Veteran Industrialists Static-X return with original band line-up; announce new album and world tour23/10/2018 Static-X is back! Featuring the band's original line-up introduced on their 1999 platinum-selling debut full-length album, Wisconsin Death Trip, bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda and drummer Ken Jay have joined forces once again to release a new album, Project Regeneration. The album, set for release in spring 2019, will be released in conjunction with a world tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip. The band plans to perform the majority of their debut album at each show. Headline dates will serve as memorial events to honour late frontman Wayne Static, who passed away on November 1, 2014. More information on the world tour and other dates will be coming soon. The band has cultivated a treasure chest of vocal performances and musical compositions left behind by Wayne. Along with the help of Static-X 's long-time producer Ulrich Wild, the band is in the process of completing their seventh studio album, which will feature between 12 and 15 brand new Static-X tracks. "With the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip quickly approaching, it feels like the right time to pay our respects to the band, to Wayne, and to all the fans who have been with us right from the start. We had a lot of material to work with... several demos that Wayne left behind, as well as some really great isolated vocal performances from some nearly finished songs. Together, we have been writing and crafting something very special!" says bassist Tony Campos Check out a new teaser featuring clips from a brand new music video, as well as five new Static-X tracks - "Road To Hell", "Something Of My Own", "Terminator Oscillator", "Hollow" and "Disco Otsego" - along with a personal message from bassist Tony Campos about the inspiration behind Project Regeneration now at www.static-x.org. For the unfinished tracks, the band is inviting several of their friends to lend their voices for the completion of this very personal project. "We have confirmed interest from our friends David Draiman, Ivan Moody, Al Jorgensen, Dez Fafara, Edsel Dope, Burton C Bell, and a few others," says Campos. "Unfortunately, due to everyone's crazy schedules, it is a little early to know how things will shake out. We are more than confident that the album will have some incredible guest vocalists, but it should be noted that it is still too early to count anyone in 100%." The guest vocalist curation process is being led by none other than SiriusXM programming pioneer Jose Mangin, who is working alongside the band as one of the executive producers for Project Regeneration. Static-X has created a pre-order campaign allowing fans who purchase Project Regeneration in advance to have their name appear in the liner notes of the new album. Additional special pre-order package options are also available, including Project Regeneration merch bundles and several old school Static-X merch items to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip. Pre-orders are available via www.static-x.org. "This is a celebration of Static-X Wisconsin Death Trip, Wayne Static, and all of our fans," adds Campos. "We are very excited about what we have created, so we wanted to involve the fans early, and in a campaign sort of way, so that they can participate with us and help to dictate some of the things that we do." "Reuniting with the guys has been an amazing experience," says drummer Ken Jay. "It's been so much fun sharing stories and working on new music together. Obviously, it is bittersweet because we all miss Wayne and we wish that he was here with us, doing what he did best... Evil Disco..." "I am so excited to play Static-X songs live again," says guitarist Koichi Fukuda. "The Static-X sound is so big and powerful live! I can't wait to play songs like "Bled For Days", "Push It" and "I'm With Stupid" again." Static-X plans to do multiple video updates and a series of Facebook Live chats over the next few months in order to keep the fans involved as the process continues to unfold. "We feel very grateful that we have such a loyal fan base that misses the band, and misses Wayne, and I know that Wayne would appreciate all the heart and effort that we are putting into this," says Tony Campos. "I've had some very heartfelt discussions with Wayne's family about doing this. They were very touched by the amount of love and effort that we have put into this new album and they have given us their full support. Having the blessing of Wayne's family means the world to us! I know in my heart that Wayne would be very proud! The industrial godfather and founder of noise provocateurs Ministry turns 60 years old on October 9, surviving 12 American presidents, 37 years in the music industry and a whole lot of well-documented raucous behaviour in between. The landmark birthday comes just two days before another Ministry milestone-the 30th anniversary of the band’s pioneering album, “The Land Of Rape And Honey,” which was originally released on October 11, 1988 and produced the hit single “Stigmata.” It went on to be certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1996 and remains one of the band’s best selling albums. A stylistic breakthrough for Ministry, “Land Of Rape And Honey” took a steep departure from the synthpop elements of the band’s previous albums, 1983’s “With Sympathy” and 1986’s “Twitch,” and incorporated heavier, more aggressive sounds showcasing Jourgensen’s studio prowess that married metal-inspired guitar riffs with heavy sampling, as well as chugging bass lines from then new member Paul Barker. The album is considered as setting the precedent of the industrial music genre and influenced a number of bands that would come out of the scene thereafter. “Really, 30 years ago? It was the half-way point of my life, and as much as I like this record, it’s kind of a shame that some of the same topics I was railing about then (fascism) are still pertinent now,” says Jourgensen. “Time flies, but nothing changes.” Hear Jourgensen talk more about the anniversary on an upcoming radio appearance on Dave Navarro’s Dark Matter Radio—his first interview as a 60-year-old! The program airs October 17 from 9-11 pm PST. Listen live on DashRadio.Com ALT-X station Ministry continues to remain active in 2018, with the release of its latest album “AmeriKKKant” in March, decrying the current state of America’s political system and its mad man in charge. "This album provides FEMA-type relief for the devastation 'Hurricane Cheeto' has brought upon us,” says Jourgensen. Ministry will embark on the second leg of its North American tour beginning November 21 and continuing through December 21 with support from Carpenter Brut. It continues their progression towards a harder, more metal based sound that marked their previous release, 2014’s ‘Black Forest Metal’. Formed in New York in 1993, the HuG duo of Kaizer von Loopy and Vas Kallas released their debut album, ‘Ausgeflippt’, two years later and embarked on consecutive US tours with Marilyn Manson after playing just a handful of local shows. Its follow-up, 1997’s ‘Transmissions From Uranus’, was praised for its progressive musical stylings and groundbreaking technological advances. Promoted via a tour with Prong, further live commitments saw HuG headline a Halloween show in Des Moines, Iowa with local band Slipknot as their support act, while in 1998 they themselves supported Rammstein on their first US trek. HuG began a long association with Metropolis Records in 2003 when the label issued their third album, ‘Über Alles’. Described as a "futuristic Wagnerian rock opera", it marked a stylistic change for the band, favouring heavy guitar riffs and Germanic themes over their proven electro-metal sound. It got great reviews from publications as diverse as Kerrang! (UK) and The Village Voice (US). Next up was 2005’s controversially titled ‘Scheissmessiah’. Memorably reviewed as ‘Handel’s Messiah from Hell’, HuG grew harder and heavier and toured with Ministry and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. An EP, ‘Oktötenfest 2006’, led to UK dates with Cradle Of Filth. Their fifth album, ’2012: Zwanzig Zwölf’ (2008), was a concept record based on the Mayan theory that the world would end in 2012 (but with a fantastical twist on proceedings) and saw death and black metal elements incorporated into HuG’s musical make-up. The duo’s cult following continued to grow and they played their first extensive headlining world tour in 2009. After the world failed to end, 2012 saw the release of ‘Born To Be Heiled’, an eclectic blend of death, black and doom metal, classic rock, electronic and industrial elements tied together with HuG’s unmistakable ersatz German affectations coupled with strong outlaw biker motifs. A companion piece entitled ‘Hanzel und Gretyl Für Immer’, comprised entirely of remixes by KyzrWölf (Loopy's electronic side-project), was made available in autumn 2013 to coincide with a European tour. Late 2014 saw HuG's seventh album, ‘Black Forest Metal’, which marked the beginning of a new era for the band. Their darkest and most metal sounding effort to date, it employed satanic themes cross-referenced with forest motifs from the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale. US and two European tours followed the release. 2015 saw Hanzel und Gretyl appearing in the DVD/BluRay release ‘Rammstein In Amerika’, where the duo were interviewed alongside the likes of Steven Tyler, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Iggy Pop, Korn, Slash and more discussing Rammstein’s first shows in the USA almost twenty years earlier. A long awaited new album by Hanzel und Gretyl entitled ‘Satanik Germanik’ will mark their 25th anniversary in 2018. The band also announces third single from the full-length, titled “Face Of Pain”, which is set to release on 13th of April. The new single offers a look in to the darker and starker side of the album, as male vocalist Saku Solin explains: “Face Of Pain sinks into the question of what pain looks like, how it shows itself and how it feels, and also how easy it is to hide behind a smile, to stand strong and pretend being able to cope with it. We all feel pain, but how we express it is a far sadder question – how we are like unfinished paintings, trying to complete ourselves.” On “Metanoia”, Fear Of Domination has gone through a metamorphosis, and wanted to bring that to the visual side as well. “We’ve reached a new level in our evolution, so we wanted this re-birth and metanoia to show in the album art”, Solin says. Artwork for “Metanoia” was created by Finnish photographer and digital artist Jani Kormu, who sheds some light on the idea behind it: “We wanted to pay a little homage to H.R. Giger with the band, but still create something characteristic for Fear Of Domination. That way, we ended up with this industrial/Giger kind of structure in these photos.” Fear Of Domination will join Amaranthe on their Baltic tour this spring, and tour Finland earlier in May. Imminence Records' Australian gothic/industrial hard rock outfit The Creptter Children has released their first music since "Watching You" on Halloween 2016. The band has just premiered the title track from their forthcoming Asleep With Your Devil EP that will be released January 12th on Imminence Records. The forthcoming five track EP will also feature a new version of "Watching You." "Asleep With Your Devil to me is just the beginning of oeuvre and artistic expression that will follow. This new EP offers fans a tantalising sample of the direction The Creptter Children’s musical journey will take them too in the future. After spending many long nights working very hard in the studio on this EP, I was quite pleased to hear the end result. As an artist I can be my own worse critic and will always pick out my flaws. However, I can say I was rather content with the final product and look forward to the next endeavour. My mind never sleeps and I ‘am putting together new song ideas as we speak.” - Iballa Chantelle (Vocalist) Check it here:- www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l62_1BEP8s&feature=youtu.be The Creptter Children are a gothic/industrial hard rock band currently based in Melbourne, Australia. They originated from Perth in 2006 by founding members Iballa Chantelle (vocals/guitars) and N8oR (guitars/synth). They released their debut album, entitled Possessed, back in 2010 before touring in the US during 2011. Shortly thereafter they took a hiatus before reappearing in 2016 and quickly catching the attention of American label Imminence Records. They announced their signing with the release of their “Watching You” music video on Halloween of that year. Renowned for their catchy hooks and dark fashion sense, which stem from the dark and twisted mind of Iballa Chantelle, the band brings to their fans (also known as “Freaks”) her message of creativity, open mindedness, and positive reflection towards spirituality and the supernatural. With influences from Behemoth, Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie while being endorsed by Ibanez Guitars and Vampress Fashion, The Creptter Children are ready to take 2018 by storm with a new EP and a label backing them. The LP boasts a lethal mix of technical death and Teutonic Industrial metal that will please fans of Dimmu Borgir, Septicflesh and Fear Factory. Although their sound has noticeably changed compared to their earlier work – containing more extreme and less industrial metal elements – the new tracks have been positively received by both the press and fans.
