Canadian heavy power metallers Unleash The Archers reveal video for acclaimed new anthem "Legacy"13/10/2020 In August, breakout Canadian melodic metal quartet Unleash The Archers dropped one of the most highly-acclaimed albums of 2020, Abyss, sparking serious buzz in the metal and rock communities, and beyond. Deservingly, the conceptual benchmark scored banner praise from critics and fans alike, with Stereogum dubbing the opus "a ripper", and Bandcamp enforcing it as "a mandatory listen". Upon release, Abyss charted worldwide, debuting at the #1 spot on the US Current Hard Music and Top New Artist Album charts, #4 and #8 on the US and Canadian Billboard Top 200 Hard Rock charts as well as on #21 in the German album charts. Today, the band is following up on the album's successes by throwing fans a hefty bonus in the form of a new video for the post-drop fan favourite "Legacy" – one of Abyss' standout anthems. Searing in with breakneck blastbeats, cosmic guitar work and frontwoman Brittney Slayes' impeccable vocal delivery, the pop-tinged anthem single-handedly proves the band's position as one of this generation's premier heavy acts, bar none. The new video provides an introspective live-action backdrop to the track's conceptual lyrics. Frontwoman Brittney Slayes explains: "This song means a lot to us as a band, it's pretty different from everything that we've done before and really set the tone for the sonic exploration that is Abyss. When Andrew first brought the intro riff to us we immediately loved it, but we were a little hesitant as we felt our fans might not understand why we were choosing to include this style of track on the album. The hesitation was momentary though, as we all very quickly decided it was too cool not to continue writing, and luckily it seems like our fans have fallen in love with it as well. It's quite theatrical, and yet somehow very simplistic as well. " Watch the new lyric video for "Legacy" HERE Slayes adds about the video: "When it came time to choose the next song for a music video, "Legacy" was the resounding winner, but we wanted to do something a bit more than the traditional lyric video. The band all agreed that this is the kind of track that you put on when you're commuting, when you're wandering through the city just vibin', when you're on that long bus ride or sky-train ride staring out the window at the world passing by... So that's what this video is. It's you hanging out in our heads as we walk the streets of Vancouver, travelling towards something, or away from something, but always moving forward. We hope "Legacy" can be your soundtrack to those everyday moments in life, when you've finally put the phone away to really look around and enjoy the beauty of the world that surrounds you. We genuinely hope it can be a small light in this seemingly never ending darkness, even just for a moment." Unleash The Archers online: Thai heavy metallers Nacarbide have just released the lyric video for the song 'Undisclosed' from their second full-length album. Formed in Nicosia, Cyprus in 2012, Harmonize originally started as a thrash metal band until gradually transforming into the Heavy/Power Metal force that they are today, although the band still maintains some thrash and dark elements in their style. Harmonize have so far released two demos and have performed live numerous times (including shows alongside Blaze Bayley, Bonfire, Wotan and others) while working on fine tuning their sound and style. The band’s upcoming debut album, titled “Warrior in the Night” is scheduled for release on October 2nd and will be out on CD and Digital. It is based on an original epic fantasy fiction story that is still under development by guitarist George Constantinou and London-based actor Nicolina Papas. As expected, battles and swords, kings and queens, angels and demons are but a few of the symbolic themes one will come across as the album’s story unfolds! “Warrior in the Night” includes a couple guest appearances by close friends of the band, one being actor Nicolina Papas on the haunting narrative “Beyond Darkness” outro track of the album and also Andreas Paraschos of death metal act BLYND, who provides the brutal chorus backing vocals on the song “Tonight.” A video for the title track is now available at https://youtu.be/Z2mOojGM-pM For more info visit the band’s website at https://www.harmonizeofficial.com Harmonize line-up: Sozos Michael – Vocals George Constantinou - Rhythm Guitars Lambros Apousianas – Lead Guitars Panagiotis Takkides – Bass Harrys Peratikas – Drums https://www.harmonizeofficial.com https://www.facebook.com/harmonizeofficialpage https://www.instagram.com/harmonize_band https://twitter.com/HarmonizeBand https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1SCa9PmUJrFtafwkFx2rfw/videos Northern Irish Symphonic Power Metallers Ravenlight have just released a haunting new cover of ‘Zenith’ by Ghost. Following on the release of their debut album ‘Project Genesis’ in June of this year, Ravenlight, unfortunately, had their live plans to promote the release cancelled due to the ongoing situation in the world, however, instead of remaining idle, they returned to the studio to record an ambitious cover of the Ghost track. Singer Rebecca Feeney had the following to say about the track: “Zenith may seem a not so obvious song for a cover, however, we went with Zenith for many reasons. I really enjoyed singing along to it, it really suited my range. Furthermore, we felt that Zenith is a very underrated Ghost song, due to the fact that it is a bonus track on the Vinyl version of Meliora, so it is not as well known as other tracks, giving us a chance to really put our own spin on it.” The video is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtYrszs5uxk Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RavenlightNI/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ravenlightni/ Twitter - https://twitter.com/ravenlightni Website - http://www.ravenlight-band.co.uk Bandcamp - https://ravenlight.bandcamp.com/ After 6 years of rocking international stages with their heavy metal style, Scarlet Aura signs again with Universal Music. The deal includes the 6th studio album of Scarlet Aura that will be released in 2021 alongside the tour with Primal Fear. This is the new phenomena that the Romanian band brought to the metal stage – a trilogy of metal albums followed by fantasy book volumes written by the singer Aura Danciulescu. The full-length, entitled "Steelbound", was recorded in Estúdio Fusão and produced by Thiago Bianchi (Noturnall, ex-Shaman) with artwork made by Gustavo Sazes, a Brazilian artist who previously worked with names like Manowar, Arch Enemy, Morbid Angel and Dream Evil. In its lyrics, "Steelbound" addresses different subjects and experiences that are brought to the listener through metaphors, seeking an authentic connection with the fans, giving them the opportunity to make their own personal interpretations of each song. The physical copy of the album can be ordered outside of Brazil through the band's website - ignitedmetal.com - and the digital version is already live on Spotify and other major streaming platforms. The guitarist Dalton Castro comments: "This deal with Voice Music is a big achievement for us and we are very excited for what comes next! They were musicians writing highly original material and performing in a country where the odds were firmly against this style of music. This collection of songs stems from a time when almost no one in Africa gave a damn about heavy metal. They were the first songs of this genre ever to be released in a country like Namibia. They were, in fact, one of the very first metallic rumblings on the entire African continent. For the band there were no local musical footsteps to follow, no high end musical equipment to be had and certainly no industry to support the endeavour. This is unfiltered home-grown stuff, love it or hate it. The songs on this compilation were recorded between 1997 and 2002 - the vast majority of them live and on analogue equipment. The story may be largely untold, but the music not entirely unheard. The fans in Namibia and South Africa eventually took notice, some European media took interest and the band had fun recording and performing these songs over a time of almost seven years. Today, metal bands in Africa are no longer novelties - the style has come to stay. But it had to start somewhere and Arcana XXII from the Namibian capital Windhoek were right there at the very beginning. In collaborative effort over three continents, “Return to the Darkland“ was compiled by the band members themselves to showcase the legacy of a band that was truly one of the pioneers of heavy metal music on the African continent. Namibia, on the southwestern coast of Africa, is one of the most sparsely populated places on earth. The desert state, which only gained independence from South Africa in 1990, can look back on an eventful history and was a German colony from 1884 to 1915 before it became a vassal state of its southern neighbour . All band members are born and bred Namibians and South Africans with a diverse European heritage. Arcana XXII – “A Return to the Darkland / Untold” Digi-CD+DVD expected to released 25.02.2021. Digital Single “Sweet Immortal” over all channels out 23.10.2020. Biography: https://www.einheit-produktionen.de/einheit-artist-arcana-xxii ‘Ace Of Spades’ - the title track of Motörhead's 1980 iconic, game changing album - isn’t just one of the greatest hard rock songs ever written, it has truly become a lifestyle anthem for several generations of rockers, metalheads, punks, bikers, athletes, rebels, outcasts, and freethinkers all around the world.
