Rockshots Records is proud to announce their latest signing of Italian symphonic metallers Eternal Silence for the release of their next album "Timegate Anathema" due out in October 2021. The band comments:- "We hope fans will be excited as we are for this new record. It is the most complete and refined album we made so far, and we think that the introduction of new elements and musical inspirations will attract new ones. We plan for it to be a heavy and romantic experience." Recorded at The Groove Factory (Udine, Italy) and Line/Out Studio (Milano, Italy) with mixing and mastering by Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis, Temperance, Kaledon), "Timegate Anathema" will feature ten tracks of symphonic and power progressive metal plus will see the band introduce new elements and experimentation into their sound. The album goes from power metal songs like "The Way Of Time" and "My Soul Sad Until Death" to heavy and dark ones like "Rain and Red Death Masquerade", passing through the catchy melodies of tracks like "Glide In The Air" and acoustic moments on "Lonely and Firefly". The main theme that inspired the album is the concept of Time. Bassist Alessio Sessa adds: "Time as the pace of life, time that gives a rhythm to the music, time as the nerve of existence, the ticking of a clock that brings back distant memories. The future developing through uncertainty and hope that flies on the wings of time. Time giving life to seasons, during which we struggle to give a sense to our hurry. The album's image is of time represented by the two-faces god Janus, the divinity that looks backward and forward, guardian of thresholds, passages, chances, and who holds the keys of the flow of events. Musically the album puts together a solid metal rhythmic section with real strings orchestra and a choir, which accompany the melodies by the duo vocalists." Formed in Varese, Italy in 2008, Eternal Silence combines powerful guitar riffs, a thunderous rhythmic section, catchy melodies, and bombastic orchestral tracks with the support of two vocalists, Marika Vanni and guitarist Alberto Cassina sharing the front stage. The band's current line-up is completed by Alessio Sessa (bass), Andrea Zannin (drums) and Enzo Criscuolo (guitarist). Since their formation, the band has unleashed three albums and two EPs. 2020's "Renegades" (EP), 2018's "Metamorphosis" (EP), and 2017's "Mastermind Tyranny" were released on Sliptrick Records, and their earlier full-lengths “Raw Poetry” (2013) and “Chasing Chimera” (2015) were released on Underground Symphony Records. Over the years, the band has been a consistent touring presence in Europe, performing in Germany, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, and Hungary along with being support for bands such as Temperance, Therion, Haggard, Sound Storm, Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (Insomnium) Blackoustic. Italians Inner Code were born in the alleys of the ancient city of Florence, Italy, between the shadows of the monuments and the din of the locals. The band are united with just one purpose, to translate our repressed emotions into music, the most angry and unspeakable ones; to fulfil the desire to tell those little-told stories, cruel but full of teachings. Each of them come from different musical genres, with metal uniting us all. They have risen from the ashes of past bands, which have taken them to the darkest stages in Italy and now they return like a ‘new nightmare’. Those who grew up with electronics and those with hip-hop, each express his obscurity by putting it at the service of the band with the idea of creating something unique, drawing from their souls, from their Inner Code. They’ve chosen to sing in Italian (a genre that’s not sung in Italian), because they don’t want to leave anything unspoken and every chord must sound devastating together with every concept, without compromise. There’s no pandemic that can stifle such universal anger. Are you ready for something new and deadly? Inner Code are:
Band links: Official Website | Facebook | Youtube | Instagram | VK | On Sliptrick Multi-national melodic metallers Angel Nation have just released a music video for their new single "Fly Away". Angel Nation are currently working on the band's third album, but they've made a pit stop on this journey by releasing an extra special song "Fly Away". Some time ago a long term supporter approached Elina to ask if she would write a song to his son's memory. She read the story behind it which turned out to be very moving and sad. However, when hearing more and looking more closely, it was the positivity and joy that shone through. A song dedicated to the memory of Leif Ole, someone who touched so many hearts, kept laughing, showing others how to enjoy the small things. Someone whose smile will never die in the hearts of those who got to know him. Musically "Fly Away" has the true Angel Nation sound, bringing back the old school band feel and 80’s vibes. This ballad combines a more intimate, acoustic approach and a full rock sound being delicate, strong, sad and joyful, all at the same time! "We are thrilled to be releasing new music and hope this song will bring positivity in the midst of what has been a hard year for many of us. If you want to support us on our way to our third full-length album, you can purchase and stream this single on the usual digital platforms." Angel Nation online

Aborym's new album “Hostile” is out now! To celebrate release of their 11th full-length, the band have produced a visualizer video for the stunning song ‘Stigmatized (Robotripping)’. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE: https://youtu.be/koUDueTuBus Guitarist Tomas expresses his thoughts: “When I was asked to put my hands on this song [its title wasn’t ‘Stigmatized (Robotripping)’ yet] it was incredible, even if I never actually wrote anything like that, I knew exactly how to move my hands on it. That cold and impolite noise, grunge and ‘acid’ mix immediately stimulated me and I felt it was going to be my favourite. No cut-ups in post-production or crap like that, it’s a song which was to be played down the hatch… one-take, as producers say”. “Hostile” is available now as digipak CD and digital via Dead Seed Productions, while the vinyl version will be out in April 2021. “Hostile” was produced by Keith Hillebrandt (Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, a.o.), who comments: “When Fab and his wife were in Bangkok at the end of 2018 we got to talking about the next Aborym album and he asked if I was interested in helping out with the production. Talking about the directions he wanted the band's sound to take got me thrilled and when the tracks started to come together I was blown away. Tracks like ‘Proper use of Myself’ and ‘Stigmatized (Robotripping)’ had the patented Aborym heavy aggro feel but tracks like ‘Sleep’ and ‘The End Of A World’ took the band’s sound in a completely new direction. The whole album is an adventurous trip both lyrically and dynamically. I haven’t heard anything like that since many years and I’m proud to have had a small part in making this with Fab and the boys. Just wished I could have gone to Italy for the mix down, but the end of the world came”. The album is a consolidation and continuation of Aborym career. Rather than re-invent the wheel or try and compete with contemporary trends, this record takes the blueprint we know and love and sees the band adding even more layers and taking some of their work to its nth degree. They are unarguably heavy, and there are a lot of metal inspirations in their sound, but “Hostile” can be considered as a kaleidoscopic weird mix of psychedelia, electronic music, rock and experimental music. Aborym’s mission is simply to make music that has never been heard before. “Hostile” was written between 2018 and 2020, recorded at Synthesis Studio, NMG recording studio and Aborym-Lab in 2020, mixed and mastered by Andrea Corvo during the COVID-19 quarantine. For the first time this album has been written and arranged with a four-pieces consolidated line-up: Fab (vocals, synths, modular synths, programming), Greco (bass, guitars, programming), Catalani (drums, pads, electronics) and Aurizzi (guitars). Fabrizio Giannese shares his thoughts: “I’ve always had a fascination with challenging myself and even when I was a kid, I wanted to be different, I loved to experiment. I’ve always gotten a lot of enjoyment when I’m in a challenging situation and I have to learn something else, and I still do. I think it is innately inside me. Part of you doesn’t really realize just how cool it is not to give a fuck, you know? I am very concerned about like, ‘Is this working?’. Not giving a fuck is a way of giving more love because you’re free. It lets you be more creative and dynamic and louder and more fun and sadder and everything. We just tried to play the music we feel, like a therapy. Music is a therapeutic path for me and I try to not play music just to please the fans. People are always going to categorize you. It can definitely be frustrating. But I don’t feel any pressure to be anything for anyone. I don’t feel like I have to be the frontman in any certain way, and I think that’s part of the power of the band. If I was a solo artist and I had four managers telling me what to do, I’d feel stressed out... But we really feel grounded with each other. You can’t write the same type of song over and over and over again, so I think that’s one of the challenges, to feel like, ‘Yeah, I did something different here’. ‘Hostile’ will be our eighth album and I think for us it was really important to try and find our playfulness again. So, in that sense it gets harder with every album, but we really made music just because it was our favourite thing to do ever. It still is. Band links: Italian progressive / power metal band Souls Of Diotima will release their fourth studio album, titled “Janas”, on January 29th 2021 via Diotima Records / Rockshots Records. The quartet are proud to unleash their lyric video for the title track ‘Janas’.
Commenting on the new single the founder member, lyricist and drummer Giorgio Pinna says: “Along with ‘The Black Mask’, this song best represents the essence of the entire album. It tells the story of the Janas, fictional fairy creatures found around our island, who are depicted on the album cover. They lived inside small caves carved into the rock and only came out on full moon nights. They are portrayed as small, winged fairies, with a beautiful, delicate appearance. They are also described by Grazia Deledda, a Sardinian writer and Nobel prize winner in literature, as ‘largely evil little creatures’, because despite their deceptive appearance, they were not angelic in the slightest. They were enchantresses who bewitched with their beauty, with the power to decide the fate of human beings, often choosing an unfortunate destiny. According to many stories, the Janas kidnapped humans, especially males, to suck their blood. They also stole from their victims and kept their treasures hidden inside their caves”. “Janas” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Oscar Nilsson at Crehate Studios in Mölndal (Sweden). The album “Janas” is a concept, the second chapter of a journey that began with the previous album, “The Sorceress Reveals - Atlantis”. “Janas” tells the stories and legends of band’s land, Sardinia. Their island is full of wonderful mythological tales and characters, of esoteric stories that are often macabre, but which portray a truly fascinating historical and cultural journey. Giorgio Pinna admits that: “We have a shared interest in the history and culture of the peoples of the sea, of the Mediterranean, and we are one of them. Much of Western history is rooted in the tales of the peoples of the sea, skilled conquerors who crossed the seas to conquer new lands or to defend their own. But there is more. Within Sardinia there are places that often remain undiscovered. Far from the more accessible touristic locations, these places are steeped in stories both true and fictitious, which we were often told during our childhood, and which probably formed the basis of our personality and the way we see the world. In brief, ‘Janas’ talks about these stories, about us, and about the Earth we have been walking on since we were born."
Souls Of Diotima is a band with a unique style, featuring recognizable elements of traditional, progressive and symphonic metal, as well as unconventional elements, woven together musically in a powerfully expressive new way. Their style recalls Mediterranean atmospheres and traditions, and you can call it "Mediterranean Metal”. Each member of the band was lost in his own musical themes inspired by Tolkienian mythology. As if hypnotized, they outrageously composed themes for the main characters and started to imagine this huge concept work to which they still work on today. Ainur has signed with Rockshots Records to release the highly anticipated “War of The Jewels”, which sees the band take an interesting evolution in sound from previous releases. Ainur will completely immerse fans in J.R.R.Tolkien’s war atmospheres. They have imagined every story and every battle and recreate them through unique and deep music. The band explains in further detail: “We always follow the path that Tolkien himself has outlined in his tales, so we tried to create a concept that embraces the Wars of Beleriand throughout the album. Since the topic is a little bit complex this time, we thought to divide the concept into two albums: then, side by side with “Children of Hurin” and “Lay of Leithian”, they will flow into a big opera that will unite the third chapter of Wars of Beleriand and Lays of Beleriand.” The band further comments on releasing with Rockshots Records: “This is the first album without our historical label Electromantic. We owe a lot to Beppe and his staff, but we felt that we needed something new for our project. There were some labels interested in having us on their roster but when we talked with Roberto and Valerio from Rockshots Records we realized that that was the right way. And now that we are releasing the album we can say that we made the right choice.” The compositional process of “War of The Jewels” has been very long. It started in 2009 (or maybe before) and it ended more or less last year. Ainur sees it as their “rebirth” album. They have been working hard composing and arranging their music to create the best tribute to Tolkien’s histories that they can. Fans of Tolkien’s work along with fans of Ayreon, Queen, and John Williams will be surprised by the majesty and the energy of this work. The 2021 release date for “War of the Jewels” through Rockshots Records will be announced at a later date. The new atheism. The ardent wish to finally forget about God: to discard the cherished illusion of God and definitively break away from the images and thoughts. The core hypothesis of this song is that the ‘death of God’ does not straight away imply that God is forgotten. The memory of God makes a reconsideration of God possible which avoids the widespread, but misleading alternative, between ‘the death of God’ on the one hand, and his alleged ‘return’ on the other. Two overall interests thereby intersect: an exegetical and a systematic one”. www.aborym.it www.aborym.bandcamp.com www.facebook.com/aborymofficial www.twitter.com/aborym1992 www.instagram.com/aborym_industrial www.youtube.com/user/AborymTV Italian Alternative Metallers Sick N' Beautiful release 'God Of Thunder' music video & single2/11/2020 After a long time since their second album "Element Of Sex", alien metallers Sick N' Beautiful are coming back with a new 4-piece line-up, a new single and a new no-holds-barred attitude. The song is a cover of "God Of Thunder", recorded originally by Kiss for the album "Destroyer" (1976). Vocalist Herma states that:- "When 'Element Of Sex' came out, we were full of enthusiasm and optimism. Unfortunately, in the last two years we have experienced the uglier side of the music industry. Some of us got tired of all the bullshit and decided to call it quits. We don't blame them." Bassist Big Daddy Ray points out that:- "The band has been put through an emotional and financial wringer, but things are getting resolved, and some lessons have been learned, hopefully. Still, this industry is not for the faint-hearted. "For this 'comeback' of sorts, we chose a Kiss cover because we wanted to go back to our artistic roots. Kiss was such an influential band, and we wanted to pay tribute to their music, of course, but we also wanted to find ourselves again in the process." In the words of drummer Evey:- "The new line-up, with guitarist Nemes, is leaner and meaner. Combine this with the current worldwide upheaval along with an unprecedented pandemic, and you'll understand how the songwriting on the new material is reflecting all of this". Herma reprises:- "We would have never made it through these times without the help, support and sheer love from our fans. In fact, we recorded all the vocals for the song during a few live Twitch sessions. Fans got the chance to hear it all in real time and give us immediate feedback, even guiding us through the production! It was a lot of fun, and it's something unique and intimate that we want to repeat again soon!"
