Finnish love metal pioneer Ville Valo (VV) has released "Echolocate Your Love," the second single from his forthcoming debut solo album Neon Noir. The album arrives in early 2023. The elegiac goth-optimism of "Echolocate Your Love" gives a fuller picture of the wrought elegance to come. Watch the video here. "It's a sonic step-by-step guide on how to survive, and perhaps even enjoy, the realm of VV with its abundance of things that go bump in the night," says Valo. "It's a teary mascara marathon between Robert Smith and Ozzy, with a dash of hope." You can watch the previously-released video for "Loveletting" here. Further details about Neon Noir will be released in due course. In the meantime, VV's headline tour, taking place next year across Europe, the UK and North America – has already sold-out across a number of cities. Get your tickets here to avoid disappointment. Finnish symphonic power metal band Everfrost share brand new single "Flyers" taken from "Frostbites", an EP of anime opening song covers coming out November 2022.
The band adds about the track: "‘Flyers’ by the band BRADIO became a big hit in the Japanese anime scene when it was used as the opening for cult classic show Death Parade. It’s a song we’ve wanted to cover for a long time because of its infectious groove and anthemic chorus, perfect for Everfrost! On this song we had the privilege of working with featuring vocalist Rob Lundgren, well-known for his bands Mentalist and Reveal, and vocal work on YouTube. His fun, energetic style was perfect for the track and he gave a great performance! Aside from arranging the song into a heavier genre, main songwriter Benji wanted to elevate the chorus specifically with a huge vocal sound. This lead to us having the pleasure to work with a group of excellent singers in Finland to provide the large group sound heard on the track. This group consisted of Yannis Papadopoulos (Beast In Black), Bini Silvennoinen (Blame Me!), Mikael Salo (ex-Everfrost, Thy Row, Dyecrest) and Sara Strömmer (Shereign, ex-Fear of Domination). It’s time to crank ‘Flyers’, put your hands up and have a blast this summer!"
The Finnish four piece Apocalyptica announce the release of their very own Cello-Metal reinterpretation of Ludwig Van Beethoven’s legendary 5th Symphony. Eicca Toppinen says: “The beginning of the fifth symphony by Beethoven is one of the most iconic classical themes ever written. The process of rewriting and transforming it into a new perspective was a challenging but a really joyful ride. Beethoven was one of the first “metal-heads” in classical music which made it even more enjoyable to work out his theme with more modern sound and approach.” Listen to Apocalyptica’s “Beethoven 5th” and watch the animated visualiser here. The previously released single “Bolero” as well as “Beethoven 5th” are going to be part of Apocalyptica’s upcoming EP named “Metal Classic, Classic Metal”. Apocalyptica will be touring the US extensively in 2022, as well as playing multiple Summer festivals, among other dates, before hitting Europe with the aptly named “Epic Apocalypse Tour” alongside Epica and Wheel. Finnish modern metallers Without Warning release their 3rd single “Black Venom” via Inverse Records12/6/2022 Finnish modern metal band Without Warning released their third single and music video Black Venom via Inverse Records on June 9th 2022. “Black Venom” is an intense story about the definition of evil, manifested in a woman and ready to spread hatred everywhere she goes. Visually the story is brought to life in a horror biohazard surrounding, taking the spectator in the middle of events. The song came along quite fast as Juuso (guitarist) got inspired by the concept of the story, and wanted to bring life to it. It felt as the easiest project so far music wise as the band had a very clear idea of how it would be produced. “I like to write about my experiences in a metaphoric way, just like I did with Black Venom. I believe in the good in people, but on a rare occasion you might cross paths with someone you wish you didn’t. Someone who lives off of creating chaos and taking everything from you to the last drop. Pure evil. And that’s what spreading the black toxic is about.” states Micha (vocalist).

Regarding the single Blind Channel say:- “‘Don’t Fix Me’ continues the theme of brokenness, featured on the upcoming album. However, this time we decided to be empowering and uplifting and wrote something people wanna scream while having the craziest time of their lives. This song is the soundtrack for the wildest parties and the cure for the day-after’s hangover.” ‘Don’t Fix Me’ is the latest song to be taken from the band’s upcoming fourth album Lifestyles Of The Sick & Dangerous, which also features the previously released award-winning and multi-million streamed singles including ‘Bad Idea’, ‘Dark Side’, ‘Balboa’ and ‘We Are No Saints’. The group's as-yet-untitled debut full-length is currently set to be unleashed at the beginning of 2023. In the meantime, Anzillu's first single “Needles (On My Nerves)” is available for streaming now, and the music video for the song is available to view at https://youtu.be/AVY2HntvZR8. Additional music from the band's debut album will be unveiled throughout the remainder of 2022. Says the band:- “Having worked hard and kept a tight lid on this band during the COVID-pandemic, it’s great to finally see that our patience paid off. We are thrilled to start working with M-Theory on this upcoming release and can’t wait for people to hear the album. You can expect a couple of tunes to drop throughout the year before the January release.” Though the band itself is new, the musicians comprising Anzillu are not inexperienced. The new group – whose name is inspired by the ancient Sumerian word for “abomination” - was formed in 2019 by guitarist Jesse Kämäräinen after the dissolution of his previous group Inkvisitor, which released two records of thrash-influenced extreme metal between 2015 and 2018. Kämäräinen had already demoed an album's worth of new material at the time of that development, and went on to bring in a battery of fellow notables that had also been making their names within Finnish metal circles to form Anzillu. The searing vocal talents of Teemu Kemppainen (Argent Void), the thunderous bass of Rasmus Kantonen, and the death metal crunch of fellow guitarist Sami Katajainen (GAF) join Kämäräinen's six-string powers to deliver a blistering assault of aural senses. Anzillu – now armed with a full album's worth of material and their collective metallic powers – honed the existing demos into their final form throughout the first half of last year, and entered Sonic Pump Studios in August 2021 with Nino Laurenne (Wintersun, Lost Society, Amorphis, Apocalyptica) behind the soundboard handling recording/mixing duties. The music video for “Needles (On My Nerves)” is just a small taste of the metallic mayhem set to be delivered in full by ANZILLU. The group is also set to perform live June 3rd at Tiivistamö – Helsinki, Finland, as well as at the the John Smith Rock Festival in Laukaa, Finland headlined this year by Airbourne, Dark Tranquillity, Powerwolf, and more - during the weekend of July 21st through July 23rd. More information on ANZILLU, their debut album, and their plans for additional live shows will be revealed in the weeks to come by M-Theory Audio and at www.facebook.com/anzillufi. ANZILLU is:
Hailing from the eerie part of Helsinki / Finland, HEXING are glad to announce that they have signed a deal with Wormholedeath for their album "Welcome to Salem" out via Wormholedeath worldwide. Band statement: "We are super excited to finally be able to release our debut album and to begin working with Wormholedeath records. We have tried to blend the energy and rawness of many old school thrash metal bands such as Exodus, Stone and Megadeth, with influences from various metal subgenres, such as death metal. Many of the songs on this album feature fast riffs, heavy breakdowns and plenty of guitar solos." Hexing was formed in East Helsinki at the beginning of 2021 under the name Salem by Riku Siisiäinen, Ossi Kylliäinen and Mio Asimont. Ben Kejonen and Daniel Gamache joined shortly after and the band began working on new material right away. The name Salem was later changed to Hexing before the band's first concert. After playing multiple concerts in the fall Daniel Gamache decided to leave the band before the album was recorded and he was replaced by Tuure Suomalainen, who recorded many of the guitar solos featured on Welcome to Salem. In spring and summer, Hexing performs in Finland. Sometime later, Hexing also heads to other parts of Europe. Have a nice summer! Line up:
