Swedish alternative metal act Aviana have released a video for their single 'Illuminate', taken from new album Corporation, out now via Arising Empire.
Corporation is a collection of perfectly crafted heavy bangers, which includes previous singles 'Paradox', 'Anomaly', 'Obsession', 'Transcendent', 'Rage', 'Oblivion', 'Overcome' and 'Retaliation'. 'Illuminate' is the last song released in this chapter and completes the new full-length. Vocalist Joel Holqvist comments: "This song 'Illuminate' is the last out of our collection of singles, which we have assembled into an album entitled Corporation. You will understand more about the Aviana Corporation as time goes on. But without giving away too much, this release symbolises a collective name of two big plots in the new world of the storyline that we have been creating and are building up in the new era of the band."
Aviana made a big impact on the global metalcore scene with their return in February 2021. Led solely by vocalist Joel Holmqvist as a consequence of past members leaving the band, Holmqvist has exceed all expectations and taken the band further down the path for greatness. Speaking on the album, Holmqvist concludes: "There is an album coming in September, finally. But I never wanted to have people sit around and wait for new Aviana music. Instead I’ve been working continuously to try and get new stuff out there for the fans. You should consider this album more of an ‘Collection of Singles’ rather than something else. There will be new songs on the album which haven’t been released yet, but also songs that we’ve already put out since 2021 will be on the album.” Aviana are:

Yakoeza present their first single and lyric video “March of the mindless sheep” .
Yakoeza, a female fronted hardcore / metal formation from Hellmond/the Netherlands with (ex-) members of Hidden Guns Streetpunk, Ragepyre, Cyanide Paradise and Alternator. Different musical influences like hardcore, metal and punk collide in Yakoeza. It is no wonder that Yakoeza is mainly influenced by Machinehead, Suicidal Tendencies and Knocked Loose. In short, an evening with Yakoeza is guaranteed to be filled with an overload of quick and loud noise. Autumn 2022 Yakoeza hit the studio with the renowned Roelof Klop where they recorded their first single. To complete Yakoeza’s first release, Will Putney, known from his work with bands such as END, Gojira and Fit For An Autopsy, worked his magic by mastering the song. The title of the track “March of the mindless sheep”, is a nice precursor to the lyrics that make up the songs of Yakoeza. March Of The Mindless Sheep is a hardcore / metal track starting out with a soft, vulnerable approach in atmosphere, until the drums open up the track like a machine gun causing mayhem. Throughout the song metal and hardcore influences, especially in the chorus and the breakdown, are noticeable. March of the mindless sheep is a protest against inhumanity during war. Inspired by events throughout history, with the Ukraine-Russia war still raging on as we speak. Lyric wise the song asks its listeners to think about choices, as if they were marching in the soldier lines themselves, that lead up to the point they find themselves in now. Do you feel as if you’re doing the right thing? Do you trust those who give the orders? After all the horrors you’ve endured and seen, don’t you have an ounce of regret? The song aims to create a sense of urgency, as it could only be a matter of time until war is on your doorstep. Credits:

Italian fantasy power metallers RuinThrone will be releasing their new J.R.R. Tolkien-inspired album “The Unconscious Mind Of Arda” due out January 2023 via Rockshots Records to follow their debut album “Urban Ubris” and EP “Leaden Field”. The album itself has been composed of stories inspired by Tolkien’s poems, his “Legendarium”. The band hopes the concepts they wrote can be “messengers” of reflection for their listeners, turning in a better awareness of their daily life. "With this album, we think we reached our own identity. Back in the early years, we started with a classic German power metal style, but year by year we changed and matured musically, we wanted to add more emotional colours to our palette and we decided to paint the darkest side of the human mind. This is why we use 7-string guitars with 1/2 step-down tuning, extreme vocals, etc. For this new record we also focused on an alternative point of view of some stories written by Tolkien. We thought it would have been interesting to explore not only some interesting characters and heroes but also the mind of the main villains:: Morgoth, the Witch-king, and Gothmog. The main concept is to develop a poem with no need for heroes. It’s a world populated by humanized characters creating a correspondence with the listener’s life." adds guitarist Nicolò de Maria. Now, Ruinthrone reveal the first single "Earendil" accompanied by a music video. Earendil was one of the first songs the band tried to finish while producing this album. It has a lot of different sections and moods and is the most “catchy” song on the full-length. "It's not exactly a ballad, because the only acoustic parts are the verses and the piano & bass solo, but that 6/8 time makes the song flow easily even if you’re not a metalhead. Another important point is the vocals. Haedus used a lot of different tones and ranges in this song…he did an amazing job!" adds the band. Earendil is about the tainted love story between the half-elf Earendil and the elf Elwing. Desperate for the death of his lover Earendil reminds with the melancholy of the feeling and the past life spent with Elwing. This song has the goal to show the listener how strong feelings like love keep on living even when hostile events and death divide us from our loved ones. "Sometimes we regret what we did in the past, some missed opportunities, but nothing can defeat love, and so we keep on living our adventures, our paths bringing the light of the Silmaril with us with is a symbol of the power of love." says guitarist Nicolò de Maria.
“The Unconscious Mind Of Arda” is mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Orlando (sound tech for Rhapsody of Fire) at the Outer Sound Studios. The album is due out on January 13th, 2023 and is available for pre-order at the following link - https://bit.ly/RuinThrone_CD RuinThrone are:
Black Lakes have shared a video for their single 'Avarice', taken from their album For All We've Left Behind released earlier this year. The South Wales-based alt-metal outfit are not shy of a social commentary, and 'Avarice' firmly brings forward this political side of the band, as frontman Will Preston sings the mantra "We can't eat money, we can't breathe money" while the band close off the song in chaotic fashion. Frontman Will comments: "The definition for the word avarice is “extreme greed for wealth or material gain”. This is something we all see in our day to day lives, and a concept that many of us struggle to both accept, and live with the consequences of. The song tackles the concept that as a species, we will only realise the error of our ways when it’s far too late. It is only when the last tree has been felled, the last fish caught and the last river run dry that we will seemingly realise that for all our time, sweat and effort spent chasing material gain, we cannot eat, breathe or live on money.." Black Lakes create a sound which deliberately blurs the boundaries between hard rock and alternative metal, drawing on a wide range of influences from across both scenes. Their debut album For All We've Left Behind was recorded in the Welsh capital with premier hard rock and metal producer Romesh Dodangoda. Their previous single 'Fragments' was picked up across national radio including Kerrang! and the BBC. Despite the impact of the pandemic, the band grew from strength to strength, having been named both a Great Music Stories 'Band of the Year 2021', and 'Live Band of the Year', a critically acclaimed redux set released exclusively for the Spirit of Wildfire festival and making the final of the Hard Rock Hell - Highway to Hell competition at the O2 Academy. Having successfully completed their gofundme campaign to support it, their highly anticipated debut album 'For All We've Left Behind' was released on 22nd February 2022. The band has been touring extensively in its support this year. Black Lakes are:
Southern California progressive thrashers Madrost have released a new track off their upcoming live album, Lost Lives Volume 1. The band teamed with metal site Dead Rhetoric for the exclusive premiere of "Zombie Grinder." Madrost guitarist / vocalist Tanner Poppit comments on the song: "This particular version of ‘Zombie Grinder’ showcases it in its beginning stages. The song harkens back to the old days of thrash and is extremely catchy and relentless in its delivery! Especially on this live album, it has stood the test of time as a brutal slab of severe death thrash metal.” Stream "Zombie Grinder" at this location. The first in a planned series of live recordings this fall on Lost Wisdom Records. Lost Lives Volume 1 is a throwback to the band’s early days. The album features songs found on the band’s recently reissued full-length debut, Maleficent. The songs selected for this release were recorded during an October 2009 performance at Hogue Barmichael’s in Newport Beach, CA. Lost Lives Volume 1 will be out on CD and digital formats on October 11 on Lost Wisdom Records. Pre-order at madrost.bandcamp.com At the time these songs were recorded, Madrost consisted of Tanner Poppitt (Vocals/Guitar), Jake Durbin (Guitars), Thomas Damgaard (Bass), Josh Alves (Drums). Album tracks were remastered by Rob Colwell at Bombworks Sound, with artwork by Tony Koehl at www.sketchthesoul.com. Founded in the summer of 2007, Madrost is a progressive death thrash act focused on precision song writing and an energetic diverse approach to their sound. Influenced by the likes of Metal Church, Death, ELP, Believer, Coroner, Mekong Delta, and Iron Maiden, the band has transformed from a straightforward thrash / death style to incorporating a wide range of other instruments and time signatures into their own unique sound and style. Madrost signed with NoLifeTilMetal Records in 2020 and released their fourth album, the progressive thrash masterpiece Charring The Rotting Earth. This album was followed by the 2022 release of Into the Aquatic Sector. Madrost is:
Portuguese gothic metal band Black Widows released their third single and music video 'Schizo' from their upcoming second studio album Among the Brave Ones which is set to be released on October 21st 2022 via Finnish Inverse Records.
Vocalist / guitarist Rute Fevereiro comments: "Schizo was chosen to be our third single. It's a more complex song that honestly represents well the darkest side of our album. This song is all about hypocrisy, the need of showing positive thinking and smiles regardless of what you're going through, to the extend of worsening our mental health. This song is specially focused on someone I used to know who is described in these lyrics. The music is the perfect marriage with the words professed. There are lots of clowns in the real world, showing smiley faces and yet they feel miserable. I'm sure you all know someone like this."

Maryland-based crossover thrash metal quintet Ninth Realm have released a lyric video for new single, "Plea To The Heavens," which can be viewed at youtu.be/51byp4vW1fQ. The single is also available on Bandcamp and Spotify. Ninth Realm will release debut full-length album A Fate Unbroken November 4 on Mercenary Press. The album is a perfect blend of of crossover thrash and traditional heavy metal that represents the band's refined vision. A Fate Unbroken is a nine-track album that takes the influence of the widest range of heavy metal, 80s-toned thrash, death thrash, and hardcore that the decisive genres have to offer. Not only do the riffs, consistent guitar solos, and blackened vocals take the listener through a whirlwind of Slayer/Demolition Hammer era thrash metal, but the lyricism and quintessential raw fantasy style of their art and themes harken back to a Frank Frazetta / Ralph Bakshi age of pure Sword & Sorcery. A Fate Unbroken, for all intents and purposes, is a Maryland band’s attempt to bring a reunion of heavy metal and hardcore punk back to its raw, old-school roots. Basing their lyricism and overall theme around the original fantasy realm of Tythorin, Ninth Realm delivers an electrifying synthesis of traditional heavy metal and hardcore punk for fans of both respective genres to enjoy. Pulling from a range of influences that span everything between blackened thrash to old-school death metal, the music of Ninth Realm rips and tears with a ferocity and cadence that perfectly encapsulates the epic scale and grisly atmosphere of grim-dark fantasy. Between the use of aggressive thrash d-beat and viscerally direct song structure of classic metal acts such as Celtic Frost, combined with the melodic riffage of classic bands like Testament / Mercyful Fate, and an added twist of Cro-Mags/Leeway style crossover, Ninth Realm wields what is perhaps one of the most poignant new sounds to emerge from the metal underground in recent memory.
Pre-Order: ninthrealmmd.bandcamp.com/album/a-fate-unbroken Sharing a bond for all things heavy metal and high fantasy, college classmates Joey Burke (drummer) and Liam McMahon (lead guitarist) joined forces in the fall of 2018, writing and practicing every week to produce the 2019 demo, Gates of Tythorin. Later adding Jared Henry (bassist) and Ben Hageage (vocalist) to the mix, Ninth Realm solidified their sound with their succeeding 2020 EP, All Hail Treachery. In 2022, to offer a glimpse at what is to come with their debut LP, Ninth Realm released Ondreis MMXXII, a promo tape featuring two songs that both share a track space on the debut full-length record.
Swedish modern metallers Avatar release twisted new single and video for 'Valley of Disease'25/9/2022 The heavy metal, dark, madcap visionaries, collectively known as Avatar, have emerged from deep within the Swedish forest in which they have been working on their ninth studio album to grace fans and listeners with a brand new song, 'Valley of Disease'. Listen to the single HERE, and watch the video, HERE. Vocalist Johannes Eckerström states: "There is a sickness, a stranger, and a harmful way. A twisted landscape untouched by the sun. I leave the rest up to either you or me, but never both at the same time. You can only enter this place alone, and my path isn't yours. Your secret is safe with me, but so is mine." Avatar enjoyed quite a productive summer, traipsing North America on a successful headline tour. They next embarked on some of the biggest shows of their career - a trek with Iron Maiden, supporting the band in stadiums in Brazil. Avatar also played arenas supporting Sabaton and secured major festival appearances globally with INKcarceration, Cadott Fest, Summer Breeze, and Bloodstock. As for Avatar's mission? There are no weapons on this planet that can challenge the might of the electric guitar. For decades, metal has been the most powerful force known to man. It's sonic teeth have gnawed through the status quo over and over, pushing the boundaries for what can be created in the marriage between blood and machine. If Mount Rushmore were to be carved for all the titans of the genre, it would span the entire globe many times over. It's a burning beacon for the misfits and the rebels. As time has passed, much of the scene has become divided in two equally stale camps. The first is forever stuck in the past, no longer seeking to lead. The second are those who have forgotten the most important ingredients to what made metal what it was and must remain. They've lost touch with the Devil. They've forgotten how to move. In a genre best experienced with your whole body, they've lost the lust. Avatar, however, have not lost anything. It is with this fire in their bellies that they continue to craft their next album. Website || Facebook || Instagram || Twitter || TikTok After Ukrainian metalcore unit Space Of Variations had to delay the release of their new album due to the ongoing war in their homeland, the day has finally come for Imago to meet the world, unleashed today via Napalm Records! Fasten your seatbelts and prepare for full speed when diving into the thrilling, high energy soundscapes of the outfit's second offering. Space Of Variations adds: "After a worldwide pandemic, an unjust war, two album release delays, and a lot of hoping, worrying, praying, and thinking that this album may never come out - Imago is finally out! This one is for our people back in Ukraine, for our friends, family, and fans. This one is for us! Hope you can enjoy the music as much as we do …" Space Of Variations invaded the underground metalcore scene leaving a lasting impression that makes fans instantly hungry for more. Their unique, powerful songwriting skills exceed all expectations, fearlessly merging different genres while captivating with their futuristic style. The unpredictable and emotive atmosphere of the album reflects Space Of Variations’ attitude: always on a roll at maximum speed, unapologetically crashing the scene. Their newest single, “1M followers (feat. Denis Stoff)” comes with a vicious visualizer and delivers the final jab of the album release. In the tradition of acts like Bring Me The Horizon and Architects, the song delivers mesmerizing, punching riffs and pounding drums. In preparation of their EU / UK tour supporting Within Destruction kicking off soon, followed by an extensive North American tour with Jinjer and P.O.D., Space Of Variations will reveal their full spectrum of pure metal energy that cannot be missed. Space Of Variations on Imago: "The main symbolism of the album is hidden in its title - Imago. In entomology, imago is the last stage an insect attains during its metamorphosis. In psychology, it's one of the fundamental concepts, an unconscious mental image a person has of himself, other objects of reality and his blood ties through the prism of his perception. As an insect breaks through the shell of a chrysalis to free itself from the protective cocoon surrounding it, you, too, through inner transformation can really become the new being, which, in fact, you were always meant to be. Imago = new stage, Imago = maturation. Only in retrospect can one see the imago, which was previously hidden in the shadows. The future is being prepared in the bosom of the past and the present. Imago is the most complete convergence with yourself that can only happen. With this album, Space Of Variations are definitely moving to a new round of self-development as a creative organism." American blackened symphonic deathcore A Wake In Providence release new single 'We Are Eternity'25/9/2022 New York, USA deathcore band A Wake In Providence have released their mighty new single 'We Are Eternity', taken from their highly-anticipated new record Eternity, to be released 21st October via Unique Leader Records.
The band comment: "We are so excited to bring you, 'We Are Eternity'! This song really brings more of this story to the table and gives you great insight into who The Trinity is and what role they play in this narrative. Thank you to everyone involved with creating this and to you all for checking it out!" Formed in 2010 from unremarkable beginnings, A Wake In Providence diligently grew to become the renowned and otherworldly force they are today. Originally a heavier-than-your-average deathcore act, the band’s debut 2010 demo and 2012 debut EP Serpents saw them infusing a raw and ruthless take on traditional deathcore with contemporary metallic elements to make something sharp enough to cut its way through the thicket of bland, boring heavy music acts. While Serpents gained the band notoriety in their local area, it wasn’t until the release of their sophomore EP, Insidious, that the band went from prodigally talented to true rising stars in the heavy music community. Adding a liberal dose of downtempo deathcore to their instrumental stylings, Insidious earned the band global infamy and critical acclaim, as well as tours with some of the underground’s bigger names-including In Dying Arms, Extortionist and Lorna Shore, as well as several smaller solo runs along the East Coast. Never ones to remain complacent, A Wake In Providence grew once more in 2016, with the addition of Will Ramos (now with Lorna Shore), but also with their drastic stylistic change, omitting their penchant for low, slow downtempo deathcore in favour of a renewed focus on more aggressive, fast and furious traditional deathcore elements with a razor-sharp technical twist. Combining marvellous metallic riffs with crushing breakdowns and shrill, sinister vocals to create an intense onslaught unlike any other band in the heavy music scene, A Wake In Providence are vile enough to make the sewers look clean, and vicious enough to tear the still-beating heart out of the listener's chest. Now a quartet with new vocalist Adam Mercer and signing with the legendary Unique Leader Records, A Wake In Providence's status looks set to only rise further. A Wake In Providence are:
