Brazilian Doom horde Pombajira stream new track at NoCleanSinging.com

Brazilian Doom ritualists Pombajira premiere the new track "Vital Lucifer" at heavily trafficked web-portal NoCleanSinging.com. The track hails from the band's striking debut album, simply self-titled Pombajira, set for international release on November 29th via Helldprod Records. Hear Pombajira's "Vital Lucifer" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

There's nothing much to say about Pombajira! Or so the band claims, but we at Helldprod feel differently: Pombajira is a six-song excavation of deathly doom draped in darkness and dirtiness! In fact, after the record's 30 minutes of pulsing, punishing filth, it'll take you at least a week just to feel clean again! Or, imagine Pentagram's most earth-shaking doom moments integrated into the atmosphere of Celtic Frost's Into the Pandemonium, creating a ritualistic and ecstatic trance... Truly, Pombajira's debut album is a bolt from the blue - a dark horse ready to run you over!

Formed in late 2017, Pombajira was created by ex-Grave Desecrator Hellson Röcha. Soon enough, he roped in a drummer and also his old guitar-playing friend Blizzard. After a year of wasting time with this drummer, T. Splatter (Velho, Lápide, Poem's Death etc) took up the drum duties.

A few rehearsals were enough for Pombajira to record an entire album, and finally, it emerges as Pombajira! Directly influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Hellhammer, Venom, Pentagram, as well as others of a similar dark ilk, the power-trio have successfully reached their goal in sounding heavy, basic, sombre, and uncompromised. And no fucking religious proselytism nor a cocky arrogance with the lyrical content!

Pombajira's moniker derives from their Afro-Brazilian cultural roots and serves as a foundation to flirt with the enigmatic spiritual imagery and sometimes superstitious atmosphere which is around them. In addition to their personal experiences, the band is influenced by magick, rebellion, sarcasm, and darkness. What results is uniquely Pombajira, and what the band brand HEAVY ROCK INFERNO! Are you ready to be consumed by their flames?

Also become consumed by the flames of the previously revealed "In Reverence" HERE at Hellprod's Soundcloud as well as HERE at the label's Bandcamp. Ordering info can be found HERE.

Brazilian modern groove thrashers Killer release "Exuding Hate" music video

3/10/2019

Picture

Brazil's modern groove thrashers Killery have just released a new video for the track "Exuding Hate", which is taken off from their debut album "Ready For Apocalypse".

The idea behind "Exuding Hate" is to present the viewer with a story unfolding in the background. This is a track that talks about repression, war and civil strife and how the violence used by authorities generates hate. Killery sought in Pitter Cutrim's nuances and vocal range the representation for this feeling, which can be very complex to represent lyrically.

Watch the video at this location: https://youtu.be/JNJAdQuDSqA

Killery is currently part of VAULT LAB Recordings roster.

Eve Desire, the Brazilian Symphonic Power Metal band, has just announced their debut album "Prelude to Singularity", which will be released in September. The debut album "Prelude to Singularity" will be released in physical format and on all major streaming platforms. The work will feature eight tracks, produced by Thiago Bianchi (Shaman and Noturnall), and released via Fusion Records.

Gestated for months, the album "Prelude to Singularit"y tells the story of a man trapped in the fifth dimension, accompanied only by death. As in a Neil Gaiman story, the figure of death is represented by a wise woman who talks to him about time, space and ephemeral earthly life. Each track is a piece of dialogue, containing reflections of the conversation between man, representing humanity, and Death.

Quantum Physics is one of the central themes in Prelude to Singularity. The question of time, under human perception, the interaction with it, and what is the view of science on this temporal aspect. “We are all lovers of science, physics and mathematics. Putting Music and Science together had everything to do with us”, says Arya Medeiros Cappia, lead singer of Eve Desire.

After personal problems interfering with the release of the debut album, Eve Desire has matured musically, becoming stronger: “This album means one more step, one more step achieved. It was made very truthfully. A scholarship that made us emerge on the record,” says Arya.

Eve Desire is formed by:-

Arya Medeiros Cappia (Vocals)
Wagner Cappia (Keyboards)
Vini Ramadoni (bass)
Lauro Nightrealm (guitar)
Rafael Hernandes - drums

Brazilian Black / Death / Thrash veterans Vulcano sign with Mighty Music

15/8/2019

Brazilian black/death/thrash metal legends Vulcano have signed a two-album record deal and publishing agreement with Mighty Music. The band from São Paulo is currently putting the final touches on their new, 11th studio album, entitled "Eye In Hell", which will be released on LP, CD and digital in early 2020 worldwide on the Danish label. The artwork will be done by Roberto Toderico (Tygers Of Pan Tang, Pestilence, Sinister) and mastering will happen in Medley Studio (Artillery, Thorium, Glenn Hughes), Copenhagen.

Zhema Rodero, guitar player and Vulcano founder, has the following to say about the deal:-

"This is a great opportunity in our career and we are very proud about it. Wait for our new album in the next months. It will be a great push in the direction of the metalheads all over the world. Vulcano is a part of the Brazilian Unholy Trinity (together with Sarcófago and Sepultura). In fact, it was the first of the three bands to release a studio album, back in 1986. Ever since then, the group have released 10 full-length albums, toured the world and kept the South-American extreme metal alive.

Fernando Reis, Mighty Music's international promoter, adds:-

"Vulcano is one of the bands that still holds the torch of extreme metal of the 80's - raw, undisputed, honest. It's an honour and a pleasure to work with these Brazilian brothers and help show the metalheads - old school and new school - how authentic extreme music sounds like".

Line-up:

Zhema Rodero - guitars
Luiz Carlos Louzada - vocals
Carlos Diaz - bass
Gerson Fajardo - guitars
Bruno - drums

Brazilian Extreme Metal veterans Holocausto stream new album via "Legacy" magazine's website

23/7/2019

Picture

War metal pioneers Holocausto stream the entirety of their highly anticipated sixth album, Diário de Guerra, at Legacy magazine's website. Set for international release on July 31st via Nuclear War Now! Productions, hear Holocausto's Diário de Guerra in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Holocausto were among the very first extreme metal bands to form in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, a city now recognized for spawning one of the most crucial regional styles of extreme metal. Along with Sepultura, Sarcófago, Mutilator, and a handful of other bands, Holocausto played a particularly sinister-sounding strain of deathrash (or deathcore, as they used to call it in 1987), which, owing to the evil edge it exhibited, is now regarded as an early expression of the then-emerging black metal movement. Holocausto was arguably the most primal of the group, with reckless riffs balanced on the brink of abandon, held together by sheer feral intensity. Holocausto stood out from their peers due to the band’s fascination with themes related to the atrocities of war and a sound perfectly suited to the subject matter.

After releasing their classic debut full-length, Campo de Extermínio, Holocausto’s sound changed drastically. Led by Rodrigo Führer, and no longer playing the same frenzied and primitive style, Holocausto shifted toward a conventional thrash metal sound for its sophomore album before veering into more polished, technical, and even industrial-influenced metal in the early 1990s. Holocausto’s output since that time has been sporadic, but through the years, Campo de Extermínio has retained its power, assuming a rightful place in the canon of Brazilian extreme metal.

In 2016, the original Warfare Noise line-up of the band reunited to resurrect its old sound for the unanticipated and superb War Metal Massacre album. Last year’s Guerra Total demo, featuring the same line-up as Campo de Extermínio, was nothing short of astonishing. Holocausto proved that it is possible for a band to reclaim the youthful intensity of its earlier recordings after straying far from the original sound, a feat that almost no band has successfully accomplished.

With Diário de Guerra, Holocausto has arguably produced the finest Brazilian deathcore / black metal album in about 30 years. It is a vengeful and violent exploration of human horror. The raw, razor-wire sound of Valério Exterminator’s guitar is wound around the pummelling fury of the bass and drums, delivered by Anderson Guerrilheiro (Insulter) and Armando Nuclear Soldier (Insulter, Mutilator, and Sarcófago). The album is relentless, each riff a savage outburst, each song an unyielding attack. Directing the assault are the vocals of Rodrigo Führer, whose snarling, dictatorial growls accentuate the band’s misanthropic tendencies. In keeping with the classic Holocausto sound, the songs here are unrestrained, and, at times, appear to be capable of flying off the rails, but the band always manages to harness the chaos and cacophony in a way that is quintessentially Brazilian.

For any fans of the early Brazilian pioneers, Diário de Guerra will sound almost like an unearthed lost recording from that era featuring all the hallmarks that defined the genre. Hear all of it for yourself exclusively HERE, courtesy of Legacy, Germany's premier extreme metal authority.

Brazilian Black / Heavy Metallers Hellish Grave stream new album at "Decibel" magazine's website

Black / heavy metallers Hellish Grave stream the entirety of their highly anticipated second album, Hell No Longer Awaits, at Decibel magazine's website. Set for international release on May 31st via Helldprod Records, hear Hellish Grave's Hell No Longer Awaits in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Hailing from Brazil, Hellish Grave formed in 2011 with the intent to play blackthrash influenced by great masters of the style, such as Vulcano, Sodom, Celtic Frost, Venom, and Nifelheim, as well as classic heavy metal acts like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motorhead, and Mercyful Fate. After the release of a demo and an EP, in 2016, the band released their debut album, Worship Macabre, via Kill Again Records, which is also the label home for Violator, The Force, Attomica, etc.

Emboldened by that momentum and striking while the iron's red fucking hot, Hellish Grave return with an even stronger second album, Hell No Longer Awaits, via fans-from-the-beginning Helldprod Records. Pushing forward a more unique identity with the force of an iron fist, Hellish Grave here aren't easily labelled as simply "blackthrash"; their songwriting chops have deepened, and they've found an ever-elusive balance between tight execution and Bachanalian wildness. More to the point, they're delivering fucking ANTHEMS that are more accurately described as BLACK heavy metal: the headbang reigns supreme, and it's supremely evil. Not for nothing is the album devilishly titled Hell No Longer Awaits, such is their slaying...

Recorded & mixed in professional studio Da Tribo - where the likes of Krisiun, Ratos de Porão (RDP), and Torture Squad have recorded, among others - Hell No Longer Awaits is truly the coming-of-age record Hellish Grave have hinted at since their not-inconsiderable beginnings. Graced with cover art and layout by Fernando JFL (Damn Youth, Flagelador, Violator, Etc), Hellish Grave's second strike is the deadliest!

Brazilian Power / Symphonic metallers FlowerLeaf have published a lyric video for the track "Grain of Sand", which was taken off from the band's debut full-length "Stronger". Vocalist Vivs Takahashi comments: «This was the first song written by FlowerLeaf. Marcelo [Kaczorowsky, instrumentalist] played some chords on the guitar and I quickly created the melody and the lyrics, and that's when we thought, 'OK, we can do this!'. The title of the album, "Stronger", is based on this song, which talks about how we can change the world even if we are just a grain of sand, so we need to be stronger.»

Watch the lyric video for "Grain of Sand" at this location: https://youtu.be/9mvvBgjcJxc

In addition to the producer and guitarist Raphael Gazal (Pastore, Bulletback), "Stronger", which is available on Spotify, iTunes and other streaming services, features special guest appearances from Mylena Monaco (Sinaya) and Marina La Torraca (Exit Eden, Phantom Elite ).

Brazil's Piah Mater stream entirety of new album at Decibel

5/10/2018

Brazilian progressive death metal band Piah Mater are now streaming the entirety of their upcoming album The Wandering Daughter at Decibel Magazine. The album is being released this Friday via code666.

The band commented:-

"Although it's not a concept album per se, “The Wandering Daughter” does have a common theme throughout its entirety, a thread that connects its 6 songs into a sensorial unity. On a musical level, we aimed for that feeling of being taken on a journey, with its many pitfalls and climaxes along the record’s 56 minutes of play. Lyric-wise, that thread would be the relationship between man/ woman and nature. I understand that, at a first glance, this is not exactly groundbreaking territory for a band to explore in their songs, plenty of artists have delved into this topic before. But I do believe that, when crafting lyrics, perspective is everything and that the way this subject is presented stems from a very genuine and intimate place. I hope that comes across to the listeners as well."
