, including strangers, has a life as complex as our own, despite our lack of awareness of it." Victoria K's talented songwriting and compositional influences include Evanescence, Within Temptation, Nightwish and Kamelot amongst other current bands in the European metal scene and her music have been likened to be a blend of these influences. Victoria K has racked up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube with her own original creations and through featured videos alongside a number of talented musicians covering a plethora of songs. Victoria K's covers include Iron Maiden's "The Trooper", Nightwish's "Last Ride of the Day", Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and Kamelot's "Insomnia", the latter of which received attention from the band themselves on Twitter and led to a meeting of talents when the American power metal band found themselves in Melbourne during their 2018 'The Shadow Theory' Australian tour. Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil) from their recently released album, 'Necrophaze,' that is available now from Nuclear Blast Records. Watch the lyric video for 'Monster' here: https://youtu.be/FE_m7Ya9c6s Purchase 'Necrophaze' here: http://www.nuclearblast.com/w13-necrophaze Purchase 'Necrophaze' bundles here: https://theoraclemanagementmerch.com/collections/wednesday-13 “'Monster' is the 1st Wednesday 13 song recorded to feature guest vocals. I wanted something different than I had ever tried before and I wanted a female vocalist. Cristina was the perfect choice for this song. I gave her the lyrics and some minor details, and she came back with what you hear. She totally floored us with her amazing vocal range and adding a new element never heard on one of our songs before.” – Wednesday 13 “This collaboration was born from blackness. Wednesday and I are both fans of the darkest vision of art and music, and when I was asked to sing with him for the song 'Monster', I immediately visualized his concept and shared it with pleasure. What I love about this song is that some people in life are taking the worst out of us... but demonizing it all and pushing away the tension through notes is the best thing to do.” – Cristina Scabbia Wednesday 13’s 8th studio album, 'Necrophaze,' is available now from Nuclear Blast Records. Featuring special guest appearances from, Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour), Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom), Jeff Clayton (GG Allin’s Murder Junkies) and Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) among others, 'Necrophaze' shocks and surprises with a cauldron of monster riffs and haunting lyrics and have listeners yearning for more. Heavily influenced by real-life night terror occurrences of Wednesday himself, historical serial killers, and a slew of 80’s horror films, the ideas behind 'Necrophaze' are bizarrely familiar, frightening, and a hell of a lot of fun. Being a collector of both media and toys, Wednesday 13 was inspired by a craving for variety to create dual album artwork for this release (seen below). The covers showcase either end of the horror spectrum with a 'Creepshow' comic book vibe for the LP artwork, and the eeriness of something akin to John Carpenter’s 'The Fog' adorning the CD. https://officialwednesday13.com/ https://www.facebook.com/officialwednesday13 https://twitter.com/officialwed13 https://www.instagram.com/mrmotherfucker13/ https://www.youtube.com/WedinHollywood Åland Islands metallers LAMORI are proud to announce that "Neo Noir" will be out on 31/01/2020 via Wormholedeath / Aural. Band statement:- "Neo Noir - The New Black. Finnish goth-masters LAMORI are back. The reservoirs of darkness brings you their take on classic gothic metal mixed with dark wave, modern rock and everything in between. Bigger choruses, stronger melodies and bittersweet darkness all wrapped in a doomy package. The band worked close with both Mazzeo and Belotti all the way from pre-production to the final release. This time around we also put more time and effort on each instrument, especially the vocals. We think this album is a beautiful mix of both old and new LAMORI." From Reservoirs of Darkness and Neon Lit Nightmares rises Finnish five-piece LAMORI. Their sound is defined by uniting Gothic Metal with Dark Wave, Modern Rock and everything in between. Lyrics inspired by cult horror movie maestros and old romanticism furthermore finalize their macabre elegance. The band roots back to 2006. Singer Matias Juselius and guitarist Marcus Pellas had ideas about starting a gothic rock band in their home town of Mariehamn, on The Åland Islands. Jens Wickholm soon joined the duo, followed by Mikael Westerlund on bass. An acoustic live performance was held under the name L'Amori Acoustica. After a fruitless search for a drummer the band was put on ice for nearly two years. The group got together and started rehearsing again in late 2008, still searching for a drummer. Emanuel Sanchez stepped in and joined the group in early 2009. The band was now officially formed. Together they did their first live performance some months later. The constellation has remained the same until this day. Under the name L’Amori (later to be changed to LAMORI), the band recorded their first four track Demo EP in 2011, titled The Reservoirs of Darkness. Their first full-length album Deadly Desires was self-released some years later in 2013. A year after the release of Deadly Desires the band penned a record deal with Italian label Wormholedeath. Their first major album To Die Once Again was released through the label in 2016. It was at this time the band changed the name from L'Amori to the more straightforward LAMORI. The following years the band toured in Finland, Sweden, Latvia and Lithuania and also started working on a new album. The recordings of Neo Noir began in the summer 2018 at Mathlab Studios in Italy, with producers Carlo Belotti and Jonathan Mazzeo. Of the three singles released prior to the album, An Angel by Your Side reached the most praise, hitting 380.000 views on YouTube in only one month. https://www.facebook.com/lamorimusic Greek heavy melodic Goth Rock/Metal act Sede Vacante are currently in the studio recording the new album, furthermore the band has announced their new singer Stephanie Mazor and bassist Nick Gko!
